Google The Franklin Institute Science Museum to see their collection. This is one of Ben's beautiful rods. Hundreds of years old and embossed BFRC(Ben Franklin Rod Company) on the polished and lacquered brass tip. It has been lovingly and professionally refurbished and I'd on excellent condition. The copper star shaped(twisted) rod has been polished and lacquered as has the brass bayonet tip/finial. It has an incredibly warm. Soft copper glow and the point is shiny. The matching twisted iron antique stand was cleaned of rust and painted flat black. It stands 70 inches tall. It comes with two antique round glass balls.a very deep.
