One good thing about these four cast iron gold painted ball and claw feet is that the whole thing is one piece of cast iron.no glass feet to worry about chipping. Etc. I'm sure you could paint these another color or revert them back to their original black iron color. One screw hole in each of these to keep attached to the leg of the furniture.no screws included.just the four leg ends. You could use these on any number of pieces of furniture to give it the antique look that many people love these days. these measures between 4 1/2 and 4 1/4" tall. the whole opening for the leg is about 1/2"

Bay Colony Antiques is pleased to offer you this super fine quality Nine Foot Long solid mahogany 19th Century Federal styled Banquet table. This wonderful formal dining table is constructed with two four leg double pedestal leg systems appointed with very high quality brass leg caps and pivoting caster wheels on each of its eight legs. It is 46" wide and 29 3/4" tall. It collapses to 64 1/4" long without its two 21 1/2" long leaves installed and becomes 108" long with them installed. Each of these huge leaves are supported by thick mahogany support beams the clip into frame of the table. The leaves actually rest on top of these supports and each side of the leaves have carved male and female ... moreslots the lock the leaves into place and prevent them from sliding out of place. The entire table has a carved edge including each side matched on the leaves. This table just received a dark Briwax application before the pictures were taken. It was given a good buffing and will receive several more before it is shipped. The table is in overall excellent structual condition. The tables' top is the original surface. There are a few small surface marks on its leaves but well within acceptable limits and not a big issue. No huge gouges or deep digs with stains. We are only trying to demonstrate this is over a 100 year old table with its original top surface. A comperable quality nine foot long formal solid mahogany dining table anything remotely close to this table's quality would cost you upwards to $10.000 or more new. Take a look at Stickley, Baker, Kittenger, Hendredon, etc. We are more than qualified(with years of experetise) to take this top down, re-stain and apply several new coats of sprayed and hand rubbed lacquer for an additional cost. Has 3 12" leaves(no aprons) finish is not matching. So need to use tablecloth with leaves. Table will open up even more, so if you had more leaves made, you could seat even more. Finish Is in pretty good shape, could use touchup refinish on top. Some cloud areas, one chip in veneer and one small area where finish is worn. Legs are in pretty good shape. Each section of two solid golden oak boards covered with a wonderful wax finish, the leaves lifting to flush on ruled joints. The leaves have original 18th century hand forged hinges, though we suspect at least one of the leaves is replaced(see notes below in condition) The frame is pinned tenon-mortise construction over intensely ring-turned legs, each stretched permanently by a box-form stretcher, from which the gating leg on either side swings freely on a through-dowel peg. The legs swing very easily and smoothly to support the leaves, each with the correlating scrape marks underneath. In wonderful preserved condition and with outstanding form. ... moreThis is just the piece to match any Colonial inspired decor, while having an overall petite proportion that is very desirable in a table of this nature. This is a wonderful find for the collector(though consideration will have to be given to the leaves) and designer alike- in overall outstanding condition for a work crafted over 250 years ago, this will be cherished in your home functionally and decoratively. Maple Primary woods, Pine frame Resting over tapered legs and pad feet Item# 120011IQO24 This is a uniquely diminutive and quite attractive Queen Anne drop leaf table. Crafted of solid Maple in the New England States during the mid-to-late 18th Century, probably 1750-1770. The shapely top opens over ruled joints for a clean and broad surface- excellent dimensions for use as a functional card table or breakfast table, folding up as a wonderful hall table or dining room server. In 18th century homes, it was important that dining and entertaining furniture could be used flexibly for multiple uses, both functionally as a useful piece when hosting company, but also aesthetically to enhance the beauty of a given room. This table, with it's wonderful dimensions and ... morefine lines, clearly would have been a desirable piece in most households of the period. Originally this table would have been painted. Evidence still in the corners and crevices of a white paint that may have been the original color. One leaf is a solid plank of solid maple, the top and one other leaf crafted of two pieces of broad maple, all hanging over entirely original hand forged iron hinges- several of the original screws are still preserved in these. The table rests over a primarily pine frame, one leg gating outward on each side to reveal the dovetailed construction of the frame, the legs joined to the gate with double pinned tenon-mortise joints and swinging on a thick and heavy knuckle joint. The legs are perfect turned works, each perfectly tapering into a tiny ankle before flowing into the soft padded foot. This is an outstanding find for the collector and decorator alike- in excellent structural condition. ~ Beautiful Antique Tiger Oak 5 Leg Dining Table w/1 Leaf ~ Up for your viewing is an awesome tiger oak dining table that I purchased from an estate auction about a year ago. I actually purchased two tables. One was round(which I already sold) and this one. They both had been stored in I believe an attic, for they were very dusty and dirty due to being stored for many years. This table appears to have quite a few layers of varnish or stain on it and when they stored it I believe they put a vinyl table cloth on it, the kind with the cotton or felt like lining and through the years of heat and the layers of varnish it has on it the lining somewhat stuck to the top of the table. When I went to clean it up the fuzzy stuff would not come off no matter what I did so we thought we would try a spot with some paint stripper and it come off. That is ... morewhy the spot is on the top. My intentions then was to strip it off and restain it but never had the time to do it and hated to see this beautiful table sit around and need the space so I am selling it as it is. As you can see on the spot that we stripped under all the varnish that was on it the grain is beautiful and on the leaf, it is the natural color. This table is on wheels except for the center one is missing. But I should have one somewhere around here that I will put on it if I do. Also there is a piece of wood that is off on one of the legs as shown in the pictures. Other than that it is very nice. Once it is restained or whatever one wants to go about finishing the top it will look awesome. The table measures 42" square x 30" tall without the leaf and 25-1/2" from the ground to the bottom of the table. The leaf is approx. 12" wide. I have provided several pictures to view. Please view them carefully and ask any questions prior to bidding or purchasing. I will be happy to answer them the best I can. This is a vintage. Early American, wooden sewing barrel. Standing 7" tall and 39" around the barrel, the piece is in good, used condition. There are scratches consistent with normal usage and the barrel's age. When the barrel is unscrewed from its three legs, it measures 7" tall with the lid closed, and 5.5" tall with it open. The top opening is 10 3/4" across. Inside there are 5, approx 1" tall dowels for spools of thread. The handle measures 24" long by 1" wide, and is affixed at each side by a wooden peg. Each leg measures about 18" long, and screws into hardware underneath the barrel. Very elegant and well build construction feels solid and sturdy and will support a lot of weight. Due to the cabriole leg design the table can fit in small areas because the diameter of the top is larger than the bottom which allows you to put an armchair very close ... moreto this table without creating crowdedness. The table is covered with a piece of green onyx and is pretty heavy. Item is in original unrestored condition and in very good shape considering the age. However as any antique item it shown some imperfections. Which just add a vintage charm and character and will not affect the value. The original gilding has some reticulated cracks. The wood has a few splits, some pieces of the ornate foliate design are missing. I appreciate this look and would not recommend to destroy such time marks with"restoration" The table is about 29 1/2" high and 24" in diameter at the widest point.
