Primitive Old Vintage Farm Table Wood DOUGH BOWL Trencher 39" Long. Fabulous primitive old wooden Dough Bowl/Trencher. This bowl measures approx. 39" long and is approx. 15 3/4" wide. I've had this bowl for about 12 years and was purchased at a local farm auction. I love to store potpourri inside with candles nestled amongst the potpourri~great country or primitive look! At Christmas it looks wonderful with greenery and tiny white lights inside. Due to the large size I believe this bowl at some point in time was used to feed farm animals. There are signs of age and use and does have some surface cracks(none go all the way thru) There is a nick out of one edge, some insect holes and rough edges.everything that gives primitives that great patina we all love! There is already a hole drilled in one end if you want to display ... morethis on your wall. ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE 20.5" WOOD TRENCHER DOUGH BOWL This is a beautiful dough bowl that was acquired recently from an estate in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Although this primitive wood dough bowl was carved from one piece of wood, it has a nice smooth finish. In addition to its length of 20.5' x 10' wide and 4" deep. It is doubled handled and shows a few small white paint specks on the surface of one side. Can be easily removed. It remains in very good condition. Very smooth surface separation/ crack has been repaired near one handle. This wonderful old trencher with its old aged patina and color will look great and is a perfect size for your harvest table or wherever you decide to use it. Large Old Primitive Wood Trencher Dough Biscuit Bowl Handles Carved Tiger Maple?
We have a vintage wooden dough bowl that we bought from an antique estate sale here in Middle Tennessee. It measures 24 3/4" long X 12 1/2" And comes up from the table 4 1/2 to 5" Handles are carved on each end of the bowl on the outside. The bowl has a shiny finish on parts of it where it hasn't worn off and and you will see in the pictures that the wood has split at each end on the inside. I don't know what kind of wood it is. An eBayer told me her hunch was it was Tiger Maple. It weighs 5 lbs. This old trencher has lots of character and would fit right into a Country Antique Kitchen setting. Antique Continental Beech Wood Dug-Out Handled Dough Bowl Pie Keeper Trencher
You are invited to bid on this lovely antique dug-out wooden bowl. Dating to approximately the early 19th century. I think it is possibly a dough bowl, pie keeper or trencher. I believe it to be made of beech wood and think it is possibly Continental. maybe Scandinavian. It bowl is dug out of a sturdy piece of wood. There are handles at the ends which have been decorated with crude craving of zig-zags. There are traces of red colour banding on the round part of the handles. This bowl was obviously much loved and considered important enough to repair- a piece of wood has been fastened into one side of the bowl- this was clearly done some considerable time ago because the'new' wood is nicely weathered. There is some wear to the opposite side of the bowl where it looks as though the original surface has been worked back to make it match ... morethe damaged side. Again, this was done a considerable amount of time ago. Overall the bowl has a lovely aged patina and a real feel of history attached to it, and I can imagine it in a late Georgian kitchen. This lovely antique piece almost 20" across at the handles. By 13.5" by 2" deep. It is in good condition for its age. A lovely piece of antique woodenware. And a fine addition to your collection. 4 vintage Stoware BOWLS Stowe Vermont Country SOLID WOOD Bowl Small Trencher
Here are four nice old vintage solid wood turned bowls by Stoware made in Stowe. Vermont. Great shapes and mellow patina, each measures approx. 6" in diameter x 2" high, since they are hand turned the sizes vary slightly. The interior of each has beautiful graining and once re-oiled, the graining will show even more. The outside finish on each is not perfect but can be cleaned up with minimal effort and left as is as well. There is one bowl with a dark mark, almost looks like a burn mark, however it is part of the graining and is not damaged. I believe the wood is maple but could also be cherry. EACH of our bowls are COMPLETELY Unique. NO TWO are ever exactly alike. This is trencher 1092. The design was inspired from the really GIANT ones that Rick does for the big harvest tables. We received several requests from those who wanted something similar but shorter(because not everyone HAS a huge harvest table) AND we had inquiries from those wanting an even DEEPER trencher. THIS design reflects those two requests. Keep in mind a lot of work goes into a trencher like this because it takes a bigger piece of wood to achieve the DEPTH.Plus it's MUCH harder to carve that much depth. This one has a 1 7/8" split to the lip(you can see it at the bottom of the first picture below) It just adds to the rustic and rugged authentic(old) look of the piece and affects nothing. These are not MEANT to look"perfect" Rather they are meant to replicate the way the crudely carved old authentic ones looked. THAT said. ANTIQUE FRENCH WOOD DOUGH BOWL TRENCHER HUGE 36" BLACK CREAM TEAL BLUE PAINT
We are pleased to offer this very lovely. Old, antique dough bowl trencher. This wonderful primitive piece dates to the early 1900s and is probably French or European, judging by its design. It has been beautifully painted in a unique, triangular pattern. The colors are antique white/cream, teal blue and black. Textured gold"dots" have been applied at the intersecting paint colors. The paint has been worn and is aged. The inside of the bowl does show signs of use as there are some natural stained areas that are darker than the surrounding wood. The wood is old and does have some cracks/splits but the piece is very good and intact. It has a wonderful rustic charm and lots of character. It has subtle handles carved into each end. This is a great wooden bowl found at an estate the family was native american and I was told the bowl is indian but I can not be sure. It measures 3 ft long 16" accross. There are 2 cracks one has been repaired with brads it is about 7" long and the crack goes all the way through the other is about 3" long and crack goes through the top half. Listing is for a vintage dough trencher bowl on 4 lags. Age unknown to me. Measures 20 3/4" long, 13 1/4" wide at center top, and stands 19" in height around the rim, bowl is about 3 3/4" deep at center. Bottom of trough is 14 3/4" up from the floor. Unknown type of wood to me One corner shows a small rim chip and a couple of small cracks and possibly a wood putty repair to the inside( does not show outside) this is above the whitish 3 3/4" long feelable scratch shown in the 6th photo. Opposite corner has a large chip that is loose, but somewhat held in place with a nail that is partially hidden, see the top of 2nd photo and last photo. Absolutely Beautiful Very Large Antique Wood Bowl/Trencher This wonderful bowl measures 35 1/2" Long X 15 1/2" Wide X 6 3/4" High I love the patina on this piece. I Don't know the origin of this bowl but if I were to guess I would say Germany This trencher would be so great in any room. Just think of it full of Turquoise Glass Floats. This stunning round bowl was hand carved from one piece of wood. The bowl is applied to three spindle legs which were turned on a lathe. The bottom of the legs have a round ball and or an acorn design. The bowl has a lovely patina and is in good condition for its age. There are a few imperfections to the wood as well as a crack in the bowl. The crack looks like it was repaired with a type of sap. This by know means takes away from the beauty of the bowl. The wood bowl is solid and sturdy. I was told the bowl was very old and was used to hold raw wool to be used with a spinning wheel. However it could still be used today to rise bread dough. Very interesting treenware wooden bowl that is hand hewn out of a light weight wood as it is about 19" x 6" and weights about a pound or so. This is a butter or dough trencher styled bowl. Their is the shadow of a bracket that probably allowed it to be displayed on someone's wall and it has many worm holes. I do not have any specific history to this piece as it was an estate buy a while back. Hopefully knowledgeable bidders will be able to discern its age and add to their collections. 19thC Hand Hewn Wood Wooden Primitive Trencher Dough Bowl Treenware 34" x 10-1/2
A lovely well used wood bowl. I don't know where it was made but was told maybe in Europe. It only weighs 3-1/2 lbs. and stands 5"h The inside is dark with lots of grooves and wear marks and there are four identical light scratch marks in all four corners(see photo) so I think they are decorative. Lots of nice holes on the bottom and an all over very rich brown patina color. Please ask questions if you bid as this item is sold"as is" due to my inexperience in such bowls.

Old dough bowl is in fair condition. One larger crack and staining. There are some authentic worm holes present and the bowl has a rich patina, measures 25.5"x11"x4.5" In that part of the world they were made usually from a single piece of willow wood. Excellent Thanksgiving centerpiece.

This out of round bowl measures 11 1/4" at it's widest diameter. It stands 3 1/4" high. It appears to have never been used. There are few marks from storage(which we will leave up to the new owner to remove) But is in exceptional condition. It has the"Munising" markings on the bottom of the bowl. Any white you see on the bowl is from the camera flash. It would make a great centerpiece or nice accent in your country home. This was acquired from an estate liquidation.
