Then when done this stand folds up and can be packed in any small place. See picts. This is also a nice special touch for any guest room. Allowing easy access to your overnight bag, and a great Mid Century Modern look. These were used in the Modern era by many hotels. And you can still find metal inexpensive ones in some hotels. This one is all wood construction. Opens and closes easily and is designed to be held in the'open' position with three attractive ribbon straps. The straps that are on the stand are original. But one has broken/torn, see picts. You may be able to patch it from the backside, but I have also purchased some inexpensive cloth ribbon to that you can see how easy it would be to totally change the look. Customizing it to your decor. This cloth ribbon was purchased at Walmart for 59 cents a yard. Yes less then $2.00 for yards. At that price you could change the straps to match a holiday decor or even to customize it to the rooms that you might use it in. See picts. Customizing the'straps' to match your decor.Will definitely add that very'put together' look, see picts. When opened up it measures approx. 20 inches tall. By 14 inches deep, and 22 1/4 inches wide. When closed up it measures approx. 24 1/2 inches tall. By 5 inches deep, and 22 1/4 inches wide. The wood frame has the scuffs and wear that you expect on a used vintage piece of furniture. See picts. I did clean it with Murphy Oil Soap and a little polish. And the beautiful patina on this wood cannot be replaced, see picts. Gorgeous Vintage Hat Trunk This large square trunk is absolutely stunning. It has lovely brown leather trim edges. Leather straps and handles and brass fastenings. Inside it is lined with a cream and purple striped cloth fabric with multi-coloured straps to hold the lid open. It also comes with an incredibly rare and unique brass insert that slots inside the trunk. It is made of brass and wood and has 5 red mounds in which a hat would be fastened with a pin to allow more than 1 hat to be stored in the trunk when travelling. I have never seen anything like it. It is in great condition overall with just the right amount of vintage wear around the handles and corners. The stitching in one corner has come away slightly. A authentic British steamer trunk. Made in England. Originally owned by a man in Surrey. Original and in great condition except for the loving dents and dings from it's wonderful travels. Inside it has a compartment that's a bit flimsy. It closes with the main latch. I do not have the key. Approx 36" tall 21" wide 13" deep. I listed a flat fee of $100 for the item. This is an estimate& upon winning the item we can discuss the various options& costs you will incur to get the item to you. Goyard Malleries Vintage Suitcase Trunk, Chests & Trunks, Pre-1934
Goyard Suitcase/ Cabin Trunk in good vintage condition. Trunk has all the original latches and original leather handle. Exterior is highlighted by early turn of the century travel stickers- Cunard White Star. Ritz Madrid and Great White Fleet. The interior has Goyard's signature yellow cotton lining. As does the removable tray. Tray has 2 leather handles, stamped"Goyard" All hardware and rivets are firmly attached. Brass locks are marked Goyard Paris. The interior is in good condition with a few splits in the lining. No smoke or musty smell. Please see pictures for details. Measures- 36" x 21" x 13" I'm new here so thanks for looking.
