These are a pair of antique corbels. They have old yellow paint. I love the design of a flower on the sides, I measured the corbels as they look in the picture, 13 1/2" high, 4 3/4 across front and 8" deep, the wood is not in the greatest shape with some of the wood missing and loose in one picture you can see the wood is loose and needs to be nailed. Very nice brackets. 1-1/4 wide not including raised areas. 22-18 tall and 8 deep at bigger end 4-1/2 at smaller but it grows to about 5-3/4 if you include the radius that juts out at small end. Great for your next project. Finish isn't perfect but most is present and with a little work these will come up nicely without having to loose its original color. Pair Large Antique Heavy Plaster Corbels Wall Shelf 19th c 17"x14"x14" Good vintage condition. They have been painted over. There are a couple areas that have minor damage such as a cracked corner. A chipped front edge and a hole in the deep recess of one of the leaves. All of which can easily be repaired if so desired. Both corbels are marked with a large"14" on top which is likely a size mark being that they are 17" wide x 14" tall x 14" deep. One corbel is marked"J" on top with"SJ" inside. The other is marked"A" on top with"SA" inside. These corbels were purchased 12 years ago from an antiques house in Ireland. I believe they are from ireland or England. Due to the size and weight of these items. we will only ship to the lower 48 US states. Sorry. No PO boxes.

This auction is for a pair of corbels. These corbels came off our Victorian style home about 5 years ago during a renovation. I had fully intended to put these back on our home but due to sickness was never able to do so. The home was built late 1880's- early 1890's. Corbels are weathered and may have chipped paint. Cracks here and there, some areas may be missing a little wood and a number of them have old termite damage on the end. The corbels measure 18-3/4” Long by 12” High by 4-1/8” wide. Size is approx. as the corbels are hand crafted and all are unique. I have taken pictures of a single corbel. A pair, and several pictures of them in a stack. Great pair of Victorian black forest walnut wooden carved corbels with swirl and leaf design. As found. As you can see in the photos, there are some chips and missing pieces of carving. Selling this pair with no reserve, can easily be restored or used like this. 2 3/4 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches tall. 2 1/2 inches deep at top. These are so old that the glue is so dried that pieces sometimes just fall off randomly. I will wrap these very well. Andreas ~ Auctions Welcome* For your consideration is this pair of ornate. And beautifully hand carved wood brackets/corbels. They measure approximately 21" in length, 3" wide at the top and 9" deep. There are some areas of loss to the carving to each side of one bracket as shown in the photos. If you review the photos you can see that there is an unfinished edge to one side of each bracket. This might be where they were cut to remove them from the home. After removal they were used as a wall shelf with a long piece of glass on top of the brackets. The top of the brackets is covered with velvet fabric. Recently purchased from a local estate the owner said that they were from the Singer mansion in Pittsburgh. PA. I can not prove or disprove this statement. I have tried to do some research on the mansion and here is what I could ... morefind: John F. Singer was a partner with Alexander Nimick in Singer-Nimick& Co. Iron manufacturers. The house was completed in 1869 at a reported cost of $65,000. Originally part of a large country estate in the small village of Wilkinsburg(now included within the Pittsburgh city limits) the house and chapel stand alone at the center of a residential area bordering on an urban commercial district. Occupied by the Singer family until the early 1880's. The house stood vacant for a time before being used as a bachelors' club, known as Dixon Manor. In the 1920s it was purchased and split into a two family apartment. The house. Completed in 1869, was known as'the most pretentious and elegantly appointed as well as exquisitely furnished individual dwelling within the borough limits. Workmen were brought from England to do the wood and marble work. Special marble- a different color for each room- was imported from various countries. They are a nice hard to find large size that are about 3 feet tall each with fabulous detailing in a very nice design. They have the original old paint that is pink with pink showing thru that are chippy. Peely and with paint loss for a perfect patina. There is some bare wood showing, especially on the back of one of them, as I show. There is some dirt and minor old cracks, but they are ... moresolid. I looks like at one time, someone cut out a few little pieces to make repairs to where there was missing wood, as I show, and did a very good job at it. One is a tiny bit shorter, due to a piece of wood trim missing on the back, which also makes that one not stand perfectly from that end at the bottom. There are also a few little areas where the pink was touched up. There are so many possibilities on how to display this, and no matter what you decide, it will look incredible! Pair of Antique Vtg wood Architectural salvage Victorian door trim Corbel Corbels. Fireplace mantel. These are in very good refurbished. Stripped condition. Ready for primer and paint. May need light sanding in ereas. Someone has spent many hours with professional tools removing the layers of paint from these. You can still see some of the old paint in a few ereas. Cracks where the wood was glued together. Measures approx. 24 5/8" long x 5 1/2" wide x 3 1/2" deep at the deepest point. Sold as is as found with no warranty's.

They have chippy off white paint with remnants of red here and there. Your bid buys the pair. Each measures 28 inches wide by 28 inches tall and is 3.75 inch deep. Overall it is in good co ndition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. There are a few nail holes. Please look at the pictures carefully.
