These old insulators are 1 7/8 inches high and have a 1 inch hole inside and a 1 1/2 inch outside diameter. They look to be clear or kind of a light yellowish in color. 2 of them have the knob to hold them in the stand and one of them has it broken off. All 3 have some chipping but they will still work fine to hold the rod. You are buying all 3 for one money and there is no reserve.

This is a very rare 3.5" Ruby Glass Ball with fluted ribs. It looks to have the correct embossing on rim; it is faint. But you can make out"PAT JULY.77" This came out of my Grandparents Estate. He was an electrician and rod installer from roughly 1940-1980. This was packed up in his barn with other items. Also, I sold the another of this type ball awhile back to a collector and he confirmed it authenticity. So, with all that, I'm confident that this is an original and not a reproduction. These were found in a garage in a paper bag with old newspaper wrapped around them; the newspaper was dated 1973 from Wheeling. West Virginia. The age of these can obviously be before or after that date; you be the judge. This is a very rare 3.5" Wine Glass Ball with fluted ribs. It is NOS and is in its original cardboard box/cover. It looks to have the correct embossing on rim. You can clearly make out"PAT JULY 3rd 77" This came out of my Grandparents Estate. He was an electrician and rod installer from roughly 1940-1980. This was packed up in his barn with other items. FOR SALE is this antique metal weathervane that dates from at least the 1940's. Possibly older. It was recovered from a barn in Northern Michigan. The top accent features oxen pulling a wagon and measures 29" wide. The whole piece is 36" tall. Overall in good condition. The top accent spins well. No broken or loose pieces. The finish was painted over at one point as you can see by the light spots in the picture. The base has a locking bolt swivel so that it can mounted on a slanted roof. ANTIQUE CHESTNUT MILKGLASS LIGHTNING ROD BALL Vintage #3
Here is an antique milkglass chestnut lightning rod ball. This measures 4"T x 4"W. I did clean it but it has just a slight discoloration around one collar. One collar has very minimal chipping. The other collar has a little more chipping but nothing deep. Using a magnifying glass I found a tiny flea bite(see last pic, it was hard to photograph) it has no other cracks or chips. I'm back to selling the remainder of the collection of lightning rod balls that I purchased several years ago. This was removed off an old barn/house many years ago. Buyer pays shipping.
