Weathervane Windmill with Rooster on Top from Montana Ranch-Antique
This old unit needs some TLC on the windmill. However, the rooster and wind tail are in nice vintage galvanized shape. Someone that wants to restore the windmill could do it with some tin snips, a drill and a little time to make up the blades and braces that are missing. The hub bearings appear to be o.k. as it spins. It was mounted on and is an old galvanized pipe. We will ship by taking the windmill off the weathervane and laying all flat in strong cardboard. This unit is off a ranch in West Montana. A lot of history in this one. It weighs 20 lbs. of metal. The total length is about 3' the wind tail is 18" x 18" and the windmill is about 32" in diameter when complete.

This lightning rod is very old- all of the iron parts are rusty and the copper? finial has great green patina. A strong magnet does not stick to the finial. The twisted iron is one solid piece. Not wires twisted together. It measures 52 1/2" tall, has a 3 legged base, and the legs can probably be spread to make it stand on its own. The twisted rod moves freely up and down in the base guides. The finial is marked KRETZER ST. LOUIS- see photo 4. Please see the other items I have listed. All I remember about this item is I purchased it off Ebay 10 years ago for 95.00. I remember it was pre 1900 and the person had photos of where it was from. It came off a victorian house in Pennsylvania. I dont have the photos anymore. I was going to use it for a mixed media art project but never got around to it. It was the top of a weather vane lightning rod. Its VERY heavy. You can see how big it is from photo. I put a battery next to it. I accept paypal only. I ship same day as payment received. Has a few bent points but if you made it to that age you would have some bent parts also. They stand about 9" tall and about 9 1/2" wide. These are becoming harder to get because they are bronze or brass and lots are being melted for scrap. Most of my items are preowned, vintage or antique so they will show age appropriate wear. The Lightning Rod has the twisted iron rods which show its age due to the rust on the rods but in good shape. The rods have two connectors that have the white porcelain insulators marked“ RH CO No. 74” Reyburn-Hunter and Company) The copper end on the middle rod is also marked“ RH CO” and has a green patina. The center rod measures approximately 62” high. The arrow is marked“Kretzer St. Louis” and shows its age with its green patina. The arrow is non-magnetic and measures 22” long. The ball is a nice cobalt blue color in good condition with just the usual nicks/cuts on the rims. There are no ball caps. Marked“Ajax” I have removed some of the points from its base but packed together for safe shipping. The lightning rod has a round metal stand. Shows rust but in good condition. Rare Lightning Rod Finial Tip Top Point 1900s Cast Iron Antique Old Barn
Just found at an estate sale here in MA an old lightning rod. The man who sold this to me said it belonged to his dad in NH. I have another one that is longer. Really nice wrought iron. He said it was from the 1900s- 1920s. This item is used but in good condition. There is no topper so you can add your own. I have hand buffed this item and removed the old patina. As some people like the shine! It measures about 39" x 18" in height and width and the letters are about 3"x3" This is a good American Vintage piece.

Antique Desk/Table Top Copper Horse Weathervane (4155-3)
Here is a rare find. Don't seem to be many of these table top ones around. This has no markings that I see. The 5" base& the N The piece is 14" tall and the horse is 9 1/4" Horse slips out of copper ball. Other than a scuff on the base. I see no damage of any kind. The scuff isn't really damage either, just wear. Truly lovely old piece. I am also listing another one with an Eagle instead of horse. I believe those are the 2 most popular figures.
