Listed is a set of 2 beautiful. Circa 1903 antique wood porch baluster spindle railing pieces. We had the porch on our family home that was built in 1903 replaced and have 63 spindles available. I will be happy to make a private listing for more if desired and can provide more photos. The pieces are all the same height. The approx size of each is: 20.25" tall x 2" The paint is a chippy white. They could be used as a shabby decorative architectural piece as is or could be stripped and refinished.

Fabulous solid redwood balusters from old southern architecture. These are big. Robust and beautiful. Taller one is roughly 30" high, 28" around at the top, and 21" around the roundest part of the spindle. Slightly smaller but still large baluster is 22" high, 22" around the top, and 17" around the spindle. These measurements are approximate. Notice there is a slight slope on the tops. We cut one of them in half and you can see the gorgeous red coloration of the redwood underneath the paint and weathering. There are approximately 100 of each size. If you want to buy a smaller lot of them. Less than 100 of each size, let us know. Please write if you have any questions. Offers accepted. We will ship. But you have to pay for packing and shipping.

2 Antique "1892" Wood Handrail Bannisters From Old North Carolina Courthouse
Up for bid here. Two antique handrails. I got the two rails from a contactor that helped remodel the New Hanover County Courthouse, here in Wilmigton NC. back in the mid 80s. The original courthouse was built in 1892, and that is where I am told these are from. I have no idea what kind of wood these are made out of, Cherry? Walnut? but they are heavy. The big one is about 6'3" small about 3'9"long. Both are about 39" high. Thought about replacing the half pole on the big one, with the full one from the small one and making a really nice headboard. antique victorian or earlier baluster banister& spindles. salvage from an old house. not walnut not cherry. it is the color old cherry would be so it is probably poplar. Remnants of a recent remodel- likely from when the house was built in 1925. Overall good shape. But have faced the wrath of at least one do-it-yourselfer. Antique Baluster 12 Sawn Cutout Porch Hand Rail Balusters Gingerbread Victorian Primitive 12 Antique Balusters Sawn Porch Railing Gingerbread Victorian Handrail Baluster Pieces New England Estate Sale- Hartford CT area demolition salvage. Please see pictures as they are an important part of the description. Photos show two of the balusters but there are 24 in all- 12 offered in this sale. Due to damage to the rail itself. Some if the twelve balusters may have softness towards one of their ends due to how they were stored. The softness is only about 1" or so up from their ends so it can be cut off. Some of the bottoms have chunks of wood detached or missing where the grain lines separated. All have multiple layers of paint on them; creamy white underneath the latest coat of gray/green. The paint is peeling off in thick layers in some ... morearea and not at all in other areas. There is still a lot of use left in them otherwise I wouldn't be listing them. Great for a railing project, decorative railing, arts and crafts project, photography. The balusters have a nice distressed look to them. With diamond and triangle or half diamond cut outs. They measure about 17.75" tall, 5.5" across at the top and bottom, and the width is about 1.25" deep. EACH baluster weights about 1 lb 10 ounces. I have not cleaned these balusters but they are not very dirty. They were stored on a porch out of the rain and are in quite good shape for repurposing. As mentioned previously. 2 Oak Baluster Columns Carved Decorative Victorian Circa 1900 Antique Measurements: 21” x 4 1/16” x 1 5/16” Weight: 1.457 kg(3 lbs. 3.4 oz. These carved oak balusters are in excellent condition: no major cracks. Repairs or issues. They have been used and show a few chips. Bumps, rubs and indications of age and experience. These are both flat on one side and were mounted against a flat surface: they are not completely round. I have lightly washed these but have not sanded or extensively worked on them in any way. They have a small fraction of their original finish. Giving them a muted, shabby but chic color tone. Being oak, and in very nice shape, they would strip and refinish with a stain to tones from golden oak to as dark as you like. 19th Century Virginia Turned Walnut Newel Post Architectural Antique
Nice walnut turned newel post from a Virginia antebellum house. I purchased this post for a project but ended up not using it. It is 6" diameter at the base and 39.25" tall(not counting the 1" diameter piece in top center. The dark spots are from me using a wet rag to highlight the wood so that the photos show the walnut. The post has been painted a few times and needs to be stripped and finished. The post is also split. As some do, because they are turned from central part of the log. The split starts about 16" from the top, and gets deeper towards the bottom. At its deepest point, the split is 1.5" deep and.25" wide. It is a stable and old split and could be left alone. Good luck

The entire staircase has the original shellac(varnish) finish that has an absolutely beautiful patina. 4 Antique Balusters from Turn of the Century Home
Beautiful turned balusters from Turn of the Century home. 24" long with 2.5" width at each end. One end has a"V" which rested on the bottom rail. The length of the turned area is approximately 14 1/4" Very little wear but two have nail holes on one end. One has small area where wood chipped off on the square end. Still. Lovely balusters for your project and know that they came from old turn of the century house.

these are in tough shape they do have a few nails. they are 1.75" square at top and bottom. They were from the porch so they have weather. one the end is broke off. if a dimension is critical ask me to double check i can make a mistake i have made one so please ask. if you do not ask i have plus or minus inches 3.5" thanks for understanding. if you need ask a question and i will do my best to answer it. One Thick Large Antique Turned Wood Spindle Porch Baluster Vintage Old 3824-14
Up for your consideration are antique or vintage porch spindles or balusters. Each has decorative turnings. They are salvaged and will have nail holes. Nails, splits, cracks, and small chips, as well as a lite mustard color chippy old paint. They are in good salvaged condition. Shelving, Bench, Chair Legs, Etc. These pieces may even be re-turned. Re-configured, depending on your applications. These may have been from the outside of a Victorian house as ornamental baluster or structural support work. The wood is tough and beautiful. Much of the pieces have original nails on one end. LARGE Antique Porch Fretwork Gingerbread PINK C. 1880 Architectural Salvage This measures 2 feet by 42 inches. Is a very nice large piece in great condition considering it's age. I'm took many pictures to describe it's physical condition. Please take time to review the pictures as a fragile old piece of wood will need some repairs as there are some cracks(which is easily repairable)

Set of 3 salvaged flat porch baluster with a beautiful Heart design. They are salvaged pieces so there may be nails. Nail holes, Small splits and cracks, and possibly a soft spot.
