This is a 10 1/4 inch long lightning rod topper marked Kretzer St Louis. Manufactured around 1910. It is threaded and meant to be attached to the upper most tip of a lightning rod to attract the lightning away from the building. It has a green color and may have been painted long ago. I am also selling a wind direction arrow and a star burst rod topper.in separate auctions. and I do combine shipping.

Antique Star Burst Weathervane Lightning Rod Topper Nova Flare, Brass Finial End
This great looking star burst brass lightning rod topper has it's original patina. I could find no makers mark. But these are not seen anymore and I think it dates back to the late 1800's. The star tips are sharp and I just can tell it's very old. This is being sold in antique condition, as shown in the photos. Nothing is hidden. The star burst topper is 8 3/4 inches high and 4 3/8 inches wide at the star. This is a very decorative topper and I'm sure it was more expensive than the norm when originally sold.

ANTIQUE RARE 11 POINT BRASS STARBURST ELECTRA LIGHTNING ROD CROWN TOPPER FINIAL
Very nice and super rare Electra"E" brass lightning rod topper/finial. In the eleven point starburst. Crown point pattern. Measures 7 inches tall and 4 inches wide. With the original attached copper shaft it measures a total length of 10.5 inches. Condition: original aged green tint patina. also has what looks to be some of the original shiny silver nickel plating on the star. Could probably be polished nicely. Several of the tips have slight bends that are easily straightened. Otherwise no bends as seen in the pictures. Does have some pitting along"spear" part below starburst. Copper pipe does have small split where it connects to finial(note these are two pieces. Most do not have original crimped shaft) End of copper shaft is uneven. Antique 5 prong"thistle" style lightning rod finial. This came off an antique barn here in northern New Hampshire. Nice original condition with some flaking of the plating. Shows some verdigris and has a great patina. Prongs are threaded into the main ball and measure nearly 5" long. Main ball measures 2" in diameter. Stands 8-1/2" tall overall. Bottom is threaded. Antique Vintage Copper Running Horse Weathervane Finial Topper Verdigris 31" L
This lovely old weathervane topper is made of two sheets of copper which have been formed on a mold to create dimension and detail. Then soldered together with ears applied. We found this handsome fellow in an old barn, covered with dust(cliche, but true! in New Hampshire. Displays beautifully. We had a hard time listing him as he does look amazing in our home! Okay onward. Measures: Horse is 28"L x 13 1/2"H. Total 14" H(with support bar) Support bar is 31" L x 1/2" Diameter Condition: Really good considering he's been sitting outdoors then in a dusty old barn for years. We expected. But don't see any dings/dents, but there might be a couple. There is a very nice greenish patina or verdigris forming. The central rod that would connect to the weathervane base and directionals is missing, so there is a hole ... morein the tube and a hole in the horse where a replacement could go, however he is soldered securely to the rod by both the hind legs.
