A very rare item and the rarest wood slope i know of. Elm wood is a beautiful rare wood with one of the most distinguishable and prettiest grain patterns out there. This slope is very well crafted. AN EXTREMELY RARE. ASPREY, PRINCESS MARY WW1 GIFT TIN TINDER LIGHTER THAT SOME TROOPS RECEIVED EARLY IN WW1. ASPREY COULD NOT COMPLETE THE FULL ORDER FOR THESE LIGHTERS, DUE TO RAW MATERIAL SHORTAGES, SO THE WAR DEPARTMENT OF THE TIME BEGAN ISSUING OTHER"GIFTS" SUCH AS SMOKING PIPES, WRITING WALLETS AND OTHER ITEMS. THIS LIGHTER IS FULLY STAMPED WITH THE PRINCESS MARY INSIGNIA AND THE ASPREY LOGO. IT IS IN REMARKABLY GOOD WORKING CONDITION AND STILL RETAINS THE ORIGINAL STRIKER FLINT. A VERY RARE ITEM TO FIND, AS UNLIKE THE ACTUAL TIN, MADE IN LITERALLY MILLIONS, THE PRODUCTION OF THIS LIGHTER WAS RESTRICTED DUE TO WARTIME RAW MATERIAL SHORTAGES. THIS IS A SUPERB EXAMPLE RETAINING ITS ORIGINAL CHROME FINISH FULLY STAMPED ASPREY OF LONDON ETC WITH NO DAMAGE AT ALL.

Beautifully extravagant and elegant writing slope/desk with stunning French Boulle work comprising of deep red*faux* tortoiseshell and wonderful floral, scrolling bright brass work. This slope is one of if not the best example of these Boulle slopes i have seen and in fantastic condition. The high craft of this slope really is phenomenal. The slope has been carefully cleaned and polished and looks staggering with the bright brass contrasting against the rich red*faux* tortoiseshell. The inside of the slope is expertly crafted in very high grain rosewood with no expense spared. The interior fittings are present including 2 gold metal ink wells and rosewood lid and 2 small stealth drawers all in fantastic ... morecondition. The skiver is in lovely royal navy blue. This entire slope is in very good condition with some slight markings of course commensurate with age. A extremely rare. Beautifully elegant and highly collectable, decorative writing desk/slope. The only other Boulle slope very similar to mine i can find on google is approx £1400 and does not have the gold metal inkwell nor high grain rosewood interior lid. Nothing else like this on ebay. Extremely Rare 1840's to 1850's 20" Jenny Lind Antique Trunk
This amazing trunk is a 20" Jenny Lind from the late 1840's to early 1850's. Originally covered in leather. The wood underneath is beautiful! This trunk is covered with over 130 lead filled Brass head nails that have a unique shape. This trunk has a very unusual size, and shape, but I do not believe it was a child's or toy trunk. It is simply a small, ornate travel trunk that measures 20" long, 11" wide, and 12" tall. You can see from the before picture that the original handles have been faithfully reproduced by me. The lock is original, works great, and has a key. The paper interior is a reproduction I made of the original cloth interior. I did not put in a lid stay as this trunk does not need one as the brass head nails on the box meet the ones on the lid to stop the lid. Antique Steamer Trunk, Extremely Rare Wall Design
Approximately 1891 American steamer trunk. 36"x24"x22" This is a coveted"wall trunk, made by famous trunk maker John B. Duguid in Toledo, Ohio. Duguid's trunks were well-known and popular at the turn of the century, until he sold his business in 1915 to Theisen Trunk Company of Detroit. The trunk has a special hinge design(1884 patent) that allows it to rest flush against a wall, without striking and damaging the surface when the top is raised to access contents. It is in authentic, antique condition, approximately 125 years old. It is very sturdy, and with mimimal care will last another century. Some prefer original condition, others refinish these by removing the water-resistant canvas, sanding down the pine boards and ash slats, and hand-rubbing the wood with several applications of tung oil. This can raise the ... morevalue, for some buyers, to $700 or more(just see postings on Ebay) It has the original castors and hardware, it smells fine(no funk or mold) and would be fine in a living room or bedroom. The leather handles have not survived, but are available on Ebay for restorers.
