The wooden bowl has one large crack through the center and two smaller cracks on the handle areas. The wooden kitchen tools have rust on the metal. For sale is a nice oldie MUNSING Dough or Chopping bowl. It is in very good condition. Still has some rings showing inside and out from maker. Don't think it has ever been chopped in. The outside bottom has some wood shrinkage. Scratches, and wood shrinking which has started a groove that has started a very thin shrink line on the bottom see pic. It measures 11 1/2" by 10 3/4" a nice oval. It might be a birds eye maple cant tell. Top edge is about 1/2" Great for fruits and other items or just displaying. Vintage Munising 2nd Wooden Bread Dough And Chopping Bowl
Munising Woodware Company was productive from 1911 until 1955. It was located in Michigan's Upper Peninsula in the town of Munising. Local maple trees were typically used and the bowls were often sold in department stores. Based on the marking. This bowl was probable made in the late 1930's or early 1940's. This bowl was issued a factory 2nd because of the defect in the wood, on the outside of the bowl. See photo. This defect is approximately 2 inches long and 1 inch wide. This defect was probably from a knot in the raw wood prior to turning. This bowl is 4 1/2 inches tall. With a 14 1/4 inch inside diameter and a thickness of 1/2 inch at the top rim. The chopper which came with the bowl has a wooden handle. The chopper is 6 inches long and 5 inches tall. Feel free to ask any questions.

Here is a great find for any wood lover. Here are 5 wooden bowls that have been in the family for over 50 years. There are 2 sizes. There is a single large chopping/dough bowl that is almost 16 inches across and over 5 inches deep. It has no cracks and is not varnished and has no finish. It is 5/8 of an inch thick for extreme durability. There are also 4 bowls that are 8 inches in diameter. They are also not varnished and have no finish. They are not heavy for their size so they are not oak but I'm really not sure on the type of wood. The set of 5 bowls weighs 7 pounds 10 ounces with the largest bowl weighing over 4 pounds by itself.
