The ones I found are listed as"Quartersawn ... moreOak and(very rare) Curly Birch Bed Room Suites" This is the mirror off of the"pattern mirror dresser" and is"Mahoganized" according to their catalog which gives it the spectacular reddish brown color. The carving is very deep. High relief motifs of scrolls, feathers and plumes. This would have set on an ornate mirror frame that attaches to the dresser. The paper tag shown is off of the matching"Mirror Dresser" Which was sold with this bedstead as a set. I am certain they are a match as I also have the bedstead with the same motifs, and these ornaments are also carried through on the drawer pulls for this dresser. The sets that are similar to this one are on the first pages of the catalog, so I am assuming that these were the very best that the Cron Company would have to offer. They are also curly birch and are mahoganized. This mirror measures 32 inches wide by 29 inches tall. The L. C& W. L. Cron Company"Manufacturers of Bed Room Suites" was located in Piqua. Lovely Old Vintage Carved Solid Tiger Oak Wood Standing Pediment Piece or? I didn’t have a lot of time to shop this week because of visiting relatives. But I found some awesome pieces regardless, and I’ll be going to my favorite flea market this weekend, so I’ll have a boatload of items, fingers crossed, that will be new. I appreciate your business! This one has more questions than answers for me! Of course. What caught my attention about it right away, was the beautiful tiger graining of the oak- my favorite wood. Also, I'm calling it vintage, but I do think that it could be old enough to be antique, finally, what da-heck is it? I'm calling it a pediment, but did it used to be a part of a furniture, or architectural piece? I don't know, it will be for you to decide! Now, I want to point out that the oak base that it is attached ... moreto on the front I do not think is original. I think that was added later so that the piece can stand on its own- and it does, while on a flat surface- I had to take if off of my rug to show you(hence, the photo on my sidewalk) as the rug was too bumpy for it to stand independently. The wood is solid, not veneer, and you can see the quartersawn graining at the back too. The piece has simple hand carved details that have been painted(on the insides and borders) in a dark red. I see peeks of the red on the sides of the piece too, but it's quite worn in many spots on the side, so it's only in peeks- you see more of the wood underneath, there. I did notice that the insides of the two cutouts in the piece either were once all red, as I think the sides were, or they were left unfinished and you can see some of the border red on the cutouts- it's hard to tell for sure, and you have to be up looking inside the cutouts to notice- that's what I was trying to do for you in photo 13. The piece is in excellent solid and sturdy condition. The finish is a semi gloss varnish, and you can see spots of wear to that and the stain- very minor. I'm showing in photos 8& 9 tha

Near perfect condition! Circa 1800s. Salvaged, Victorian header. 100% refinished gives it a perfect patina. Highest quality, 1/4 sawn oak construction. Sawtooth trim along the bottom with flame trim to the left and right. Deep layers of bevelling as you go up. Parallel horizontal grooves in the middle and same near the top. There are 4 vertical columns with fluting and domino carving on the fronts. Most dramatic of all, is the criss crossing fretwork that allows you to look straight through the piece. Beautiful Antique Victorian Tiger Oak Pediment Very unique Tiger Oak Pediment. I call this my Sea Serpent Pediment since it reminds me of a deep sea creature. This pediment has some of the most unusual characteristics I have ever seen. The header has a wonderfully carved serpentine top. There are very ornate side carvings, and then those round metal grommets all along the pediment. Looks almost Medieval or Gothic with that Victorian twist. This pediment is a real show stopper and would look great over a door. Window or attached to any furniture. 1800s Tiger Oak Pierced Fretwork Arch Frame Victorian Furnitire Pediment Carving
DRAMATIC. Curved architectural salvage. Very rare to find arched pediment versus the much more common straight ones. Guaranteed to be circa 1800s. Solid quarter sawn oak construction. Countoured beveled trim all along the top. Then, directly under, are 15 repeating spindles. Directly below that is more beveled trim. Under the trim is leafy carvings that are pierced to the left and right of center. In between is a drop finial hanging below vertical grooves. It measures 40 inches long, 14 1/4 inches tall at ends and 8 3/4 inches tall in middle. Great ornate, Victorian design.There is one slight crack at far left, but wonderful overall condition. This listing is for an absolutely GORGEOUS long antique shelf. Oak is ALL tiger quartersawn wood. The entire shelf is oak and it's in wonderful condition with no damage. It came right off my own wall. It has sawtooth molding along front with no breakage or damage. It has two graceful brackets. Top is lovely and has a small oak edge strip to keep things from falling off. Measures 41" long and shelf top is 7" deep. Height is about 9" It would be ideal as a fireplace mantel because of the substantial length. Though I've used it to hold pottery and more substantial items. Grain is beautiful. I have always hung from two picture hangers wall. Has brackets on back which are new and strong. It's large but not so heavy that it is hard to manage.
