This is a really nice old unusual wrought iron butchers or game hook measuring 2.8 inches top to bottom and 6 inches across the hook points.It probably dates to the early 1900s and is in pretty decent condition with wear commensurate with age and use. It would probably have sat over a wooden beam.The gap for this is 2.25 inches.This nice old iron butchers or game hook would grace any collection or sit very well in any period or contemporary setting. Vintage Solid Brass, 5 Hook, Wall Coat Rack with Steer Heads at each end!
This is a handsome. Vintage western, solid brass 5 hook coat rack! Very detailed hooks and extremely cool steer heads on both ends. It is 38 1/2 inches wide and each hook is 6 inches long with 4 mounting holes on each end. This coat rack was recovered from a building that had burnt down but. With some effort, was cleaned up to perfection as shown in the pictures. This would be a nice conversation piece anywhere you hang your hat!

This is a beautiful collection old antique curtain rods that can double purpose as sign holders if you like. My 101 year old grandmother just past and these were found in here attic. I am not sure of the age but they appear to be in nice condition with a very nice patina. Each unit comes with 6-7 rings on them. They are 4 brackets and 11 larger rings that you can see in the photos. The first thing to get familiar with are commonly used joining pins: Soft Joining Pins, Hard Joining Pins, Nailing Pins, Made of bendable metal tongs that can be bent and hooked into the opposite side of the wood. Normally used for pulls. Handles, and other items where lateral pulling strength is required. Made of thick metal tongs that can be bent but not hooked ... morearound the opposite side of the wood. Normally used for bolts and hooks where vertical strength is required. Made of one long. Straight metal spear that is nailed into the wood. Like hard joining pins, they are used for bolts and hooks where vertical strength is required. You'll need a few basic tools: Needle nose pliers(recommended- but any type of pliers will do. Hammer, Drill bit(same width as the pin you're going to install) Power drill, Installation of Soft Joining Pins For this example. We've chosen a classic fish pull to install. Drill a hole the same width as the pin. In this example we're drilling a 1/4" hole for a 1/4" wide pin. Assemble your piece of hardware and insert in the hole. Using the needle nose pliers. Bend the tip of the pin over so that it's pointing towards the wood. Making sure that the display side of the piece is pulled tight. Nail the end of the pin into the wood. Nail the pin flat. And the 4 hooks measure 10" 8" 5-1/2" 4" from top to bottom respectively. Each hook turns 180 degrees, and each has 3 pinholes in the back to hold each hook in a different place. This piece weighs just over 4-1/4 pounds. This item does have paint loss and very minimal surface oxidation, particularly on the back where it is attached to the wall.
