Selling an old and authentic glass insert for a weathervane. This came out of an 18 inch vane. It measures a little less than 4 7/16 x 2 1/4 at one end and 2 1/8 at the other. This is the second one listed we discovered in an estate sale. Like the first. Everything is original; however, the tail glass in this one is broke in two pieces and a portion missing. The glass most likely has no value, but it will be included with the arrow. This has not been clean at all. This was an estate of ham radio enthusiasts and this was mounted on their roof for a very long time. We were told that this one and one other we're listing separately. Were taken down in the late 60's and stored in the basement. We'll be listing one other identical piece; however. The that glass is perfect; very dirty, but perfect. Additionally, we'll also list the two original glass lightning balls. Shipping will be USPS First Insured.

I would guess, to the 1800s or early 1900s. The maker name is weathered but appears to be Kretzer. The arrow is in very good condition with a terrific weathered surface and traces of black paint.
