Victorian black walnut newel baluster stair railing SET
An awesome BLACK walnut stair spindle set with HUGE newel post. Salvaged from a circa 1880 home near SHARON SPRINGS NY- this set has a great set of spindles- they measure 31" high x 1 7/8" square- there are approx. 45 spindles. There is ONE broken spindle- in two pieces- can be repaired! The railing is three sections- one is 77" long- this is the straight piece that ends into the Newel. The second piece is 76" long and has a turn in it for the top of the stairs. The third section is a 90 degree angled piece with sections that are 46& 47" long after the curve. This would have been for the hall area at the top of the stairs. The railings are 4.5" wide. SOLID! The newel post is 42" high- it is 6.75" diameter on the base& a 8" diameter measurement across the top. There is a 4.5" long piece ... morethat would have been below the floor! The entire stair tread system was cut out of the house. In order to transport it. It was cut at the turn part, it is in TWO sections. All spindles. Antique Complete Stair Railing and Trim- Circa 1870 Pine Eastlake Style. This is a great looking complete Eastlake style railing with all trim and an aged patina and varnish finish. This is an original stair railing that was removed from a late 19th century Victorian home in Quincy. IL. The face of the stair railing(to the right of the pictures) was enclosed as a wall for a duplex and all original Foyer pieces are present and were behind the wall. All of the Foyer trim and skirting is intact and present and was just enclosed with a wall. Therefore we have all of the stair face trim as well as the original posts that have not been altered and are present as original. Victorian Oak Stair 4 Newel Posts Railing Balusters Architectural Salvage
This lot salvaged from an 1880's Brownstone includes fou r newel posts. Three railings 114" 100" and 80" long. There are 30 thirty inch tall spindles/balusters(stair railings) and 13 twenty six inch tall spindles/blausters(landing railing) I have included a photo where I easily scratched off the paint to show the natural color and grain. Which appears to be oak. Part of the lot was for the stair railing, the rest for the landing railing. I will also send 2 or 3 other spindles which were broken. Lot of 46 Antique Architectural Salvage Spindle Balusters Stair Railing Pieces
We removed these from an old Victorian house that we demolished last summer. There are 46 pieces total. The 11 smallest ones are 27" long total. The bases are 5 1/2" long and 2" square. The 24 medium size ones are 31 1/2" long without the piece that goes inside the rail. The bases are 8 1/2" long and 2" square. The 9 longest ones are 32" long. The bases are 9 1/4" long and 2" square. There are 2 misc size pieces. They are on the smaller. I'm not sure what type of wood they are. The whole lot weighs 78.5 pounds so I will calculate the actual shipping cost when I get the zip code of the buyer. Local pick up is always welcome. 43 1/2 inch old railing with 10 spindles repurpose stair balusters

these are in nice shape they have a little weather but the wood in not punky they do have nails. top and bottom are from a stair case and the corner post is complete the extra piece gave extra support. this is a very nice bunch. These came out of a house that was built in 1920 and they were going to burn it down. if a dimension is critical ask me to double check i can make a mistake i have made one so please ask. if you do not ask i have plus or minus inches 3.5" thanks for understanding. if you need ask a question and i will do my best to answer it. 4 Antique Primitive Cherry Wood Stair Porch Railing Balusters Spindles 27" long
Offered are 4 antique porch railing spindles or balusters. They are about 27" long(3/4" of that being a dovetail) and the larger place is 1-3/8" wide. They are made of cherry wood and have previously been painted. The paint is mostly worn off. But there are many traces of the old white paint left. Cleaned one section and oiled it to show what refinished would look like, with more sanding it would be lighter in color.
