I am by no means an expert on antique architectural items. I am just going off what I have research on Ebay. This antique pediment is in great shape. It appears to be made out of Oak. It has carved sunburst pattern. With carved detail and rounded knobs on radius. This is all could tell you about it, I don't know if it is French, Victorian or what? Circa. Architectural Salvage Eastlake Pediment Carved /Appliqued Oak Vintage Decorative
This is an Eastlake-style pediment and my best guess is that it's off a dresser or a mirror. It is carved and the arch is an applique. The oak has no stain or varnish left on it and is quite lovely in that it's survived to find a new use as a decorative wall hanging. It is 22" long. 7" high and a little more than an inch thick.

This is a superb and a very unusual 18thc gothic oak wood pediment with two carved horse heads. The attention to carved detail on this pediment is wonderful. To the top of pediment is a shell with a superb horse head carved to either side. A leaf sprouts from the mouth of each horse. Large graduated carved roundel to centre of pediment with turned spindle type carving below. Floral carving on winding stem further decorated. Measures 15.25" max height x 27.25" overall length. LARGE! Tiger Oak Victorian Furniture Pediment Eastlake Fretwork Cabinet Crest
Near perfect condition! Circa 1800s. Salvaged, Victorian header. 100% refinished gives it a perfect patina. Highest quality, 1/4 sawn oak construction. Sawtooth trim along the bottom with flame trim to the left and right. Deep layers of bevelling as you go up. Parallel horizontal grooves in the middle and same near the top. There are 4 vertical columns with fluting and domino carving on the fronts. Most dramatic of all, is the criss crossing fretwork that allows you to look straight through the piece. It measures about 7.5" tall. 42.5" long and 1.5" thick at the piece of wood that goes across the top. This is a beautiful salvage piece that has never been painted. It has ornate carved designs applied to it on each end and a wreath design in the center. This pediment has some of the most unusual characteristics I have ever seen. The header has a wonderfully carved serpentine top. There are very ornate side carvings, and then those round metal grommets all along the pediment. Looks almost Medieval or Gothic with that Victorian twist. Near MINT condition! Authentic. 19th century, furniture header. Solid oak construction. Nice carving at each end with 3 turned spindles closer to middle. Above each spindle is a cannonball finial. Even further toward the middle are double half spindles. The center has a diamond shaped, acanthus medallion with a dramatic, beveled arch above. 1800s Tiger Oak Pierced Fretwork Arch Frame Victorian Furnitire Pediment Carving
DRAMATIC. Curved architectural salvage. Very rare to find arched pediment versus the much more common straight ones. Guaranteed to be circa 1800s. Solid quarter sawn oak construction. Countoured beveled trim all along the top. Then, directly under, are 15 repeating spindles. Directly below that is more beveled trim. Under the trim is leafy carvings that are pierced to the left and right of center. In between is a drop finial hanging below vertical grooves. It measures 40 inches long, 14 1/4 inches tall at ends and 8 3/4 inches tall in middle. Great ornate, Victorian design.There is one slight crack at far left, but wonderful overall condition. Description This is a nice piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian home. It is made of oak and is currently painted. It was originally the crown to a built in armoire. There is a small shelf at the top that is trimmed in reel and bead molding. The breast has applied carved festoons with flowers. It measures 67.75 inches wide by 8.75 inches tall and is 3.25 inches deep. Overall it is in good co ndition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. There are a couple light cracks. The right side return molding is missing. There is some wood loss at the bottom. Please look at the pictures carefully.
