This is a very rare 3.5 lightning rod ball. White milk glass with the metal caps. And it's NOS and still in original box! This is not a reproduction. It's the real deal. It came out of my Grandparents' estate. My step-Grandfather was a lightning rod installer and electrician. Four large aluminum end caps diameter 1-9/16" with center hole diameter of 11/16" Six medium cast aluminum end caps diameter 1-1/4" with center hole diameter of 11/16" Ten small aluminum end caps diameter 1-1/4" with center hole diameter of 12/16" The diameter of all the caps was measured inside the cap. Antique, RARE set up! Twisted lightning rod and SCA ball, embossed caps and rod!
This lightning rod set up is really special. It is A scroll stand with a twisted Star Rod. it has a bayonet tip that is engraved with the letters CBFR. Call brothers Franklin rod. the rod itself stands 70 inches tall. the ball is Sun colored amethyst very beautiful and comes with two caps that are correct Kretzer brand trademark. One cap is in much better condition than the other but both still clearly show the embossing.
