Here we have 2 matching weathervanes.One has arrow with name of company embossed.ROBBINS MARYVILLE. MO.Rods measure 15" tall.has a 19" direction arrow.Both have roof top brackets.Both have plastic balls with a hairline or 2 from age in all kinds of weather.Arrow appears to be heavy aluminum with a thick patina.These are vintage and have been on a local barn roof for decades.

Antique Robbins Weathervane Maryville Mo. Lightning Rod Horse Stallion Folk Art
Up For Auction! This is a rare Robbins Weathervane/ Lightning Rod with a Horse figurine. The weather vane measures approximately 25" tall. It has a figure of a horse on the top and is made of a sand like material or plaster. It is very light weight figure. But does appear to made of something other than plastic. Possibly bakelite, paper mache or sandstone. The horse has three of the feet broken off. One of them comes with the vane. It appears that someone has tried to repair it with some super glue. The exterior of the horse feels gritty like sand and it looks like it was made in a mold. The directional arrow and N. W, S& E(North, South, East& West) arms are made of a light weight aluminum. There is a plastic cylinder that is in the middle of the weather vane. It has two small hairline cracks at the bottom where the screw attach ... morethe plastic part to the main rod. There are very small and unnoticeable. The main rod has threads at the bottom to screw into something or attach it to something using a nut. The diameter of the main rod and threads is approximately 1/2" in diameter. The tail of the direction arrow has a maker's name. It was made by Robbins. Maryville Missouri This was purchased at an estate sale in North Dakota and undoubtedly came of the family's barn or shed. I have no doubt it would make a great ornament. This weathervane is fairly complete and in nice condition outside of the feet being broken. This is a great vintage piece of folk art. Vintage Robbins Maryville, Mo. Advertising Zinc Weathervane Nice!
There is no reserve on this great old weathervane. Up for bid is this aluminum or zinc advertising weathervane with“Robbins Maryville. Mo. inscribed on both sides of one end of the arrow. It is in good working order, but there is a slider on top to attach another piece which we don’t have. The insulator has a crack from top to bottom on both sides. This vane appears to be smaller than some on the pictures that we have seen of other Robbins weathervanes. All in all this is a great old advertising piece. Vintage Lightning Rods Sherman Maryville Mo. Brass Copper Bayonette Nickle Plate
Pair of vintage lightning rods. The larger one is marked Sherman Maryville Missouri and has the number a 11 on the clamp. The base is solid copper bronze with a light green patina. The rod is solid copper bronze with nickel plating most of the plating is still intact. It measures 18 1/2 inches tall as shown in the photos including the base. The bases 8 1/2 inches long by 3 1/2 inch wide as shown. The ride is nice and straight. The small rod is 10 1/2 inches long and a solid copper bronze. There is some Solder near the base see photos this may have been for repair. There are no threads on the smaller one-the opening is three quarters of an inch across. there are no markings on the smaller one. Two for one bid. Please ask any questions if I've missed something. For sale is an antique vintage weathervane arrow and stand. I am not sure of the metal but think the arrow is aluminum-heavy and the stand might be brass. Neither will hold a magnet. The arrow and stand have chipped paint and the end of the arrow is labeled ROBBINS. MARYVILLE,MO. The diameter of the hole for the arrow is about 1/2" The arrow is 20" long and 2.5" tall. The base is 8.5" wide by 14" tall. The arrow spins well but the stalk is smaller than the arrow holes, so it wobbles a bit.Nice Piece.
