Hello there. Up for auction I have a vintage Victorian cast iron swivel wall hanger. The hanger measures 15" from top to bottom. And the 4 hooks measure 10" 8" 5-1/2" 4" from top to bottom respectively. Each hook turns 180 degrees, and each has 3 pinholes in the back to hold each hook in a different place. This piece weighs just over 4-1/4 pounds. This item does have paint loss and very minimal surface oxidation, particularly on the back where it is attached to the wall. Up for auction is this fabulous antique Victorian/Eastlake cast iron. Ornately detailed, plant hanger hook. This is a heavy solid piece- beautifully made. The metal is completely sound, no cracks, breaks or repairs. It was designed to pivot or swivel, doesn't move much now, could use an oiling- WD? It is decorated with beautiful cut-out designs and embossed Eastlake stylized detailing on all sides. It connects to the large cast iron wall bracket with a rod topped off with an acorn finial. Each hook is made of solid, cast iron. One hook has 2 arms, and the other only has one. Each hook has one porcelain knob. Notice the lovely rosette sitting atop each knob-what a great accent! The body of the hooks are beautifully embellished with flowers and leaves. At the point of salvage. The hooks were dirty and heavily painted(see last photo) Much work went into removing the paint, cleaning and polishing each hook. The hook with only one arm originally had 2. But one broke off. It would make an interesting key holder, or ring holder, it would look great in the garden as a hanger.
