HUGE! Walnut Victorian Furniture Pediment Fluted Beveled Cabinet Crest Bed Panel
Giant. Antique, architectural panel. Solid walnut construction and guaranteed an authentic, Victorian era piece. It has thick, bevelled trim along the bottom and raised bevelled panels far left and right. 2 vertical, fluted columns have contoured bases and round medallions at top. In the middle is a leafy carving with another raised, bevelled panel surrounding it. Above the beveled cornice trim is a dramatic sunrise decoration. This whopper measures 38 1/2 inches wide and just over 22 3/4 inches tall. The very top looks like it is missing something and the far right area has a darker patina. Gorgeous Antique Victorian Carved Walnut Architectural PEDIMENT Crest Crown
ANTIQUE CARVED PEDIMENT CREST Striking antique Victorian carved walnut dresser. Mirror or bed pediment crest measuring 28-1/2" long, about 16" tall and about 1-5/8" deep at the thickest point. Featuring simple carved and stylized graduated arms on each side edge, center is finished with two incised leaves around a tiered floral mount- an applied crown or crest completes the top. The peak is pierce carved with a charming heart design- crest is made of two pieces that are block mounted with an overlap creating an almost three-dimensional effect. Condition is very nice with no cracks. Discoloration, worm holes or damage- it may have a few tiny scuffs or rubs and some age related usage wear, but has been hanging on my bedroom wall over a large cheval mirror for years and other than cased dust, it is in wonderful shape! 39 3/8" salvaged BLACK WALNUT architectural pediment,high relief,4" deep carving
39.25" long 12" tall 4.25" deep OK. Folks, this is a once in a lifetime yummy yummy element. I imagine it was the top of something- a door opening perhaps? Someone has rigged a wire at the back for hanging- OK, that's an obvious option. In the 2nd picture, I flipped it around upside down. Imagine it as the underside of a shelf, shallow or as deep as you like. It could be in an entryway, hung high, deep enough for setting several hats and with a hook or 2 for hanging coats. Hang it lower with a mirror mounted over it and you have an entry table. VERY upscale hung high in a bath for freshly folded towels. In a kitchen with grand hunks of copper pans or pottery or a stack of coffeetable cookbooks. I'd keep it myself, but I can add no more in this downscaled little place. Lady Liberty 1790's SWEET Walnut Door Topper Pediment Belong to Thomas Johnson
I call her Lady Liberty and she has been in my personal collection for 20 years. Fresh out of high school I went to work for the parks and rec department of Frederick County. My job one day was to clean out the bank barn and take misc. items to the land fill. This wonderful door topper org to the manor house of Rose Hill Manor was one of many items I was instructed to dispose of. I was informed by a coworker the door topper was removed from the manor house in a previous renovation. Covered in a thick layer of grime and missing some pieces I still could not bring myself to dispose of her. I brought her home( with my supervisors permission) and gave her a good cleaning. Under the grime I found this beautiful walnut masterpiece. I found a master craftsman to repair her and bring her back to life. Which I must say he did a wonderful job. Some ... morepieces were recreated, repaired and he added a shelf board to make it practical use for me. Shelf board can be easily removed and may have to be removed for safe shipping. This door Topper was originally installed in the inside main double door way of the manor home of Rose Hill Manor of Frederick County. Rose Hill Manor was built in 1790 for Governor Thomas Johnson's retirement home. Johnson was the first governor of Maryland and an associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court. His retirement home was constructed of the finest woods and craftsmanship of time and it shows with the quality of this piece. Lady Liberty measures 61" wide x 17 1/2" tall x 5" thick. LARGE! 1860s Burl Walnut Furniture Pediment Eastlake Carved Window Valance Panel
This is a WHOPPER! Circa 1800s. Architectural header. Perfect as a window valance, especially over wood blinds. This is high Victorian quality at its best. It has side columns at each end with Eastlake inscribed triangles at the bottom, parallel vertical grooves above, then beveled cornice trim with arch on top. All along the bottom is bull nose trim with more Eastlake inscribed carving near each end. Further up is sawtooth trim of real burled walnut. Beveled cornice trim directly above that. Ornate spindles at each end with a large burled walnut panel in between. The burled walnut panel has a diamond medallion near the spindles and a small beveled, burled walnut medallion in the middle. Description This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia. PA Victorian Home. It is made of walnut and is currently painted. It was originally the crown molding to a built in armoire. It was made in three sections and is doweled together. The center piece has a small shelf in the middle. A nice shape and applied carvings in the middle and at the ends. The 2 side pieces have applied carvings at the far ends. It can be used as a single long crown or 2 separate pieces. It measures 108 inches wide together. 11.5 tall and 3.25 thick. Overall. It is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. There are a couple of chips to the end carvings. MINT CONDITION! Original. 19th century, header. Solid walnut with fantastic patina. Classic Eastlake inscribed carving to left and right. The middle has 2 carved leaves with a classic Eastlake flower medallion. The medallion is in a horn style and VERY 3 dimensional in person. Above is a arched multi-layed cornice. Completely freestanding with numerous mounting holes if being used as backsplash. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer one than this beauty. No cracks, repairs, or missing pieces!
