You are bidding on the antique early 1800's Fold Art. Homemade weatervane as described in the listing title and as seen in the 12 photos. Measures 70" tall(5' 10" and the arrow is 32 1/2" W. Great natural weathering, age and patina over the many years. This weatervane has seen all mother natural can dish out. 1800's Copper Gargoyle Off Victorian Church One of a Kind Architectural Salvage
I Guarantee you will never find another piece like this. This is a once in a lifetime opporturnity to own a piece of history! This is a hand crafted gargoyle off an old Cathedral. I believe this is"hammered" copper and is 100% handmade. All The joints are soldiered and it is 100% copper with no paint that is PURE PATINA! Even if you could find a craftsman to make something like this it is not going to have the patina this thing has. One of the ears has a small dent and one of the edges has some black from removal(SEE PICS! It is over 22" long"protrudes" 16" and is over 6" at its widest point. Not signed and no stamps. Up for auction is a vintage copper hollow cow from a weathervane. It measures about 23" long and 14" high from the foot to the head and the brass piece it is mounted to measures 19" long. We do not have a history or provenance of this piece so we are not certain of how old it is. It does appear to have some weathering and age to it. Antique Roman numerals from a large architectural clock. Came from a basement on one of my home salvages in Hasbrouck Heights. NJ. Still researching actual origination. Will update as I find things out. They were found in the wooden box pictured. Each is made of cast iron and measures six(6) inches wide by eight(8) tall. Each also has two(2) 1.5 inch spikes in the rear for mounting. The numerals have the original red paint. Very very rare item here.
