So if your after the special one, this is for you. everything on this lamp base is Org. except I replaced the wiring& cord. Look at the great metal work on the shade supports& the Original multiple color swirl Slag glass surround by the Org. finish Oak base. This lamp base proudly stands 15" tall& a wing span of 11" for your shade.the arched feet of the base spread across 7 1/2" side to side. This base has not been messed with or taken apart. So I would say It has the Org glass. One side has the similar one on the opposite side it almost looks light colored(faded)but the wood is not faded& is still dark. So that's why I put a picture of the inside. For viewing all 4 pieces.the only way to change the glass is to completely take apart the base,which if you look at all the bottom corners it shows that it hasn't been taken apart. 2 out of the 4 metal shade holders have a little piece of wood they mount on& are loose. Available for purchase is a remarkable piece- an A nti que(circa late 19th Century) Campaign Chest. It appears to be made of teak wood and it is t wo(2) stacked but separate pieces. Th e top drawe r ac tually folds down into a desk with a green leather inset. The desk has multiple compa rtments and drawe rs. Below this fold- out/down desk drawer there are three over two smaller draw ers complet ing the first(t op) piece. The second(bottom) pi ece is made of two larger dr awers- the same size as the desk drawer. Original fl ush brass milit ary handles and accents(corners) and brass c arrying handles o n its sides. AMAZING RARE Antique Salesman Sample Chest of Drawers AAFA Old Furniture BEST
I don't usually list that many items on Ebay in the summer because it's too busy. But. When I find stuff that I know the Ebay community will go wild for, I list it. And I have 4 such lots up right now so be sure to check them out for some great American folk art pieces. This auction is for a stunning antique salesman sample chest of drawers. It's got just about everything going for it in both a folky and country way. Definitely one of the best of I've seen or had the pleasure to sell. It measures approx. 9" tall to the chest top. With the addition of a 2" splashboard. Approx. 10" wide and 6" deep. FRESH, FRESH, FRESH from a Northern NH estate and quite likely NH made. The cut out base is just awesome! Country elegance with folky charm. 3 drawers, with the top 2 being slightly graduated in size over the ... morebottom drawer. Original finish and just the way you'd like to find a piece like this. And the drawer pulls are incredible! Definitely original to the piece. Definitely brass hardware with what I think is inset sculpted and painted tin encased in a clear cover. Not quite sure if the cover over the insets is a thin piece of glass or not. Nice square-head nails all around, including the drawer sides. The splashboard is definitely original to the piece, but it has been reattached at some point as evident by different nails(not recently though) Wonderful early backboard, although I do believe there are a couple backboard pieces missing. Don't believe it's been cut down at all because the height of the feet is proportionate to the height of the cut outs on the base. There are 2 early screws on the backside of the front cut out and a couple small cracks. This is not visible when the piece is sitting and not certain whether the cracks and screws occured during making or after. Piece is solid as ever, great patina, just the right amount of dust on the edge of the inset panels on each side, stunning! In the classic hourglass or"loaf of bread" shape, measuring 12" x 7¼" The box looks like pine wood and is in good solid condition. The leather banding is in fair condition. But looks quite aged and crackled, with some small sections missing(see photos) The hinges are good. There is no inside tray. This style of trunk is named after Jenny Lind. Damaged on front top left corner see photos and normal wear for age to original finish. Solid brass hardware. Beautifully carved detailing, 4 drawers with pull out writing or serving surface. Walnut we flame mahogany drawer fronts. Manufactured by the Warsaw furniture company in Warsaw Kentucky early to mid 19th century. Measures 35" wide x 30 3/4" tall x 20 1/2" deep Local pick up only but willing to store as long as necessary to make pick up arrangements. But must be paid with PayPal at close of auction.
