Great Aunt Euphania bought this in the market in Lima. Peru a f ew years ago and as with so many things she"had plans" for it. N ot surprisingly her plans changed and so this gradually worked it's way to the closet and has emerged for someone on ebay to enjoy. Looks antique but probably isn't very old. Appears hand carved but we are not certain. Not sure of the type of wood, weighs less than 12 oz so not to heavy to deal with. Measures about 1 8" across and 9" from top to bottom and is about half an inc h thick. Has a tiny chip on one piece that sticks out and another small s pot towards the top of the back. Naturally this is a rustic piece and would not be expected to be perfect. Com pared to what else we see on ebay it seems th at this would give you a lot of bang for your buck.
