Here are some old lightning rod pieces. 6 in all. I know little about these but will describe as best I can, Starting at the top, this piece has a hairline crack not seen in pictures. The next two are hollow copper and still sodderd to the old rod. 4rth from the top is hollow copper with a threaded brass end. The bottom two are solid, heavy copper. Here are six(6) antique lightning rod tips or spires. The three screw-on tips are made of brass. And the other three are made of copper. Two of the non-screw on tips are marked"National Pure Copper. The three that do not screw on are approximately 7 1/4" in length. The tallest screw-on tip measures approximately 10" in length, and the other screw-on that is not bent measures approximately 8 5/8" in length. There is a little bend to the 10" spire at the tip; there is a lot of discoloration to one of the tips that does not screw on(and this one has a little bluntness at the tip) they all show the expected wear; one of the screw-ons is bent; and some of them have green discoloration.
