Up for auction is a wonderful chunky little section of antique railing. It measures 28" wide 25.5" tall and 6.5" thick. The balusters themselves are 3.5" by 3.5" at the ends and they are 19.5" tall if you are considering taking it apart. Antique walnut and pine stair part that have been carefully removed and stored. The handrail measures 2 1/8" tall and 4" wide. There are 38 long spindles[31" to 32" and 16 short spindles[ 27" to 28" all walnut. The walnut rail pc that connects to the bottom octagon post is 13' 3" and it is spliced towards the bottom end. The 2 balcony boards that have the walnut scrollwork on it are 8'8" and 47" by 10" wide and there is one half circle pc and one quarter circle pc[Both have the scrollwork on them] and the balcony rail pc is around 10' 3" not counting the"wings" on the rail. There are walnut caps to cover the ends of the treads and risers. There are no treads and risers included. The rise and run of the stair is 7 7/8" by 9 1/4" The baseboard that would ... morego below the paneled section is not pictured. But it would go with these parts. The condition is used and there are some splits and cracks here and there. There are some small missing pcs, but for the most part it is pretty complete. Antique Vintage Hard Wood Balusters Stair Staircase Spindles Lot of 26 This is a lot of 26 hardwood antique stair balusters removed from a building in PA. I am also listing two newel posts that were removed from the same staircase. You can see them in my other auctions. There are 3 balusters that have flat bottoms as opposed to the slanted ones that were going up the staircase. They measure 30 5/8' There are 13 balusters with the slanted bottoms(shown in the middle) They measure 30¼' There are 10 slanted bottom ones(shown on the right) that measure 26 3/4' The'turned area' on ALL of the spindles measures 18' The tops are 1 3/4" square. Two of the flat ones have a piece gone at the tops from being removed from the railing. I have taken a photo of that section to show the wood grain so that it could possible ... morebe identified. Antique Vintage Victorian Wood Architectural Porch Railing Balustrade Fence 114"
This auction is for one(1) antique vintage victorian wooden architectural porch spindled fence rail balustrade. It was removed from our 1896 Victorian home as part of a remodeling project. I have no idea in what year this particular porch balustrade was installed on the house. Meaning no way for me to know whether it was an original or a replacement somewhere down the line. I only know the year the house was built, and that the rails were here when we bought it. It is 114 inches long. The top and bottom rails that are held together by the balusters are 3.5" wide. There are 14 spindles that make up the balustrade, with 6 13/16" gaps between each one. The squared-off portions of each spindle are 1 3/8" x 1 3/8" Each spindle/baluster is 26.5" tall. Here is the perfect solution to your period-perfect home renovation or the repair of your existing balustrade or stairway! Use these 12 balusters. All measuring approximately 27" long, to replace broken or missing balusters or to create a new, antique-look stairway or balcony. These balusters have just been removed from a 1900 row house in Yonkers. NY. They appear to be solid hardwood- most probably oak- and are all painted white, but have some chips in the paint. This will require either a light sanding and repainting or complete stripping to bare wood and refinishing. Some still have finishing nails, indicating their age may not be as far back as 1910, but all appear to be at least 50 years old, but with the exception of the paint surface, in very good condition. 19th Century Virginia Turned Walnut Newel Post Architectural Antique
Nice walnut turned newel post from a Virginia antebellum house. I purchased this post for a project but ended up not using it. It is 6" diameter at the base and 39.25" tall(not counting the 1" diameter piece in top center. The dark spots are from me using a wet rag to highlight the wood so that the photos show the walnut. The post has been painted a few times and needs to be stripped and finished. The post is also split. As some do, because they are turned from central part of the log. The split starts about 16" from the top, and gets deeper towards the bottom. At its deepest point, the split is 1.5" deep and.25" wide. It is a stable and old split and could be left alone. Good luck

Lot of 46 Antique Architectural Salvage Spindle Balusters Stair Railing Pieces
We removed these from an old Victorian house that we demolished last summer. There are 46 pieces total. The 11 smallest ones are 27" long total. The bases are 5 1/2" long and 2" square. The 24 medium size ones are 31 1/2" long without the piece that goes inside the rail. The bases are 8 1/2" long and 2" square. The 9 longest ones are 32" long. The bases are 9 1/4" long and 2" square. There are 2 misc size pieces. They are on the smaller. I'm not sure what type of wood they are. This listing is for all three! Love these! These beautiful pieces were part of a porch railing on an antique gothic home. The are in good shape considering all the weather that they have survived. They would have fit between the top and bottom rail on the front porch. Typically these were not necessary for carrying any load of the house so they were ultimately added for their beauty. Please see the pictures for the condition issues. I think the wearing down of the paint through the years is a bonus: They are 21 inches in length and the width at the top and bottom is approx 5 1/2 inches. Each one weighs in at a pound. These would be lovely hung on a wall or standing up on a fireplace mantle. Loads of thoughts and would love to hear yours as well!
