Antique VTG Copper Running Horse Weathervane 19th Century For sale is an antique copper horse weathervane. I have been told that it is an Ethan Allen running horse made by either L.W. Cushing or J.W. Fiske. But I did not see any marks so I cannot confirm this. The horse has a hollow body(two copper sides) with a solid cast iron head. The weathervane measurements are as follows: Horse Width(from bar to bar) 33” Horse Height(Ear to front leg) 16” Top of horse to the base- 4ft/ 48” The weathervane is all original. I dont see any replaced parts. Besides for the bracket on the bottom. The vane had been maintained(greased) so the horse will spin in the wind. The pole(stand) is pretty rusty. ITEM: Rare Vtg or Antique Mini Table Top Weathervane. Brass and Copper 12” DESCRIPTION: This neat piece was found at a farm estate sale in mid-Michigan. I am not sure of its age. It is a miniature version of a horse weathervane. To be used as a table top decoration. It stands just under 12” tall. The horse is about 7-3/4” wide and the base is 4-1/4” wide. It appears to be made of brass and copper. There are five pieces: The horse top, the round copper ball, the North/South, the East/West and the base. When put together, the pieces spin around. CONDITION: The brass has some tarnishing and there are some little dings in the horse here and there. The detail on the eye of the horse is clearer on one side than the other. The round copper ball is in great shape with only one tiny little ding that's hardly noticeable. There is some dark staining ... moreon the base. There are some areas where it looks like some pieces may have been re-soldered. But I'm not sure– it's possible this is original. The back end of the horse on the top is coming apart slightly but it does not detract from the attractiveness of the piece. Great vintage patina! ANTIQUE VTG COPPER CAST IRON LIGHTNING ROD WEATHERVANE AAFA FOLKART AMERICANA
This is a wonderful VINTAGE ANTIQUE LIGHTNING ROD. DIRECTIONAL WEATHERVANE WITH COUNTRY PRIMITIVE HOLLOW ROOSTER THAT HAS GREAT DETAIL. The weathervane was made for a barn or cupola and is circa 1900, if I had to guess. The directional rod seems to be cast iron, the lightning rod seems to be copper and the rooster is made of what, I think, is zinc. The weathervane is 34" tall and is 23" wide at the arrow. The bottom stand has 2 mounting holes for screws on each leg and the rooster is 10 1/4" tall and 7 1/2" wide. The weathervane is in very nice condition with a very small dent in the lightning rod and there might be a repair on the directional rod. There is a glob of something on it by the arrow. I cannot see what it is because of the paint so I am not sure. It might just be a weight. I have to say, that I did not notice ... moreit when I bought it years ago. The weathervane is a great piece of Americana and would made a great architectural addition to your home or it has many more years of being a weathervane. Vtg./antique cast iron lightning rod cap
This spear shaped lightning rod finial is approx. 9 1/2" tall. The inside dia. of the cap is 1 5/8" There are 3 grounding cable attachment loops on the base and a 6 wire twist cable wrapped around the base. The only identifying mark I could find is on the bottom edge appears to be a circle with a 7 or L inside it. The piece is rustic and has definitely been used as shown in pictures above.

Antique/Vtg Metal Weathervane folk art Silhouette Boy Dog Goat for restoration
This week we have this orignal antique(this is not a reproduction) weathervane. As you can see in the photos. It does need some restoration. It is missing bits of the arrow. The W(for west) and the center leaf portion is missing a leaf. There is also rust onn the bottom portion. The top portion does and can be removed from the bottom. Antique Copper Lightning Rod With Stand and Amethyst Glass Ball VTG Old 3849-14
Antique copper lightning rod with roof mounting bracket and original glass ball. The metal bracket has some slight bends to it. The copper rod is straight and the point can be pulled off. The glass ball has a Amethyst color and is in good condition. It has the usual flea bites around the fitter ends as well as a small chip also on the fitter end, It is dirty and needs to be cleaned(mostly on the inside) Because of the shape this will be shipped in 2 separate boxes.
