Here is an antique cast iron roof ornament called a snow bird. These snow birds were attached to the roof and prevented the snow from sliding off the roof and falling on people or objects below. Now some people hang them on the wall as a little shelf. The part that would act as the shelf is about 5 3/4 by 2 5/8 inches. The overall length of the entire piece is 9 1/2 inches. This one is embossed S&S Mfg Co Slatington PA. Pat July 24 1923. Snow bids came in a variety of shapes and sizes and are a fun and affordable way to collect antiques.

Up for sale we have this very unique and most likely rare Snow catcher or Snow Bird. Made of cast iron. This comes in two pieces with the bar which is attached under the slate and the snow catcher itself which is shaped somewhat like a flower, with the letters"S& S" on it, from the S& S Manufacturing Co. of Slatington, PA. Underneath this it is marked Patent july, 1923. Very old, it does show age. Again, a very unusual one that I have never seen before. Overall very good condition for it's age. This item still needs cleaning as they are still dusty from the barn that I found them in.

VINTAGE VICTORIAN SCRAP BOOK OF ELLEN JANE WILLIAMS ZELLNER ~ SLATINGTON PA
This is a vintage scrapbook with 36 pages. It was the scrapbook of Ellen Jane Williams Zellner who lived Slatington. Pa. I would think it is late 1800's or early 1900's. The scrapbook has some wear. There are loose pages, and the spine is loose, but it has lots of nice colorful die cuts in it. Some of the backs of pages don't have anything on them, but a lot of them do. Die cuts include, Easter, Kids, Birds, Animals, Women, Sports, Winter and Equestrian. There are a couple of loose die cuts not attached. Book measures approx. 13" high by 10" wide.

This beautiful antique porcelain"RIDGE ALLEY" street sign is about 16" long x 4" wide and I was told it was removed from a wall or building from Slatington. Pennsylvania that was being torn down. The sign is heavy and well made with a thick coating of porcelain and I believe the ridge could be the nearby Blue Ridge. There is some slight wear but over all the sign is in very excellent original condition. Ca. 1900s-1930s. Super nice! Here is a vintage booklet titled Slatington vs Palmerton Official Program November 22. 1973 Kickoff- 10 am. This comes to you in used condition with wear. There is some edge and corner wear. The bottom left corner of the program is bent. There is a knick on the right side edge. There is some yellowing and discoloration. There is some staining and smudging here and there. There is a very slight crease going across the program, like it might have been folded in half at one point. There are some holes and pieces missing on the back cover.
