The Eastlake furniture style as envisioned by its namesake, Charles Lock Eastlake, came about in response to his dislike of the over-the-top Rococo and Renaissance Revival styles popular during the Victorian era. It is 38.5" long, 19" deep, ... moreand 33.5" tall. I am unsure of the age of the dresser. It is quite old, and most likely dates to the 19th or very early 20th Century. It is made of solid wood, and has a delicate inlay on the drawer fronts. The dresser has floral glass pulls on it that I am sure are not original to the dresser. They are very pretty, are larger in diameter, and are mostly in good condition but some of them have some chips, particularly towards the back where they are touching the wood. The dresser drawers used to have locks in them, but now only have holes in these areas. The dresser has dovetail joints that I believe are English dovetails.

It measures approx 22" tall including swivel mirror. 12 1/4" wide at feet, and 9" deep at feet and has 2 small drawers at top and l larger drawer at bottom. Mirror is in fine condition. The small drawers each measure approx 5 3/8" x 4" x 2 1/2" deep. The one on the right has a smaller pull than the others but it appears to have been put on at the same time. Bottom drawer measures approx 9 3/8" x 8" x 3 3/8" deep. Bottom drawer has original lock(no key) and is lined with a silver color paper which appears to be very old. A barrel shaped drawer tops three smaller drawers. All finely dovetailed. The wonderful pressed glass knobs are original and add a little sparkle when the light hits them. The lower drawers are designed to open only when the top drawer is opened. When the top drawer is locked the entire case is secured.I do have the very nice steel& brass key) The face of the drawers is veneered in flame mahogany. The sides and top are solid woods. The case sits atop four turned ball feet. This chest is in very good overall condition with light wear and an older refinish. There are two small chips in the veneer. A lovely 1800's small chest of drawers standing 17 inches tall. It is handmade and unsigned. It has all the original porcelain drawer pulls which are usually broken or missing some. It has age appropriate wear on the feet as shown in the photos. There are modern repairs on the hidden portions of the drawers. The nails holding the top are iron and square. There are some old doodles on the bottoms of two of the drawers. This terrific piece was made for sewing supplies perhaps, or spices, or other important items. Outstanding antique campaign chest of drawers constructed from pine and stained a deep. Slightly reddish brown. This piece, designed for easy transport during a military campaign, looks like it comes apart in two pieces. The chest has four graduated drawers, each with brass bail handle pulls and key surrounds. The faces of the drawers have been attached with fine dovetail joinery. The entire chest rests on bracket feet that are both solid and decorative. The wood has a wonderful aged patina and the finish has minor wear and some alligatoring, showing off the piece's age. This chest most likely dates from the 1800's.
