The table has one small drawer with dove tail joints and a bail pull handle over an oval backplate. The table has straight tapering legs, and a delicate veneer inlay that runs along the front and sides of the table apron, and down the legs with a matching inlay band towards the bottom of the legs. The table has beautiful grain, although I am unsure of the type of wood that it is made from. The table has drop laves on each side. It is 25" tall, 20.

The stand has machine turned legs, and towel bars at the sides that attach to a custom shaped trim work that runs across the back. This trim work is at most 5" above the top of the stand. The top of the stand is 28.5" tall, 33" tall at the top of the raised towel bars, is 28.5" long across the back from bar to bar, and 18.75" wide front to back, including the trim. The bottom shelf has a small area at the far right front where it looks like the wood may have been broken and repaired, or at least cracked. I am unsure of the type of wood that the stand is made from, but it looks like Cherry to me.

This is a very clean large oak trunk that has a variety of uses such as a blanket chest. Toy chest, or wonderful coffee table. It is made of solid oak with the original finish that has a nice patina and is finished on all sides including the back. The inside of the trunk has been painted red but can be stripped back to the natural oak. The trunk is 48" wide, 22" deep, and 24 1/2" tall. There is a piano hinge that opens the top. There is a lock but I do not have the key. The trunk was originally on rollers. One of the blocks under the trunk that holds the roller insert is damaged but is easily repairable if rollers are prefered. Email with any questions. It is one of the few trunk locks that will lock without using the key. This is accomplished by a spring loaded locking pin. However. Whats more unusual than that, is what can be called a safety latch. Inserting the hasp into the lock, locks the trunk, but you can use the key to turn the latch even more, which is a secondary locking position. This made it harder for thieves to pick the lock. Only the high grade trunks had real leather trim and edging, all solid brass hardware and silk lining. Constructed of wood with leather edge bindings. Heavy canvas covering, solid brass slat braces, brass lock, latches, and rivets, and thick leather side handles. The interior is linen lined and contains the special fitted compartments made for shirts, shoes, and various other garments as well as umbrella straps. The four bottom wood slats are present as well as the heavy duty rollers. The trunk bottom is in very good condition, with zinc covering and hardwood slats. The brass hardware is all present and has not been highly polished, to preserve the aged patina. It could be polished if desired. The leather trim, corners, and handles are intact with typical signs of wear. The leather has all been treated with professional leather treatment polish. It is hard to find ornate trunk handles of this style that are still intact. The trunk is a great size for use as a table if desired. Condition notes: This trunk is in very good used condition. But there are signs of age and use which are typical for a trunk of 100 years or more in age. There are some minor issues I want to describe. The top of the trunk has a couple splits or cracks in the canvas, which are not visible from all angles. The cracks are filled and glued and are not very large or very noticeable. This trunk was owned by Tony Orlando(see below) This steamer shipping trunk has a hinged domed lid painted with"Bremen and New York" in black letters. The trunk opens to reveal a small raised compartment on the interior left side. There are some cedar shavings that are still present in the trunk. The large storage piece has its original wrought iron handles and having brass pull and escutcheon to front. The Trunk measures 31"H x 45.75"W x 23.5"D. We put the date to early 1820's to mid 19th century. The Trunk's condition has overall surface wear& scratches. We have not yet waxed this piece and offer it in it's"as found" condition. It may have been made for an orthodox Jewish family that cooked it's meal on Friday for serving on Saturday at noonday, since the faith did not permit them to light a fire on the Sabbath. It's a nice size chest for using as a piece to set knick-knacks or a table lamp on in any room. I've personally owned it for over 20 yrs and like that it's not so big and clunky. ANTIQUE Leather Trunk-Orig Fabric Lining+Tray w SOLID Leather~Went Paris to NY
ANTIQUE I just returned from a weekend antique shop fest. We saw one like this in every way but the color of that one was very faded. They were asking $850.00 and at auction we saw one sold with NO interior finish or tray. No hardware and a funky odor( LOL) sell for $445.00 Gorgeous leather steamer trunk. This has clean working brass latches. 2 original leather straps on the ends and 1 handle. Exterior wooden strapping and leather bumpers on the corners. Remarkable beautiful original fabric lined interior with a lift out tray and fabric tie downs. What we assume is the maker tag is mostly worn away. But we show it in case you can ID it from the scrap remaining. There are a couple other applied tags. We can see this traveled Paris to NY via Fast French Line Steamers. Some other words are on this label but we cannot make them out. This label ... moreappears on the trunk in 2 other places, discrete and aged. There is another label with Cie Gle Transatlantic on it. Nothing to pinpoint year or ownership. The ends of the trunk have a lovely ink tattoo with a 3” A and P on them, my guess is that was the owners initials. This is 22”x38”x13” plus a hair on each increment to allow for the 3D texture of the brass hardware. The bolts are not flush to the leather. They are raised and domed. Inside has a beautiful wine+ blue colored Iris floral pattern. Tray is about 4” deep and lifts out completely. NO ODOR! No fade. I do note a bit of wear and slight tear on the underside of this tray. Nothing at all ugly or something you see unless the tray is turned over( pic 10) Tray sides have a handle on each end and 2 strap tie downs. Exterior condition is amazingly clean and solid. Nothing broken. Gouged or stained. Certainly some travel signs, but they add to the charm and again there is nothing ugly looking what so ever. We see 2 very mild leather splits, but they are still very firmly in place. This weighs about 30# before packing. This is a Lovely Original Antique Victorian Blanket Box. Dated Circa 1880. Offered at a Low Start ~ With No Reserve! Made of Solid Pine. With a Waxed finish. The Blanket Box is Free Standing. And can be viewed all round, perfect to use as a coffee table, or storage for those warming Eiderdowns, or even as a toy box ~ Perfect! This is one of the nicest Boxes I have ever restored. It has the Most Wonderful Brass and Copper Stud work, including a Romantic Heart to the lid, making me think this may have been a Marriage Chest. With the Original Lock. Keeper, and Hinges. To the Sides are Lovely Cast iron Swing handles, which are good and strong, one is slightly larger than the other. With Strap Work to the Edges. Inside is Lovely and Clean.
