I can tell you its very very old i could not find another one like it any ware on the computer. It looks like the person who owned it has a old drill bit and screw it on to a old antique block of solid wood. It does screw off its not welded on the drill bit. When you look at the bottom ware screw threads are it begins with a white metal but then it turns into a brass color metal so thats why i my self think its solid brass or bronze but again you collectors will be the judge. Please see the very close up picture of the threads and you will see exactly what i mean about the threads turning into a brass color after the first 4 or 5 threads. If any one can tell me any information about it please do. From the point of his beck to the tail its around 16 1/2 inches long. then from top of tail to bottom of tail its almost 10 inches long. then from his belly to top of his head around 12 inches tall then from one side of his body to other side its around 3 1/4 inches fat. Then when sitting on the block from the bottom block of wood to the top of the head its around 26 1/2 inches tall. The wood base it self is 2 1/2 inches thick and left to right around 6 1/2 and front to back around 6 inches long. Still in very good solid condtion i do not see anything broken at all. Again if any one can please tell me who made this and its exact age and what its made of i thank you very much for your help. This was found from the same estate sale as my old antique Gothic chandeliers plus a very old hunting duck hat with old pins on it that i have listed on ebay please have a look at them if you like. Vintage Rare Tall (65") Copper Lightning Rod w/ Stand
Vintage Rare tall lightning rod measuring approximately 65" Very hard to find rods of this height) Copper base. The tip seems more silver in color as the base has some of the green patina that copper gets from oxidation so I am not sure what this is made of. There is a tri-pod type stand with 2 rings where the base of the rod slips through(probably steel which has rusted) with holes in each end of the tri-pod for screwing into the top of the barn/house. The very tip of the arrow tip is very slightly bent and the rod itself seems to have a slight bend to it as well.

Loading plants, ammunition dumps, aviation buildings, etc. Designed to meet U.S. Government requirements. It is in classic red white and blue with a great big V for victory in the center. Bidding is for this rare vintage copper squirrel's tail which was part of a weather vane. I've been sitting on this item for 20 years looking for the rest of the squirrel but with no luck. Will it's your turn to hold or attach to yours if you have the front part. Pictures show a few dings but overall this item is in good shape with measurements of 21 1/2" long by 2 1/4" thick. This is a very rare 3.5" Ruby Glass Ball with fluted ribs. It looks to have the correct embossing on rim; it is faint. But you can make out"PAT JULY.77" This came out of my Grandparents Estate. He was an electrician and rod installer from roughly 1940-1980. This was packed up in his barn with other items. Also, I sold the another of this type ball awhile back to a collector and he confirmed it authenticity. So, with all that, I'm confident that this is an original and not a reproduction. Antique Lightning Rod Ball-Rare Vintage Ruby Red - Clear
This rare vintage clear red lightning rod ball is in very good condition. No chips or cracks. It came off of an old Ohio livestock barn that was built in 1910. The globe is 5 1/2 inches tall stem to stem. It has a 1 1/4 inch rod hole.The circumference is 14 inches. There is a very small amount of roughness around the rod hole with a little rust residue due to age. It is a quality item. We accept paypal and personal checks. We will pay the insurance. Rare Folk Art Full Bodied Cod Fish Weathervane Great Folk Art Paint Vintage Old Description: Wonderful Vintage Full Bodied Cod Fish Weathervane A remarkable find. We found this wonderful piece of folk art several years ago in an estate out of Massachusetts. The form as you can see is a full bodied cod fish. Complete with attached fins and punched scale patterns. The woman who we purchased the item from stated that she had found in off the coast of Mass. decades ago. Judging from the paint patterns and construction of the body. We feel the piece is circa 1940's, though several other dealers we have shown it to place it slightly earlier. A close pattern itself can be seen in some earlier weathervane catalogs, but again we feel the construction places it later. Also of note. And in agreement with the former owner, the piece has probably ... moreused at a sea-side town, the salty air corroding the surface into what now is an absolutely beautiful patina. Please take a moment to click on the images and you'll see you can produce enlargements that showcase the condition and construction. There is some areas of rust through. Notably near the tail, and also at the lower fins. All the fins are still in place but the piece is in fragile condition. There is even some metal flaking in the interior, heard when the piece is moved. We love the compliment of the rusty surface with the old paint. Mounted on a stand and displayed in both a modern or country home this would be a focal piece of art! Measures an impressive 36" x 12" x 4" Please note shipping is an estimate! This is an antique weathervane straight from New England. This handcrafted piece depicts the infamous horse pulling a doctor in a buggy. This 19th century folk art. It is well weathered and shows a nice patina. The horse and buggy measures 26" long and 13" tall. The base that the horse and buggy is attached to appears to have been replaced and repaired at some point. This is expected with the age of the piece. This item comes with everything seen in the pictures. This is a great weathervane that shows true American Craftsmanship. This has a few issues. It needs to be soldered in a few places. GENUINE ANTIQUE ZINC HORSE WEATHEVANE WITH ARROW 1800s VINTAGE Barn Sign RARE
Here we have a RARE find and that would bean Authentic ANTIQUE Horse weather vane with a Large Iron arrow pointer. I took this from a fallen down barn years ago up in Pennsyvania and I gurantee it to be OLD and as described. Base measures about 23 inch from end to end. The Horse is about 9 inch from end of the tail to the end of the nose.This was how it was when i found it, not sure if it had fletching on the Arrow shaft at one time, if so no signs of it. You can see that the horse has been reattached to the arrow and maybe has some other old repairs but obviosly done a Long time ago. Was done in a primitive manner but still seems solid. Horse has several spots where it looks like it was shot with a small caliber gun, None of this detracts I don't think but please see my photos which shows all this well. Iron arrow is well rusted from ... morebeing out in the elements for probably over 100 years, still solid though. Horse looks to be made out of Zink and has some good detail to it like these older ones often did. Body was made in two sectionas and then joined together.Again this is an authentic Antique Horse weather vane that was used for probably over 100 years and repaired when it needed it so please do not expect one that looks new OK? This is a Remarkable Hard to Find PAIR of MATCHING Architectural Vintage Barn Roof Metal Cupolas with Running Horse Weather Vanes. Cupolas are comprised of a metal material which appears to be galvanized tin and are vented with sloping roofs. The horse weather vanes and shafts appear to be made of a cast aluminum material. These cupolas originated from a barn from a local Fairbanks Ranch Estate. This pair of Weather Vane Cupolas would be perfect for a barn or house roof top. However they would also work as interior Large Scale Architectural/Decorative Elements Each cupola measures approximately 57 1/2" tall to the top of each horse. The bottom base measures about 28" by 28 1/2" and each base of the cupola, the vented section measures about 32 to 33" tall. Condition is good with wear expected and commensurate with vintage ... moreitems. Cupolas have a weathered patina with the white paint chipping and flaking throughout. There are areas where there is a rusted patina on some of the painted areas. One of the horses on the top does spin around. The other is stationery. Nice old weathervane seems to be an old man and woman sitting on chairs. The man seems to be gesturing to the woman or maybe even scolding her. I bought this at an estate sale and do not know anything about it or how old it is. It seems to be aluminum. It is painted black and the black paint is wearing off. This measures about 21 3/4 inches tall and 17 inches wide. The weathervane is solid with no breaks or cracks. Please look at pictures to see condition and feel free to ask any questions.
