The rods are approx. 11" long, some are bent but could be rebent straight and attached to the stands that are stamped West Dodd Co, Goshen Ind. The one stand is missing its feet on one side and the clamps that hold in the wire is broke. Please review my photos as I consider them part of my description. Vintage Copper Lightning Rod Tip Topper & Bracket marked West Dodd Corp. #1
You are bidding on one Antique Copper Lightning Rod Tip Topper and Copper Roof Mount Bracket in Good condition. The lightning rod tip is attached to a roof mount bracket which was used to attache the lightning rod to the roof of a barn or house.and then attache cable to the bracket to ground lightning strikes. There is a small section of the woven copper cable attached to the bracket.see photo. The lightning rod tip measures 19 inches tall with the bracket. The bracket is marked on the foot.West Dodd Corp.Goshen. Ind. The lightning rod tip/ top has an aged copper patina.I have lightly cleaned the top.further cleaning and polishing will be left for the new owner. Please see the photos. Vintage Copper Lightning Rod West Dodd ? 12 1/2" with base antique
One vintage two piece antique copper lightning rod assembly. Base is 10" wide and overall height is 14" tall. There are wire remains in base clasp. This may be the style of West Dodd but I don't see any markings so please view all pictures for better description. Enjoy!
