Farm fresh as they say! Just picked this up in Eastern Pennsylvania. Beautiful copper deer weathervane that comes with a pair of copper orbs. N.S.W.E copper directionals and a great iron mount that has a little rust on it like you'd expect. Deer on it's own measures 32" tall X 23 1/2" wide(Schaefer can in first pic for reference) All the pieces have a great patina on them as the pics show. Pictures 7 and 8 show both sides of the deer. The top features a sperm whale measuring 25" by 7" The N/S/E/W spokes measure 18" across. And the pole stands 18 1/2" high. Altogether, the whale measures approx. 26" tall. I have tested the weathervane with WD-40, but it does not turn. The copper has a light green patina and verdigris which adds to the antique character and overall appeal of this piece. The weathervane is in good condition for its age. But the tail section is a little rusty on top from being out in the elements. It has natural green patina on the copper. Antique Copper Weathervane Horse Americana Folk Art 30"
For auction is for a copper Horse Weathervane Topper. The horse is almost 30" long and total height is 17" and the horse is 13 1/2" tall. The tail solder is loose on one side and there are 2 cracks in the mounting rod. There are a few dents and dings(see pics) All the rest of the seems are intact and it has both ears intact. The mounting pipe is probably brass.

Antique folk art cow weathervane 1900's James A10B ruby globe copper & zinc
This weathervane has all the character and patina a collector could want. Fortunately it has some old west style bullet holes that gives it an even more unique appearance. The ruby red globe is without cracks or repairs. It is stamped A10B. I have no idea what that means. This piece will be packed with extreme care and sent to the new owner without any shipping or handling charges if it goes to someone in the contiguous United States. Large original antique copper whimsical folk art dairy cow weathervane. Cow has genuine green patina from its many years of outside usage along with the usual weathering(wear and tear) This is definitely not a reproduction in any way. Shape or form. Two of the feet have broken spots or a piece missing. Please see pics. Cow measures 30-1/2" from nose to tail and stands 22-1/2" tall. It is approximately 3" thick at its thickest point. The bar that feet are attached to is not complete. I found my cow on a large"working/hunting" ranch in rural Southern California. This is a set of two weathervane balls. They are made of solid copper. They were acquired from a duck hunting club in southern Missouri. The duck weathervane( I also have listed now) was mounted on top of the clubhouse and it blew off the roof top in a huge storm in 2010. Fell in love with the wonderful size. Patina and age of this copper weather vane. It is all oxidized copper mounted no an iron stand. The Weather vane was found in upstate New York. There is one small repair on the lower shaft where an extension of copper was added. The vane stands 17" tall on the stand and 13" long. This rare weathervane circa late 1800's came from an estate in northern California. This is an original Victorian era piece! The hollow copper horse measures an impressive 30” from nose to tail and 14” from head to hoof. The horse body rotates on an axis above the 18” wind indicator letters. Two hollow copper balls; 5” and 3 ½” sit atop the indicator. Overall the weathervane is in great vintage condition. With beautiful oxidation and patina. Looking around ebay I'd say it's likely not an antique but it is very well built and hand-crafted from formed copper soldered together with brass tubing for the structural support elements. It has been stored indoors so it's starting to get a nice patina but has not yet developed full verdigris. All soldered joints are solid. You'll notice that one of the wheels is bent in slightly and the front leg of the horse is slightly tweaked. Both could be easily bent back to shape if you so desire. I was told it was made in the 1800's it was on an old barn that was built in the 1800's so it most likely was the original weather vane put there when it was built. I love this beautiful piece of Americana folk art. The horses ears are missing,it needs some minor fixes,some parts need welded,there is a crack in the base& the end piece of the base is missing but it still is usable, in all its in great shape for its age and the fact that it was in use until recently. East, south, west parts looks to be brass that is 18 in. long with 3 1/4 letters on them along with the brass bar stand. looks too be in great shape with no dents or cracks. Hello and help! This really neat piece was just pulled out of a local estate here this morning on Maines Coast but really not sure what it is? Help! It has great patina. All copper. I asked a few people here this morning and one felt it was perhaps for measuring snow, the majority feeling it is for a weathervane. Total length is 29 1/2" As you can see it is numbered 1-12 two times. And it really measures a foot long at each 12" interval. Any ideas? This is a broken off arrow tail section with the most beautiful patina coloration you would expect to find from a real old piece. It ranges from a dull gold to areas of green verdigris. Old Rooster Weathervane ANTIQUE HOLLOW BODY COPPER FOLK ART
Up for consideration is this nice. Original, Hollow Body Copper Rooster weathervane. It's all there including the wood base. At 33" overall with 12" directionals and a rooster that stands 10" and 8" wide It is a diminutive size. It came from an historic Eastern Shore of Maryland smoke house, thus the smaller size. Seam separations on the body and tail. Directionals are in nice shape. Note the hollow two piece tail. You can use the original nail holes to mount to a stand or put it on the wall. After doing some research I believe the horse depicted in the sculpture is Ethan-Allen. A famous racer from the 1850' 60's. The only part missing is the front arrow, but I have never seen one. Up for auction is this Vintage Weathervane Horse Topper. Made of Copper& Brass. Measures 19" long& 12"tall(overall) Made of thin Copper(but sturdy) I tried to show the Copper in the last picture. The weld on the back leg has come loose but could be easily fixed. The Arrow& part of the Horse are starting to show pretty neat patina. The"cap" on the bottom of the Arrow is threaded. Vintage Copper Running Horse Weathervane 29" Country Folk Art Ranch SW Decor
Up for auction is a great vintage country folk art running horse copper weathervane. C. 1970. The full bodied(hollow, double-sided) horse measures about 29 1/4" from nose to tail and about 13" high from ears to front foot(measurement does not include the attached stand) There is some overall oxidation as happens when copper ages and some dents and dings. There are a couple of heavy solder spots-I'm not sure if they are original or a repair.
