6 Antique Vintage Wood Victorian Baluster Porch Spindles. Architectural Salvage. Pretty clean. Several have cracks, splits but quite intact. Measure 21-1/2" long. Pretty clean, there is some hardened white paint in the knurled areas. Depending on use, may require end trimming to make all a consistent length.

Lot of 11 turned Victorian porch balusters! approximately 1 ⅝” square and 20 ⅝” tall Up for bid is a lot of 11 antique Victorian porch balusters/spindles. These balusters are of matching design. The unturned top section is 2⅞” long. While the unturned bottom end is 3¾” long. Each wooden baluster has old chipping white paint. Note that these are architectural salvage items from a house in Beaver. PA and are around 110 years old. Because of this. They have flaws, dings, etc. that give them character. The bottom about 1 inch is often damaged from the nail holes(a few nail fragments remain) With scattered wood loss in that area. The top ends have nail holes. But with less evident damage. In addition. A very few have small chunks of other wood missing. The visible parts of the balusters are typical– I distributed the balusters on the ground ... morerandomly– without looking for the‘best’ sides. I have also listed an additional set of 38 balusters/spindles that were salvaged from the same house. They are the same essential size as this lot. But the turned pattern is somewhat different. Up for auction is a lot of 46 porch spindles/ balusters. They all have a matching design. These were salvaged from an old home. These are in good shape considering the age. No large cracks or missing pieces noted. The overall length is 31-1/4. The side dimensions vary from 1-3/8 to 1-1/2" The unturned section is 8-1/2" at each end. Not sure if these are pine or cedar. This sale includes 4 wooden(stained) Victorian spindles. Balusters, railing pieces as well as a cut-off railing piece. The short piece is 18 1/8" x 1 3/4" square. The other pieces are cut at a slant on each end and measure 21 3/4" at the point and 21 1/2" on the slant side x 1 3/4" square. They are in good vintage condition with some nail holes from where they had been affixed to the rest of the porch. Some chips; it looks like these had been stained but some of that has been worn off. They are in vintage condition with some nail holes from where they had been affixed to the rest of the porch AND a few small chunks missing and a split in the wood at the 2 3/4" end. There is some paint loss as well. Although the pictures might appear to be duplicates, I believe I took pictures of all 4 sides so you could get a handle on their overall condition. Listed is a set of 2 beautiful. Circa 1903 antique wood porch baluster spindle railing pieces. We had the porch on our family home that was built in 1903 replaced and have 63 spindles available. I will be happy to make a private listing for more if desired and can provide more photos. The pieces are all the same height. The approx size of each is: 20.25" tall x 2" The paint is a chippy white. They could be used as a shabby decorative architectural piece as is or could be stripped and refinished.
