Please use the Supersize Feature on our pictures at the top and below the description as we consider them to be a very important part of our auctions- our photos show great detail and they are about the next best thing to"being there" This is a group of 7 small antique coat hooks that appear to be hand forged. Six of these hooks are the same and the hook that has old paint on it is just a bit smaller. Six of these hooks are in very good condition with no cracks. Breaks, or worn areas in the metal and there are no repairs, but one of the larger black hooks has a flaw in the cast iron(sort of a dent) near the end of the hook which you can see in the pictures. The bigger hooks were all painted black at some point so they do show signs of natural wear and use with most of the paint missing. The bigger hooks have a reach of 2” long. ... moreAnd the mounting base is 1” x 3/4” with a little pointed stability spike on the back side. And all nails can be categorized into bifurcated rivets(A) and simple pins(B) Bifurcated rivets usually are used for pulls and handles where strength is required, simple pins are used for edging, decoration or as accessorial reinforce of bifurcated rivets. When we use bifurcated rivets. We need a needle nose plier, a hammer, a power drill and the suited drill bit. When we use simple pins, we only need a hammer.
