An Amber Moon& Star, a SCA Electra, a Blue Milk Electra, and a SCA/WMG Diddie Blitzen. All balls are in great shape. Any collar chipping, a cap more than covers. There is no major chips on any of these, just nicks or small eraser size chips. No bb damage or cracks. I'm selling these as a starter collection. A nice vintage"medium" size barn cupola from a barn roof in rural Syracuse. Nebraska. Measures 46 1/2" square and about 12 foot tall. Is attached and stands on four 4x4 wood lumbers. Some rusted out spots near crown, underneith, could be primed and stopped. About 10 bullet holes in total. The weathervane is present and removeable. Cast iron& copper weathervane. The animal from the fin of the weathervane is missing. But another may be attached. I supplied the two vintage blue glass balls. ANTIQUE c.1900 CAST IRON and COPPER WEATHER VANE ARROW 28 1/2" LENGTH Great old cast iron weather vane directional arrow. Figural arrow has a center double loop where it can be placed on a lightening rod or pole. The opposing end of the arrow is thick copper and was made so an animal or figure could be mounted to it. The cast iron arrow and copper rod are riveted together in the center. This appears to be all original and is all very old but solid and free of cracks or damage. Some typical pitting in the cast iron as shown. The overall length is 28 1/2" With the arrow portion measuring about 16 inches long and the copper rod portion measuring about 12 1/2 inches long. This arrow is from the same estate and building as our recently sold copper horse weathervane was. Please review photos to assess condition. Here we have for sale a very old original lightning rod bayonet tip. The tip has the small 7/16" thread. The tip is a 10" brass bayonet. It has a nice looking bell style base. This style is attributed to Reyburn Hunter Co. and Smith- Hewitt as well as others. Has old black patina and maybe gold finish? Tip is in good shape. Not resharpened and she's not bent up. This is a great lightning rod tip and this 1880's- 1890's stuff aint easy to get anymore that isn't deteriorated away.

But it's generally in nice shape to be older and used. I'm using the postage calculator on this. And sometimes it charges too much for postage. Old 1900's Original Franklin Lightning Rod Weathervane Farm Hardware Barn Find
Here we have for sale an old original lightning rod fresh from the loft of a Kentucky barn. Found this relic suspended from the rafters of a dilapidated barn here in South Central Ky. It has been dangling for quite some time as most of the green patina has tarnished with a rusty red finish. The tin roof was mostly ripped off and this was the only rod left. Rod is a 5' copper clad twisted style rod. Yes I know it doesn't look copper but it actually is. It's a copper plate over a steel rod, not a thin copper wrap. These were the most expensive rods on the market at the time but they didn't hold up well. The copper and iron didn't agree with each other. The copper plate is rust stained but if wire brushed will be bright copper except for were the iron has rusted thru the plating. The rod is still very solid with some minimal ... morepitting. The bottom fitting is stamped"Miller Quality" The bayonet is a 10" broad blade style stamped"Trade Franklin Mark" Stand is a 3' uninsulated style. Recently acquired from an estate. This auction is for a fantastic primitive antique weather wind vane. With a fan at one end and a prop at the other, the entire thing is made of wood with the exception of the fan, its made of tin. The workmanship on the prop is amazing. Entire length is 20-1/4 inches. Still has remnent of original paint on wood. Prop measures 8 inches across. In the center of the wood is the original nail that affixed this piece to the remainder of the body. Antique 1860's 1870's J.H. Weston Lightning Rod Glass Insulator Farm Barn
Here we have for sale a hard to find style of lightning rod insulator. As you can see this one is used and abused but it's still a surviver. It is embossed just above the mounting ring J.H. WESTON CIN. O. The embossed is pretty darn good for this style which is usually quite weak. Color is a blue-aqua. As for damage there's a few flakes around the tie wire openings and a nice no glass missing bruise on the base rim. I imagine there was one too many blows driving the nail home and the base paid the price. The original cast iron mounting collar has one ear broke off. The collar is stuck tight on the glass from 140 years of rusting. Despite the damage, this piece displays darn good. Here we have for sale a very nice set of 3 fancy scroll style lightning rods. Here's what you get 3-18" all aluminum noninsulated scroll stands. 3- all aluminum 32" twisted star rods. There's a 4th. rod with a split two piece ferrule but no stand. Note added 2-3-2014. This 4th rod is no longer included. Look at the way the rods spiral with a taper. Forming their tips. Quite unusual indeed. Each rod has it's twp piece cast aluminum T- clamp for connecting to the ground cable. You also get 3- 4-1/2" plain round glass balls. These each have a pink cast to them. Collars are good and there's no cracks or bb damage. No caps, I kept em. You get everything pictured, except the single rod with ferrule. These would be excellent to put back on a roof or put them in your collection. If you want. Here we have for sale a very nice victorian era iron lightning rod. Lightning rod is made of twisted iron with brass fittings. Rod is 41" long with a nice big 10" brass bayonet. Rod has the bottom clamp. Bottom female fitting is stamped St. Louis L.R.Co. St. Louis. Mo. Stand is the standard style and measuers 24" tall. It is the insulated style with 2 white porcelain double collar style insulators. No damage to these. Real nice looking old lightning rod indeed. Here we have for sale a lightning rod with an old green glass weathervane. Stand is 3 ft. tall made of twisted wires. Insulators are embossed C.B.F.R. on one and Ohio Lightning Rod on the other. The latter one is damaged. Lightning rod is 5 ft. tall made of twisted iron. Tip is an aluminum 9 point crown point. The tip will not unscrew. Weathervane is 23" long and made of cast iron. The 7-up green glass is 100% guaranteed original to this vane. Glass is in great shape. No damage or repairs to the vane. She's really rusty and pitted. Looks great! Here is a vintage cast aluminum weather vane with a sailing ship pointer on top which spins freely. The Ship and directional markers are made from thick cast aluminum. The center pole appears to be brass. Although it is quite tarnished. There is a metal mounting plate at the bottom. And under that a circular wooden base that is very weathered. Measures 28" tall and 16" wide at the widest point, Very solid and well made. The wooden base will need replacing or repairing if you plan to use it. Here we have for sale a lightning rod finial that has a very rare crown point with letter"G" Rod portion is made of copper. Lightning rod portion is 13.75" in length. Has some green patina throughout the whole piece. The rod has some black paint it looks like? Tip is a brass( at least I think it's brass& not copper? it has. 11 point crown point with a letter"G" in the center. I've been told this a rather tough tip to find. This particular crown point is bigger than any other I've seen. Nor have I ever seen it with this letter inside of it. It also has a connector adapter that slides up/down the rod as shown in the pics it can be removed. Here we have for sale a very ornate lightning rod weathervane shaft. This is 100% guaranteed original. The fancy iron shaft is 23" tall and fits a 3/4" sprial rod. There is a split in the seam on the rod towards the front. By the looks of the mounting holes. It had a small cow originaly. Also included is the original ferrule that this was on. It's worn thru where the vane rides at the bottom but still is usuable. Great looking old shaft and not easy to find!
