Great Aunt Euphania bought this in the market in Lima. Peru a f ew years ago and as with so many things she"had plans" for it. N ot surprisingly her plans changed and so this gradually worked it's way to the closet and has emerged for someone on ebay to enjoy. Looks antique but probably isn't very old. Appears hand carved but we are not certain. Not sure of the type of wood, weighs less than 12 oz so not to heavy to deal with. Measures about 1 8" across and 9" from top to bottom and is about half an inc h thick. Has a tiny chip on one piece that sticks out and another small s pot towards the top of the back. Naturally this is a rustic piece and would not be expected to be perfect. Com pared to what else we see on ebay it seems th at this would give you a lot of bang for your buck. You get a nice looking piece without the hefty price tag. Buyer pays shipping. Payment due within 3 days of sale end. No shipping outside of the US or Canada, no buy- it-now price. Authentic. Circa 1800s, architectural piece. Either walnut or mahogany wood. Near perfect condition and patina. You get both an ornate pediment AND see through fretwork all in one piece! There are 4 round button medallions near each end. In the middle are numerous leaves with berries hanging below. Above that is a wonderful arrowhead crest. This beauty measures almost 20 inches long and 8 3/8 inches tall in the middle. You will not find a stronger designed, architectural antique listed. Many other salvaged Victorian parts listed. This is crest has the late 19th century Aesthetic Movement look. It has the shell arch with small volutes. It has finely detailed shaped molding. It has a sweet button medallion onlay. It would make a fabulous overdoor decoration. It is 33.75" x 10.75" x 1.5" This item came from a furniture and design company that went out of business in the 1990's. Up for auction is a wonderfully carved victorian walnut crest. There is some wear and small chips but the worst is the curl on the left end is missing(see last picture) The crest is about 9" long and 3 1/2" tall. The piece is about 2" wide. The pegs are 4 1/8" on center. The portion where the pegs are is indented 1 7/16" The crest is being sold as found. This week we have this gorgeous Antique/Vintage wall or Window panel. This piece is intricatly hand carved in a leaf and honeycomb motif. It is also hand painted. I am not sure what this originaly was from but there are three pieces of metal(brass. I believe) hardware fittings on the back three corners of the piece. I do not think it was a door but it could have been a fixed piece some how. It is a very heavy piece made out of solid hardwood. I think it may be teak or walnut. It is in excellent condition and measures 22" x 31" and is 3/4" thick. This is a WHOPPER! Circa 1800s. Architectural header. Perfect as a window valance, especially over wood blinds. This is high Victorian quality at its best. It has side columns at each end with Eastlake inscribed triangles at the bottom, parallel vertical grooves above, then beveled cornice trim with arch on top. All along the bottom is bull nose trim with more Eastlake inscribed carving near each end. Further up is sawtooth trim of real burled walnut. Beveled cornice trim directly above that. Ornate spindles at each end with a large burled walnut panel in between. The burled walnut panel has a diamond medallion near the spindles and a small beveled, burled walnut medallion in the middle. Near MINT condition! Authentic. 19th century, furniture header. Solid oak construction. Nice carving at each end with 3 turned spindles closer to middle. Above each spindle is a cannonball finial. Even further toward the middle are double half spindles. The center has a diamond shaped, acanthus medallion with a dramatic, beveled arch above. These are salvage crest pieces.I found them as shown. They do have drill holes at the base and I'm not sure what that was for. These are shown in the photos. Description This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia. PA Victorian Home. It is made of oak and is currently painted. It was originally the crown to a built in armoire. This was the crown molding and a small shelf along the top. The breast has applied carvings in the middle and at the side. It measures 99 inches wide by 13 inches tall. It is 3.25 inches thick. Overall. It is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. There are notches along the bottom from the legs of the armoire. The front had once been painted a blush ivory with gold accents. Measures a large 37.75" wide x 18" tall. It does have a metal piece on the back for easy hanging. Stunning piece, timeworn with chippy paint, mostly around the edges. It is missing the bottom left swirly piece, and there are some crack lines through it from age, but nothing broken off except the bottom left swirl.
