For auction is Champion 400 forge blower. Real good condition for 100 years old. No excessive noise. Bushings seem pretty good, no great amounts of play or sloppyness. The feet need either new feet or pads on them. It still stands good, but they are bad. 3 1\2 inch outlet, outside. LARGE ANTIQUE BLACKSMITH FORGE BLOWER HAND CRANK COAL SMITH
Here is an antique hand crank forge blower. Large blower that moves alot of air. Non-marked blower/mfg unknown. Has a square air outlet flange with 2 5/8 i.d. round outlet. Square flange measures 3 1/2 x 4 1/4. The only square flange blower I can find were used on old Army forges. Not sure but you could adapt this to your application. Unit was taken apart and cleaned. All gears are in great condition. Light amount of new oil added. You should add more with use. Old sealant was wire wheel removed and a high grade sealant was used to reseal. The outside has a nice old red patina so I left that for a nice old look. Blower wheel was removed and cleaned with a wire wheel. This is one sold blower wheel compaired to others I've cleaned. Screws cleaned before reassembled. The wood handle is in good condition but doesn't spin on the shaft. ... moreCrank turns fine, nice and smooth. Protective oil was applied inside and outside of this blower. Check out the pictures. Nice blower for your blacksmith shop. Up for auction is this Huanuo Forge Penji Katana. The sword is forged from 1095 steel.Blade length is 29' inches and the handle length is 11' inches. The hamon was brought out using a traditional hand polish at the forge. The kissaki has also been polished traditionally. The handle has been re wrapped using black nubuck ito imported from japan thr ough Namikawa. The sageo has also been upgraded with japanese imported sageo purchased from Nihonzashi. It's a robu st sword with a deep sori(curvat ure) Should make for a good cutter of anything from light to heavy targets. Unfortuna t ely when it was shipped to me it just was n't packaged well enough and as shown in picture fou r. It rec eived a deep chip in the lacqu er o n the saya. Valley Forge Flag 48 Star Flag 5-1/2' x 9' Hand Sewn Stars & Stripes Excellent!
Vintage& Original US Army Valley Forge Flag Company 48 Star American Flag 5 feet by 9-1/2 feet(circa WWII. Absolutely Beautiful Flag Very Hard to Upgrade this One! This VINTAGE WWII era Valley Forge Flag Company 48 STAR American flag is marked Spring City. Penna. I strongly believe this is a WWII veteran's(KIA) burial flag, the flags at that time that Valley Forge made were also made for flying too and this one features the double reinforced corners near the grommets that all flying flags had back then(now they are not made quite the same way now. I believe this flag to be either 100% wool or cotton, but I cannot be 100% sure as I see some longer fibers in the weave which makes me think wool, and as Valley Forge is not sure either. The stars appear to be cotton in a linen type weave or some similar cotton weave. I am still researching ... moreand will up date the listing(if possible) when I find out more information. The stamp definitely dates it to prior to the 1950s because Valley Forge added a sewn manufacturing label in the 1950s. Note: There is no real issue other than the stamp is not very dark. However it is still readable. The fabric is in exceptional condition. The stars are definitely linen or cotton in a linen weave and are sewn on both sides of the canton by a hand sewing machine. The stripes are individually sewn together apparently by hand machine also. Unfortunately I cannot tell you the veteran's name who was killed during WWII as his descendent/relative was the one who had recently passed away. There was no family to tell any story. it had been carefully stored for decades. I rate the condition to be near excellent to excellent with no issues! Here is another unique item- there are no others listed on eBay or that I have come across online or in stores like this one! From the research that I've done so far. This pan appears to be of English or French origin. It has the characteristics of those that were made in the late 1700's early 1800's for ... morethe purpose of cooking jams, jellies or casseroles. Dovetails. Handmade rivets and masterfully done reinforcement of the bottom all demonstrate the years of dedication, time and skill that were required of its crafter! The thick brass handles are forever firmly attached by the largest solid copper rivets that I have ever seen! These rivets are so beautiful-they are a work of art on their own. The riveted reinforced/repaired bottom is my favorite trait of this piece. The beautiful pattern adds so much to its character. While I don't know much about the exact history. This is a Japanese WWll Army officer`s sword in 98 mountings. The blade is signed"Masafusa 正房" Dated"Showa Juhachi-nen(ca.1943) 昭和十八年" shinogi-zukuri shape, hand forged Gendaito blade. Masafusa's real name is Shoda Kihichi. Was born in 1916 in Gifu prefecture, made swords during WWll time period and after the war as a gendai sword smith, listed in John Slough's book page 97,98 and rated 1 Million yen smith. The blade is in old polish, no rust, no stain and in good condition. The temper line is wavy gunome with choji temper pattern throughout the blade and has deep turn-back temper at the point. The forging grain is tight itame-hada and no forging flaws at all. There is no bend. No nicks, no crack and cutting edge is sharp. The scabbard is metal scabbard, shows tiny lacquer loss but no dent, no bend and in good ... morecondition. The handle is tight fit, tsuka-ito wrapping is no loose. No cut also in good condition. The tsuba and seppa are matched, no number stamped. The lock mechanism works perfect. The blade measures 26+5/8" tip to the guard, 25+5/8" cutting edge, 1+3/16" width, 7mm thickness at the notch and 39+1/2" in mountings. Antique Hand Forged Blacksmith Tool Tongs Pliers Large Anvil Forge Nipper 2
This is an antique hand forged blacksmith forge tongs. It has hand forged rivets holding its pivot point together. It measures 24" long and opens to 6" wide. Weighs a total of 5# 14 oz. There is some neat old paint stripes(old yellow I believe) running up and down both sides. Has some rust and pitting consistent with its age. Fireplace Poker. Hand Wrought Iron, Blacksmith Made Size: about 34” long Material: 3/8” square iron Stoke your fire in style with this custom made hand wrought iron fireplace poker! This is a very nice poker that I made on my coal fired forge in upper East Tennessee. It was made using 3/8" square iron with reversing decorative twists down the middle to finish it out. The poker is about 34" long and finished with natural beeswax. The business end is forge welded and hand worked to allow you to poke or pull a log in the fire. I can make as many of these as you need. They are all custom made by hand so there will be slight variations in each one with no two exactly alike. A hand made poker like this would make an awesome and unique Christmas present. I guarantee they don't have a Graysburg Forge poker like this- and they will LOVE ... moreit! The pictures show some slight differences in the finish that come from the forge welding process. Once you heat it in the fire these seem to wear off. I try to get the beeswax finish as uniform and nice as possible. Just remember this is the real deal ironwork. Completely hand forged at my coal fired forge and shaped on the anvil with hand tools. This is authentic Appalachian ironwork. Not a cheap imitation. You can use this at your indoor fireplace and it works equally well at the fire pit outside.
