Up for auction is an antique/vintage weathervane/lightning rod arrow. Unique design. The tail is a rain drop shape with a star in the middle. Age and maker unknown. All original and intact. Made from cast iron. Normal rust for its age but no thin spots. Measures 21 1/4" from tip to tail. The mounting hole is approx 3/4" Very nice piece. Art Deco, patina. Antique large folk art/ Machine Age/ Zeppelin Weathervane/Great Art Deco look!
This is a wonderful and large. Fully-formed Zeppelin Weathervane made around 1940 by a creative individual in Bath, Maine. In addition to being a nice piece of folk art, it has a classic Machine Age Art Deco look to it. The vane is made of metal attached with screws, the entire piece covered in a weathered silver paint. There is something heavy inside the bow of the airship, probably lead, that I am sure was put in to give it proper balance while on a rooftop. Size is impressive. It is almost 27" long and measures 18" in girth at midship. With the hand-made stand that was with it when I bought it, it stands almost 19" tall, plus another 6" on the post that extends above the Zeppelin that I assume was the area where the directionals were mounted. It weighs 20 pounds. Condition is as found and as shown. Please look at all ... moreof my photos carefully for the best idea of quality and condition. There is some scattered paint loss and one propellor is missing. The bottom has a small area of rust. Overall, I would say this is in very good condition showing excellent age and patina. This certainly is a rare form and harkens back to the Hindenburg as well as other Zeppelins that were around in the 1930s. I think it's a great piece of art and a very rare form in terms of old weathervanes. It's sleek, lively and just makes you smile. Vintage Art Deco Old DUCK Weathervane
This is a classic art deco duck weathervane that is about 18.5 inches long. And from tip of wing to the base of the mounting bracket its 14.5 inches. The duck is about 11 by 9 inches. The arrow and mounting bracket is copper. Don't know for sure that metal the duck is. Truly an early hand made art deco weathervane. 3 lbs Priority Mail and I do accept all forms of payment and watch me do the happy jig when you avoid the fat greedy pig. Thanks

Purchased at an Estate Sale. In good vintage condition. Has years of dirt/ dust on piece. There is some rust. The red glass panel has paint or somthing on it. I have not even tried to clean this up. You will receive this in as found condition. The panel has a moon and a shooting star on it. Looks to be all original. Measures about 23" long. Payment is due within 3 days of auction ending. Antique iron Lightning Rod Weathervane Arrow - Moon & Star - Art Deco Red Glass
Offering up for auction an antique lightning rod weather van arrow. It measures 22-1/2 inches long by 4-1/2 inches wide at the glass panel section. The glass panel measures about 6-1/4 by 2-1/2 inches. The art deco style red glass panel is etched with a moon and a shooting star design. This decoration is actually carved into the glass. There is rust and pitting but no sections are weakened by the rust. There are no cracks in the glass panel but there is one 1/4 inch chip. Reclaimed Vintage Art Deco Era Gutter. approx 60' Schwitzer Mansion, Ind.
This Ebay listing is for approx. 60' of Reclaimed Vintage 1930's Art Deco Salvaged Gutter. Longer pieces are atleast 12' in length. 6" wide X about 10.5" tall. These Goods were Recently Reclaimed from the Louis Schwitzer Mansion here in Indianapolis before Demolition. Hangers are Solid copper with a Hammered finish. The Silver finish is a Galvanized wash over the Copper to keep the oxidation from setting in. So we were told anyways. Condition is Salvaged.has some Bends and Dings.some of the soldering on accent/details are loose. If this is to be reused as Gutter, we recommend that a Professional prep and repair this before hanging. Great for Reuse projects as well. Unusual Art Deco era Cast Iron Rooster Weathervane - Some Original Paint Present
Presented to the people is a rare& unusual cast iron rooster weathervane! The base appears to be Art Deco/ Arts& Crafts era but this could actually be way older. I have looked for a makers mark but can't find any. The base is pretty rusty underneath so it could be signed. I did see some numbers on the bottom bolt. Speaking of the bottom bolt. The base can be taken off so one could do different things with this. Such as have it on the base out in the yard(other places) or on a rooftop. Image what this looked like back in the day.imagine what this would look like restored. There are signs that this was mainly a dark green color. As you can see there is still some paint or enamel on the rooster. The rooster even has an eyeball present on one side. See pix closely to see all the detail here. vintage/collectable/art deco horse weathervane?
Welcome folks this item here appears to be the top of a horse weathervane? There are two holes on the bottom plate where it attached to something. I'm thinking a weathervane? It comes complete with the dirt& faded paint from were I found it! The tail& hair of the horse has groove lines in it for contrast/texture. There are chips& scratches in the paint. The paint is also flaking in spots. It appears to be cast allumin. This is one of those peices that you could do a lot with. One could attach hooks to it& make it a coat rack. Or make more little holes in the bottom plate& make a nice wind chime. You can do a lot with this peice. Please look at the pictures to determine the value of this item.
