Very unique weathervane made by Robbins of Missouri. The car appears to be made of cast brass and the rest possibly cast aluminum? Use your own judgement from the pics. Wind Vane Directional Letters Old Vintage Solid Cast Brass
This auction is for the two directional arms for a wind vane. They are cast in heavy brass. The two arm halves nest together in a slotted fitting. There would be a pipe running up through the center to support a movable arm and finial. I used a piece of hardware to approximate the assembly in the picture. You can use a piece of conduit or re-bar or pipe from Lowes hardware. The two pieces have the original slotted brass screws that act as securing fittings to clamp the arms in place. These are old. Probably Pre-WWII. The arms are about 2 feet across. Letters are about 3 or 4 inches tall. I can take a better measurement if needed. Feel free to ask any questions in advance. Measures 28" tall and 16" wide at the widest point, Very solid and well made. The wooden base will need replacing or repairing if you plan to use it. Here is a heavy brass cable connector for lightning rods. This piece is cast with the letters WCS. it was made to be inserted into the bottom of the lightning rod tube in order to connect the grounding cable to the rod. It measures 1 1/4" x 1 3/4"

THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL RARE ANTIQUE COPPER& BRASS WEATHERVANE OF A RACING HORSE. I HAVE DONE A LOT OF RESEARCH ON THIS PIECE AND BELIEVE IT TO BE FROM THE 1800'S. THIS ONE ALSO SEEMS TO BE IN BETTER CONDITION THAN ANY OTHER ONE THAT HAS BEEN SOLD ON EBAY. I CANNOT FIND ANY MARKS ON IT BUT FROM MY RESEARCH I BELEIVE IT WAS MADE BY J.W. FISKE. THE HORSE MEASURES 30' IN LENGTH AND 20' IN HEIGHT.
