Art Deco Metal Curtain Tie Backs / Hold Curtains Back - Vintage
This is a great set of large Drapery tie backs. Art Deco in style. Each one has all the same pieces and all appear ready for mounting. You will only need screws There are 6 in total. You can use two at a window or can have one at a window. They are Really Long so they are going to hold back tons of material. Made out of cast Aluminum. There is nothing broken or repaired. The one shows a white area near the decorative spot. This is wear some of the paint needs cleaned and touched up. The pictures make it look much bigger and worse then it is. There is tiny spots of paint missing randomly on all of them. Three are 18 in Long and do not extend any further Three are 18 in Long and will extend to 25 in Long. However I was only able to get one to pull out that far. The other two are to tight for me to pull out and perhaps someone with some strength ... morein there fingers could get them moving. They are not damaged just snug. At Widest they are all about 2-1/4 in Each has its own decorative mounting bracket. So all you need is the screw the bracket into the wall were you like it. Each bracket takes two screws. They bracket holes are 2-5/8 in on center apart. Quality made! Once you have the brackets were you want them. The rods each have a heavy square piece that slides into the round circle on the bracket. This holds the Rods in position. and you are ready to place the curtains. Simple! These are nice pieces seen all over France for holding back wooden shutters I believe that the figure is Marie Antoinette. But to be honest it is difficult to make out. 6 ANTIQUE CAST IRON Metal Extending Curtain Rods w/ Tie Backs ~Grape/Leaf Motif
Well I hope someone knows more than I know. I will tell you what I think I have. I have 6 single curtain rods. So maybe 6 windows? There is 3 for the left side and 3 for the right side of window. Each one I believe is cast iron design with the rest being metal. There is only five tie backs. One of the left side window curtain rod is broke. All pieces are there it needs to be repaired. I took pictures of it. Each one measures 18.5" to 27" long total. They have grape and leaf motif on them. These curtains rods need a good cleaning and a repaint if you want. Some of them are rusty on the rods. They are still very nice and would look great in a Victorian home. Buying all pieces in this lot. I am including the broken one for someone to fix. Sold as is. There are darling little daisy-like flowers at the end of each swag which are the same cream color as the feathers with highlights of the dark fuchsia. These are beautiful antique curtain decorations. They were in the storage area of the Chicago 1920s two flat my husband bought in the 1970s. He was only second owner! They were used early on to decorate some window treatments. They look so cool now. I can only imagine how they looked all those years ago. Bronze colored metal leaves. rusty but not ruined. Description These are really great tie backs. This is for 2 tie backs. Either gold or brass plated metal. Not sure how old they are. They are numbered on the back. Some of the backs are a lighter in color than the other. But the fronts are all the same. 3 1/2" diameter. They would sit 4" off the wall. The stem unscrews from the front decor piece. The stem without the screw part is 3 1/2" long. There is a 1 3/4" plate on the end for installation. There is a screw on the end that holds the plate onto the stem. I would use them just as they are.
