Antique mahogany wood carved pediment brackets- A Gorgeous Pair This is a great original old wood pair of wood pediment brackets- not sure what they were on. I purchased the pieces at an estate sale years ago. The pieces measures 17" tall by 8" wide across the bottom by 1-1/4 inch thick There are holes in the bottom for a wood peg attachment and holes in the"S" curve where something was once attached. I'm not sure what the wood is. But I think it may be mahogany. The condition is good. There are no breaks, cracks or repairs to the pieces. There are some scratches. Rubs and marks on the finish. GORGEOUS ANTIQUE OAK & WALNUT FURNITURE CARTOUCHE & PEDIMENT SHELF
Up for bid is a gorgeous antique solid walnut and oak cartouche and pediment shelf. Standing 11-1/2" high x 8-1/2" wide and having a profile of about 5-1/2" deep. This solid looking shelf makes a bold statement wherever you decide to hang and use it. It hangs by two brass hooks, fastened to the back, so that when something is set atop of it, it will not sway to one side of the other and the shelf will set firmly on the wall. The back has been hollowed out to reduce some of it's weight, though two properly positioned screws into anchors in the wall should allow a good amount of weight to be placed upon the shelf. The top of the shelf is a nicely crafted solid oak board with nicely cut edges along the front and sides. The cartouche itself is a gorgeous hand carved acanthus leaf with a drop down finial at the bottom supporting ... morethe shelf. Little to no original finish is left, so I believe a natural or dark finish is all that's needed to make this piece pop. Shipping and insurance will be $15.00, except to Hawaii, Alaska, and all international destinations, where I will ship to, however, costs tend to be a bit higher. OMG Gorgeous Antique Brass Architectural Salvage French Crested Shabby Pediment!
Wow! This is such a beautiful brass french style pediment! I was told it was salvaged from a late 1800's fireplace screen or cover? It has the lovely crest in the center that adds such an elegant french look! I've shown several ways it can be brought in to your decor. But you will have fun coming up with your own ideas! I think it would be amazing placed on the woodwork over the door, but we are currently selling our home so no new holes. The back side has two brackets that you can push/bend outward to allow a perfect fit over anything you wish to hang it from! That is how I have it on my cane planter. It will also hang from a nail. Gorgeous Antique Victorian Era Cast Iron Architectural Pediment Fretwork Piece Busybusybusy treasure hunting week for you. I shopped at a closing antique store. Went to the flea market, and still have some items from the weeks ago farm estate auction- there’s lots of neat stuff that you don‘t want to miss! Oh-So one of my favorites this week- it's a gorgeous Victorian era antique cast iron architectural piece- a pediment or piece of fretwork from a home. Or perhaps a garden gate, I am not sure, as I just have the one, and cannot put the rest of the"peices" back together to see. I'm thrilled for the piece that I have, though- it is just so pretty in shape and design, and it looks just as good whether it's up like I have in photo 1 or up like I have it in my 23rd photo. It has a very old(probably multiple layers) finish ... moreof black paint, and you can see it's chippy, shabby and worn in many spots- and in most of those spots down to the iron underneath- and you can see a layer of dark surface rust where the metal is exposed. The rust spots are very old, surface only with no thick spots holes, etc. This piece is totally structurally sound and weighs a whopping 6 3/4 lbs. I'm showing you both front and back(if there is a difference, it seems the same on both sides to me as far as design) as well as both sides and top and bottom in my photos. On one short end and its sides(don't know if it's top or bottom- it's the top in most of my photos except 23) you can see where it looks like it was connected to a larger piece- see photos 11 and 16-17 for the side view of where it looks like it was separated, and photos 18-19 of that top where it looks like it was connected and separated. I cannot tell if it was cut or broken from its larger piece, as rough, not flat, but there's no jagged or sharp edges- see my photos. Photos 20& 21 show the other short end, where it's painted and I can see cast lines, so this end was not attached to anything back in the day. The piece measures

These are a pair of old wood corbels that were in my fathers workshop when we were clearing out the house before its sale. He loved to save everything and always hoped to reuse things. I have no idea what they were for. But the painting is BEAUTIFUL and looks to be hand painted. They are in beautiful condition. PLEASE look at all of the photos. Antique 1800's- Gorgeous Victorian Roman Architectual Gothic Wood Pediment- Measurements are- 18" High x 11"1/2 Wide x Up to 3"1/2 Thick- Some pics with camera flash some without- This pediment has been one of my all time favorites.ive never some across another one like it.ive seen the same wooden womans face before but never on a piece like this and never so big,usually the womans face is much smaller, it is exceptionaly carved in my opinion,the waves at bottom are just so great looking. structually is in excellent condition, has no real or bad cracks, no rotten wood, discoloration, sun damage, or fading- or anything like that,has a very small chip at the tippy top and one on the side, both even though they are there you really dont notice them at all when ya have it hanging up.they are also Just surface and easily fixable ... morewith some wood putty if wanted.Weighs Just over a whopping 4 pounds, it is nice and thick. you will also notice it has a little wall hanger on back for easy hanging or can be removed if you are wanting to mount this onto something. top to bottom this is a really gorgeous piece. I will insure this pediment and pack it very well- there may also be some change left over from shipping as this quote is just a guess but if it costs more i will cover the difference- This is a paypal only auction and payment is due within 3 days of auction end.

Gorgeous Ornate Antique Brass or Bronze Pediment Fancy Lady WOW! 147 Mark Ooooh. Got very lucky this week at one of my favorite flea markets. I have just about everything, from the very old and primitive to the very unique with some fabulous folk art thrown in too! I’ll be listing all week, so keep checking back! This one is a showpiece for sure. A real WOW. If I ever saw one- it stopped me in my tracks. What I have is an antique pediment of some sort- a decorative piece that I don't know if it was an architectural piece(like some type of baluster) or a furniture piece, so I have listed it under both. At first, I thought it was bronze, but it has more of a brass patina to me, so I believe that it's brass(it's one or the other for sure- please supersize and see what you think) It's also very old- my best estimate is at least ... moreturn of the last century, if not before. As you can see from my photos, the gorgeous image is of a woman with her arms raised, fingers clasped together. Very regal, as you can see the folds of her dress draping down fancily toward the center of the piece. The decoration continues down, with fancy almost flower like designs- see photo 5. I have no idea who the maker is, but it's marked on the backside with the number 147 in the metal. Now, at first, I though, Oh, is it some type of hook or handle? but then I saw that not only did it mount from the body(see photo 20, directly behind the head) but it also mounted at the base- see photo 19. In photo 20, you can see threads on the inside of the two holes from where a screw used to fit. I'm going to guess that they are on the inside of the two holes in photo 19, it's just that whoever removed the piece, it appears, cut the screws rather than unscrewing them- you can see the nubs of them sticking out at the base. The base of the screws are in there, not the head- the head would have been attached to whatever this piece was. I don't know if or how you'd be able to get them out if you wanted them gone, but I will tel

ANTIQUE CARVED PEDIMENT CREST Striking antique Victorian carved walnut dresser. Mirror or bed pediment crest measuring 28-1/2" long, about 16" tall and about 1-5/8" deep at the thickest point. Featuring simple carved and stylized graduated arms on each side edge, center is finished with two incised leaves around a tiered floral mount- an applied crown or crest completes the top. The peak is pierce carved with a charming heart design- crest is made of two pieces that are block mounted with an overlap creating an almost three-dimensional effect. Condition is very nice with no cracks. Discoloration, worm holes or damage- it may have a few tiny scuffs or rubs and some age related usage wear, but has been hanging on my bedroom wall over a large cheval mirror for years and other than cased dust, it is in wonderful shape! GORGEOUS ANTIQUE LARGE SOLID WALNUT HAND CARVED FURNITURE PEDIMENT
Up for bid is a very large. Solid walnut, antique furniture pediment. Believed to be from the mid to late 19th century this beautifully hand carved pediment could be just the piece you've been looking for to compliment that project waiting in your shop. The pediment stands 25" high x just under 59" in length x 4-1/4" deep. There are a few minor chips, scuff areas or missing carving near the top, shown in the pictures as a lighter wood, probably a part that was recent damage, prior to my purchase. The lower portion as I show in the 11th picture, on the rear of the pediment, also has some minor damage, but it is on the back edge and less noticeable. The panels, with incised carved that flank the center carving, maybe a burled walnut veneer, so with a little light elbow grease, perhaps this piece after some clean up, could ... moreshow those panels off a little better. If you are looking for a large 19th century solid walnut furniture pediment to crown a piece of furniture, whether, antique or something you've created new and need just the perfect piece, not only do you want to look no further, but you also don't want to miss out bidding on this gem.
