I believe that the seat had fabric covering it at one time as there are small holes all over it. Possibly from staples? This fine piece would look great as a plant stand or even as a stool. It has mounting holes in the cast iron base for mounting it permenantly to a floor or just leave it attched to the existing piece of wood. The stool may be disassembled for shipment. The height is not adjustable. Get creative! Approximate Measurements The stool measures 19 1/2" tall and 21" tall including the base board. It has an approximate 6 1/2" diameter base. I removed these from a midcentury piece ... morethat was in bad shape that I couldn't use but the legs were in excellent shape. The legs are about 2 inches wide at widest section(top) and go down to about 1/2 inch across at bottom. The legs are a dark stained wood and in great shape. They have the screws on top and the metal plates for connecting to your stool or table. The metal connectors have two holes for the legs to be screwed into(one puts the legs at an angle. The other allows them to placed vertically-straight up and down. You even get the screws to put the metal connectors to furniture piece! This is a great set of vintage mid century legs that would give you that finished touch to your vintage project or to replace legs on your mid century piece. Antique/Vintage Wooden Dome-top Shipping Trunk-White Star Line Stickers
This vintage/antique dome-topped wooden trunk with steel-covered corners and a steel bottom has partial White Star Line stickers on both sides as well as several“ New York” stickers. The trunk has all of its original steel hardware. Including both side handles and casters on the bottom, except for one of the eight metal end pieces on the wooden strips on the lid. The side handles and casters are still functional. The original lid hinges are still present(a few screws are missing) but new hinges have been installed and they are the ones actually holding the lid on. The trunk measures 26 1/2” long. Stands 18 1/2” high and is 15 1/2” deep. It is in good condition. The wooden sides are solid. The inside paper lining has deteriorated quite a bit. Some of the material overlaying the wood on the back has also come off. I do not know hold old this ... moretrunk is but would guess 1880s-1920s? This item is a vintage antique woodden hump back steamer trunk. It measures 32"x 16" x 18.5" It is in very good shape. The outside is all original. It still has the original wooden handles. There are a couple of cracks in the top. But they do not take away from the character of the trunk.The inside has been lined with a mint green floral pattern. This item is a very nice rare vintage wooden flattop steamer half trunk. It measures 24" x 18" x 20. Trunk companies made these small trunks as samples to display the workmanship and the hardware that could be used on the larger trunks. These are very rare. We have been restoring trunks for 17 years and this is only the 4th one we have seen. It does have some small cracks on the top. It has the new leather handles. The latches are in good working order which close securely. It has very heavy hardware with 3 hinges across the back. EXTREMELY RARE VINTAGE AUTHENTIC ANTIQUE STAGE COACH WOODEN 2 DRAWER DOME TOP TRUNK/CHEST SOLID WOOD circa 1840's Up for auction is this very rare vintage and authentic STAGE COACH WOODEN 2 DRAWER TRUNK/ CHEST SOLID WOOD with a dome top. It was actually used on a stage coach and in very good condition for its age. Shabby chic rustic and rugged. Made of solid wood and sturdy. On the outside there is a little paint loss on it due to its age. Mostly on the back of the trunk on the bottom. The outside was probably refinished at one point. It was hand or CUSTOM made. Very heavy well made chest. It is solid with no damage to it or its 2 drawers. The drawers are 14 3/4 inches in depth x 20 inches long x 2" wide. In good solid condition. None of the wood shows any sign of damage. Warping or shrinkage. Both drawers open and close easily. ... moreTwo metal knobs are present on each drawer to open them. The previous owner told us that it was checked by an expert and was made sometime during the 1840's and except for one handle on the top. Everything else is original. It looks like it may have been used as a gun/pistol box or a storage box for guns. Its bottom drawer is QUITE UNIQUE. The drawer has seven raised wooden compartments in the color blue. That color blue was not be the original color. TWO of those compartments were designed specifically to fit pistols. The other compartments perhaps to hold ammo and anything else related to pistols or guns. The trunk/chest by design does not have any side handles. Four strips of embossed metal adore its domed top. When you open the trunk/chest it will not remain open unless you put something underneath the top to prevent it from closing. Underneath the lid of the trunk there is a secret compartment. The interior is in very good condition. The inside of the trunk is all natural wood. Very clean with no odors. Item 14-20344 is a very nice vintage rare wooden flattop travel trunk. It measures 32" length x 16" width x 24" height. It has all the original hardware that is very heavy. It has two latches on the sides. It has the new leather handles. This trunk does not have a key. It has three compartments in the lid that has a Velcro enclosure. t has three trays. One has a lid also with Velcro enclosure. When the lid is open it looks more like a dresser with drawers than a trunk. It has been lined inside with quilt batting a fabric that looks like the old wall paper. My husband and I have restored trunks for the last 18 years and have never seen one like this. Genuine original. Antique Wooden& Metal Chest/ Trunk Est. circa mid-1800's Size: 21.5" long x 15" wide x 14.25" high This chest is well worn. But it looks great! The metal banks and plates have a nice rusted surface patina; the wood is in good shape but with a complimentary aged surfaces. The canvas has faded and has been torn& patched in places. The hasp for the locking mechanism is missing, and someone added some wooden"feet" to it which can be easily detached by removing the screws. Item 20354.1 is a very nice vintage wooden flattop steamer trunk. It measures 30" length x 18.5" width x 21" height. It has some cracks in the wood that is not unusual for its age. But it is still a very solid trunk. It has the new leather handles. The hardware is all original, all the hardware latches and hinges are in good shape.
