Chest has very nice carved feet front and back with bowed top as well as bowed front. It measures approx 22" tall including swivel mirror. 12 1/4" wide at feet, and 9" deep at feet and has 2 small drawers at top and l larger drawer at bottom. Mirror is in fine condition. The small drawers each measure approx 5 3/8" x 4" x 2 1/2" deep. The one on the right has a smaller pull than the others but it appears to have been put on at the same time. Bottom drawer measures approx 9 3/8" x 8" x 3 3/8" deep. Bottom drawer has original lock(no key) and is lined with a silver color paper which appears to be very old. So my appologies. Here we go again. This listing is for a really quite spectacular circa 1850 very elaborate apprentice cabinet circa 1850 or so. The cabinet measures 19 inches high by 16 inches across and 8 inches deep. 48 by 40 by 20 cm) The cabinet has 4 wallpaper lined drawers. Each drawer has a brass escutcheon and two round wood pulls each with a brass star. The cabinet is mahogany with the top. Front and both sides covered in marquetry work. The marquetry work is at least 6 different woods including olive and fruit woods. The drawers are flanked by columns with fancy capitals and bases. The whole sits on 4 bun feet. As you can see by the photographs the cabinet is a really beautiful example of"proof" that an apprentice had achieved mastery of his cabinet making skills. The condition is also exceptional for it's age and virtually untouched as far as restorations or repairs. The drawers maintain their original wall paper interiors. There are two relatively pieces of marquetry work missing on the top but otherwise the cabinet is in really fine shape. Shipping anywhere in the US via UPS Ground with full insurance is $30.00. Projecting over the front and sides with tight turrets at the corners over spiral-turned columns- these complex formations transition from a series of tight ring turnings into the spiral balusters over tiny urns and completed with a series of complex ring turnings over cork feet. The columns define the chest, greatly elevating the form with tasteful embellishment that does not distract from the overall composition. The graduated two over three drawers retain their original rosewood knobs, these flanking the inverted tear-drop escutcheons and framed as a whole in the rectangular stringer inlays. Dovetail construction dominates the chest. Through dovetails securing the sides of the case to the bottom and presumably to the interior framing upon which the top is set(unable to verify without removing the top) The back board is deeply chamfered to slide into rabbets in the sides and is secured with glued blocks inside the case and tacks along the lower edge. Miniature 3 drawer chest. All drawers are hand dovetailed at front and rear of the drawers. Top is solid mahagony. Drawer fronts are solid mahagony. Sides are mahagony veneer. The drawer pulls are original. The piece has the lovely patina of antique furniture that has never been refinished. The drawers have been opened and closed so few times that the drawer runners do not even show any wear. The chest and all drawers are solid and free of repairs. In short. This piece is in excellent condition. Old unfinished wood on the back, with the top third missing. This little cabinet is made of mahogany and dates from the early ... moreVictorian period. The cabinet is raised on four turned mahogany feet. The case contains four well constucted dovetailed drawers; two over two. The drawers all have old cream porcelain glazed circular knobs. The lower two drawers have faux ivory diamond shaped escutcheons. The lower with brass lock fitted. The middle drawer has no lock and the escutcheon is really for display and probably inlaid to give the front of the cabinet symmetry. The cabinet is finished with an overhanging mahogany top. Condition: The cabinet is in good used antique condition. The wood is wax polished. Has developed a good aged patina and has marks relating to age and use. The back RHS foot plinth has been replaced at some point as can be seen in the images of the back and underside of the cabinet. The RHS of the cabinet has an age related crack at the top corner. This does not compromise the function of the cabinet. The glaze on the porcelain knobs has crazed and they have some very minor age related surface marks. This item was purchased from a former Herman Miller employee. This chest is made from Teak wood with an external Rosewood Staining. Pedestal base is aluminum and painted"studio white' from the manufacture. Chest bottom has 4 small original feet that allow you to use the cabinet without the pedestal. Antique 19th Century Valuables Chest From the estate of a Vermont antique collector. This is a lovely little miniature chest. The wood is Elm and it has a dark finish. There are two doors on the front that have a lock- I do not have the key. Inside are three drawers with nice brass colored drawer pulls that fold flat into the drawer. The drawers have tiny hand cut dovetails front and back. Beveled edge on the top and the chest sits on a beveled edge base. Original finish. ca 1840 mixed wood miniature / child's 4-drawer chest w. orig. mirror, 1/2 scale
Offered here without reserve is this fantastic Child's or Miniature ca 1840 chest of drawers that has no repairs or restorations aside from the replaced knobs on the drawers(most likely a replaced glass to the mirror as well) It stands but 41 5/8" tall to the finials on the mirror. Whereas the chest alone stands 25 3/8" x 17" wide x 12 1/4" deep. So she's made to 1/2 scale. With fully dovetailed drawers, she's also a menagerie of woods, including cherry, poplar and mahogany(I'm sure there's maple in there somewhere as well) But clearly she's American. What more can I add? Again, there is no reserve, but USPS shipping will run $35 since she's sure to hit the balloon rate charge on shipping.

A Wonderful Late 19th Century Chippendale Mahogany Miniature Three Drawer Chest This is a wonderful late 19th century Chippendale mahogany miniature three drawer chest. A delightful small chest with very unusual form. The wood used on this chest is absolutely beautiful and reminds me of the fine grade Santo Domingo mahogany used on the finest early pieces. It has a great overhanging top. And a lovely scrolled base ending in excellent bracket feet. The bottom two drawers are identical in size while the top one is somewhat smaller. Each drawer has fine dove-tailed construction, and brass escutcheons and interior locks. The drawers also have delicate applied moldings added to each drawer front. The chest looks fantastic and would make a wonderful jewelry box or storage for household documents. This is for a vintage oriental lacquered 7 drawer miniature chest of drawers in need of some TLC. I think it is from around the early1900's but am not sure. There are 6 small drawers in 3 layers and a 7th across the bottom. One of the small drawers is missing its handle. There are carrying handles on the sides- the same as on the drawers. Originally there were doors over the 6 drawer section but are not there now. The face of the unit has a volcano scene. It is approx 23.5cm long by 12.5cm deep and 22cm high. There is no reserve. Vintage Salesman Sample Miniature Dresser 3 Drawer Chest Late 19Th Early 20Th C
Antique. Miniature 3-Drawer Chest of Drawers- I believe it is an early salesman sample that was eventually transformed into a child's doll furniture piece. The Drawer Pulls are in proper proportion to the chest. And are uncommon in size and dimension. The rear panel has apparent age and appropriate patina. The drawers are made of wood. Not laminate. The are nailed together and may have been reinforced a long time ago. There is a circular stain on the top that is clearly photographed. The varnish is certainly very old. The cut-out base is in proportion and very well woodworked. The applied decals depict charming children's Kitty Cat and Doggie images and appear to be applied perhaps in the 1950 or earlier.

Vintage Homemade? Miniature 3-Drawer Chest-False Top Drawer, Lift Top-10" High
Offered is this miniature wooden doll furniture three-drawer chest. Actually. The top drawer front is false; the top of the chest opens on hinges and closes with a latch, with inside space slightly bigger than the interior of each drawer. The chest stands 10" high. The base is 8 1/4" wide and 4" deep. It is very sturdy. With wood nearly 1/2" thick. I'm not sure what kind of wood it is; perhaps pine. The wood has been stained a mahogany color. The chest is in very good condition. The wood itself has no problems. But the finish has some minor marks, spots, etc. The steel pulls have a nice patina but do show some rust. The piece looks homemade to me but was made well. I don't know how old it is but looks old enough to me to be called"vintage" This might also be used as a jewelry box but the deep drawers ... moremay not be practical unless you wanted to store large pieces like brooches. A wash is a thinly applied coat of paint that is almost transparent in quality and is not thick and crusty. The six porcelain knobs are matching and may or may not be original. Excellent decorative cutouts on the sides and bottom front. There may have been a decorative piece on the top at one time as the top edge of the backing is somewhat irregular. The top board is slightly cupped or warped. Small"T" head nails and some larger square head nails visible on the backing. The chest measures 11 1/8" across the front. 6 1/4" deep and stands 14 1/2" tall. Signed"DB 1923" on the inside of the uppermost drawer. Please viwe the slideshow here: Neat little chest of drawers comprising of three nail constructed drawers with hand chamfered drawer bottoms. Resting on turned feet, and a mirror in classical empire style frame. the entire chest is washed over in a red wash stain or paint, and the drawers are outlined in a gold or yellow paint banding. the sides of the case are painted with the same yellow/gold painted banding. the drawer fronts are sold walnut, and the rest of the case is constructed of pine. 100% original condition. great original aged patina, in a warm red colour. no hurts or major damages, aside from minor ... moredings associated with 90 years of use. This hand made early 1900s miniature Louis XVI chest of drawers is branded. Made in France” on the bottom and boasts hand dovetails, matched European walnut veneers and delicate, finely detailed ormolu mounts with fitted natural travertine top. It measures only 10” tall x 11 5/8” x 6” deep and has bombe face and sides. You will note a chip/loss of veneer upper left under the overhang of the marble and losses on the back legs.
