It is in good condition and is sturdy and stable, however, the table finish has a lot ... moreof surface scratches and dings on it, and may need to be refinished. I am unsure of the age or manufacture of the table, but I would guess that it most likely dates to the 1920s or 1930s. The table has one small drawer with dove tail joints and a bail pull handle over an oval backplate. The table has straight tapering legs, and a delicate veneer inlay that runs along the front and sides of the table apron, and down the legs with a matching inlay band towards the bottom of the legs. The table has beautiful grain, although I am unsure of the type of wood that it is made from. The table has drop laves on each side. It is 25" tall, 20.

The stand is in good condition considering it most likely dates to the first half of the ... more20th Century. It has dovetail joints, and one drawer at the top with a single shelf below. The stand has machine turned legs, and towel bars at the sides that attach to a custom shaped trim work that runs across the back. This trim work is at most 5" above the top of the stand. The top of the stand is 28.5" tall, 33" tall at the top of the raised towel bars, is 28.5" long across the back from bar to bar, and 18.75" wide front to back, including the trim. The bottom shelf has a small area at the far right front where it looks like the wood may have been broken and repaired, or at least cracked. I am unsure of the type of wood that the stand is made from, but it looks like Cherry to me.

The overall size is 68 inches wide on the outside of the arms, 48 inches wide on the inside of the arms, 28 inches deep, 38 inches high to the crest, 23 inches high to the arms and 16 inches high to the seat. Lovely Antique,Primitive Salesman Sample Trunk Or Child's Trunk Late 1800's
I have up for sale today a lovely old trunk. I do not know if it is a salesman sample or a child's trunk. It measures 14 inches across. 8 1/2 inches deep and 10 inches tall at the highest point. It is estimated that this trunk was made in the late 1800's or early 1900's. It's condition is pretty good considering it's age. The original leather handles,usually missing in a trunk so old, is still intact. The interior appears to be all original. Still containing the original tray, something that does not usually survive. Stamped on the tray is"S.A.MAXWELL& Co 2595. I do not have a clue what this means. The hinges are original to the chest. The lock,while missing the snap, has the original key. Probably the best feature of this chest is the lovely old primitive robin egg blue color. It is reminiscent of a day gone ... moreby. Your mind imagines where this chest has been, the hands that handled it and oh, the silent stories it holds. It is hard to describe the condition of this little trunk. The pictures really do not do it justice. The worn wood slats. The patina of the paint, the waves of the metal all contribute to the charm. Please note,as I said before, the lock does not work, even though it has it's original key. I will leave the repair of that to the new owner. Also, I have not cleaned it up, this is the condition it was in when it came out of the attic. I have not set a reserve on this trunk. Antique Refinished Rare Size Trunk - Freshly Lined - LOVELY
Up for auction today we have a darling smaller size refinished antique trunk. Recently found in an old barn. With dried torn leather- this trunk was transformed to a great piece of useful furniture for home or office. Measuring 22.25 inches x 17 x 18.5. This is a perfect size trunk for living room, bedroom, or office. Freshly lined with beautiful white and green large checked cotton fabric- this trunk is a beauty. It is a bit funky with a top handle and one on the side. The other handle is long gone. After removing the old dried leather we sanded the wood smooth and treated it with several coats of tung oil and clear shellac. The tung oil brought out a nice reddish hue to the wood.
