This organ has been owned by one family for the last 10 years. They took very good care of it and played it regularly till age forced them to stop using it. It has set idle for the past few years. The tone generator has froze up, but it was completely out of oil. I oiled the organ using hammond oil and hopefully will start up before the auction ends, otherwise the organ will be sold as is. It is finished in Satin Cherry. It has Queen Anne legs and very ornate woodwork detail. The previous owner gave me the sales receipt and he paid $12,000.00 in 2000 for the instrument. The finish is in average condition. There are no real scrapes or bruises, but the sun has faded out some of the stain and you can see that in my photos. Depending on where you are going to place this piano, you may or may not ever be able to tell. When I looked at the piano in the sellers home, I did not notice the sun fading. Antique Wicker Sewing Stand Graceful Queen Anne Legs
This is a lovely antique wicker sewing stand. I think that the gracefully arching Queen Anne legs are especially beautiful. It has a bail handle. And four little metal foot covers on the feet. The stand is missing a few of the curly q's, like they usually are, and some breaks and small repairs in the wicker. There is a partial separation in the handle from age, it is still strong, not weak, but it looks to me like it started to separate over the years from age, it won't come apart, just want to mention. This belonged to my great aunt. And she kept a little basket with her sewing things in it. I think because it is so old, it would be good to keep something in the actual basket portion so things don't get caught in the wicker. Nice old piece, full of character. With the handle up. Thanks to the kindness of Susan Dossetter. Pictures and past life of this doll was published in an interesting article" Adventures of a Dollhouse Sleuth: Her Name had to be Mary" by Susan Dossetter( Doll News magazine, Volume 60 Number 4 Summer 2011) T he fascinating story of this doll's past inspired me to make a reproduction of Mary. My interpretation of this doll measures 19 inches tall. Hand carved from Linden wood. She has a one-piece carved wooden head and torso, jointed at the hips. Cloth upper arms. Flatt back and squared-off ... morehips. Painted features, antique hand blown glass eyes. Her cloth wig cap is nailed to her head, brown mohair wig. Gesso is covering the wood and she has a wonderful distress look to simulate antiquity. All of her clothing is removable. The fabrics are antique and also salvage from genuine clothing from the Victorian and Edwardian Era. Most of the material I used to dress Mary. Comes from the french market. Her antique wool stockings are color black(no clearly visible in the pics. She has been sealed to help protect from dust and fading. All my dolls are signed and dated. American Queen Anne Oak Chest of Drawers Circa 1720 Description: An early 18th century American Queen Anne oak chest of drawers. Circa 1720. The chest features an old(possibly original) finish with gorgeous patina, quarter round molding, and panelled sides. It has Queen Anne period brasses though it may have originally had William and Mary style drop pulls. The bracket feet are original. The carcass is cedar and pine. Drawers are white oak. We think this is probably from the mid-Atlantic states, possibly Virginia. It is 37 1/2" wide by 21" deep by 36 1/2" high. Condition: Very good overall. The biggest issue is replaced pulls and backplates on the bottom drawer. All locks are intact though the chest does not have a key. There is a small chunk of wood missing on the rail over the second drawer down. Probably from someone breaking ... moreinto a locked drawer. There are a couple of repairs to the drawer bottoms due to wood shrinkage. The back boards are all original. One of the top boards. Toward the back, has probably been replaced. I love the desk part and it is a wonderful piece to use for storage and office use. A great piece. Local pick up only unless you want to take it upon yourself to have it shipped. Size: 5"10" tall to the top of the the highboy(not counting the fancy design on the top) 6'6" High with the tallest piece. Antique Vintage Queen Anne Stain Glass Transom Window
We are offering for auction this vintage antique Queen Anne transom window. Until this week it was hanging in a closed church in Northwest Ohio.This church was built in the 1880's and we believe this to have been original to the church. The side of the window that faced the sanctuary of the church was left natural wood finish while the other side was painted blue.This window has never been outside. The outside dimensions of the window is 21 and 3/4 inches by 55 and 3/4 inches. There are 3 rows of 6 inch square pieces of glass. The panels of glass are all in good shape with no chips or cracks. Great old brass maritime oil lamp. At first I thought this to be a table gimble lamp but perhaps it could be a wall mount. The base is weighted and it pivots both at the outter ring and the lamp itself which would support the fact of it being a table lamp. Condition is very good. Burner reads Queen Anne No. 0. The lamp measures 17" in height. The lamp itself is 8 1/2" Lamp is very heavy weighing over 3 lbs. There are two loops on base, one on each side to mount lamp either to a table or wall. Description This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. It is done in the Queen Anne style with small panels of stained glass with wood mullions. The colors are purple. Gold, blue, green, and red. There is a larger stained glass leaded panel near the middle done in blue. Gold, purple and red with a jewel in the middle. The frame is sturdy but it looks like it was trimmed. It measures 32.5 inches wide by 32.25 tall. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. The glazing putty needs filled in in places. A couple of pieces of glass were replaced with close but not exact matches. Please see the pictures carefully. All secondary wood is solid pine. There is no plywood used anywhere on this piece. The casework and all drawers are hand dovetailed. Front(half-blind) and back(thru dovetails) The drawer bottoms are solid pine slip bottoms true to the era. The drawer fronts are solid walnut with highly figured walnut burl veneer fronts.
