Battery compartment is clean and corrosion-free and batteries are not included. Battery type is(2x) A76 or equivalent. I installed fresh batteries into the camera and the shutter button fires at all speed settings although accuracy cannot be guaranteed. F ilm winder and counter works. Viewfinder is clean.
