Up for auction is what I believe to be a Burke cast aluminum table base- 28" tall. Top part of base is 18" across and the very bottom of the base is 24" across. They are no signatures or maker's marks. This would be stunning with a circular stone top or wood top. All you need is a top! Will it be wood. Marble, granite? I don't know that this is an original Knoll- hence'style' in the description. Most Knoll's I've seen are round at the top and not square. It will still make a great impression once you have your top atop it. It is 18.5 inches tall, and the base is 12 inches in diameter. In overall good condition for its age.I get the impression that it was spray painted at some point by looking underneath it.both that area and the top square part have a little rusting. The rusting is not something which will be seen once you have your new top on. I will ship this the most economical way possible- that is to say that the shipping fee in the listing will probably be less than what I have entered. If it is, then I will reimburse you. Saarinen Knoll Tulip Table Coffee Cocktail Mid Century Modern Vintage Eero Low
Authentic Eero Saarinen for Knoll Tulip Coffee/Cocktail table. 3ft in diameter, 15" tall. Purchased at a high end estate with the Safari chair I have listed and a Ed Wormely dining set for Dunbar and Le Corbusier LC1 Pony Hide Sling chair that I still have yet to list. This was bought overseas, and like most items from Europe, it is not signed: no label. But, it is Knoll; the weight and concrete like fill in, in the bottom, are signs of authenticity. It weighs over 36 Lbs. It has, as you can see, yellowing from the years, on the upper part of the stem, as well as yellowing underneath, along with slight cracking/crazing on the surface and fingerprints, shown in pics 7& 8. The base is 16 3/4" in diameter. This will ship freight or Greyhound Express. The cost for freight will probably be cheaper and safer than having it packed ... moreprofessionally and shipped GE. I have used shippers such as Plycon and TSC and 7 day shipment auction to get the best cost for my buyers. Feel free to ask me for an approximate shipping quote. I think this could get up the East Coast for $100 or so. Out west. Maybe slightly higher. 1940's Tole Tulip Bunch table - wheat sheaf eames regency
A favorite of interior decorator's this little Italian end/ cocktail table is gorgeous. Dating from the 1940's and marked made in Italy this table is roughly 17" tall an 22" in diameter. The glass top is clean and nearly scratch free and the base has amazing color with an even distress over the whole piece. Most often these toleware tables are sheafs of wheat and sometimes lillies. But this is the first Tulip table I have seen. A must see/must have for the end of the sofa that needs a little sprucing up, that corner of the room that needs a piece of art-furniture, as a decorative touch to your bedroom, or right in front of the sofa this table is perfect. Burke Tulip table, 60" wide and 6 Burke 116 chairs, the "Star Trek" furniture
Up for auction is a Burke Tulip table. 60" diameter, 29" tall; and 6 Burke 116 swivel armchairs all in excellent working order. This is the copy of the Knoll Saarinen table made famous a few years before. These were all purchased together new in 1966, and is being offered by the original owners. These were made famous on the TV show"Star Trek" when they used the original chairs and tables, and modifed many of them to make them look even more futuristic. The table top is a laminate of some kind, and does not seem to absorb any stains. Everything has been spilled on it over the years but it doesn't seem to stick. The 6 armchairs each comes with a seat pad. 3 of the pads are of finest naugahyde, a light brown to golden color, and others a woven material in burnt orange. Each type is visible on one of the pictures. The ... morecondition of the cushions and pads are different. 2 of the naugahyde covers are splitting along the seam and the padding is showing, one appears to be in very good condition. 3 are cloth and in very good condition. The cushions all have tags that show they were made by"Burke" or"Burke a division of Brunswick" on the label. The 6 chairs fit around the table and allow full movement. The swivel mechanism functions fine in each chair. And they return to center when turned and released. They have never been professionally cleaned and we do not want to do anything that might take away from their original condition. The chairs are fiberglass and remarkably clean. The finish on the table is not glossy. But not a matte finish either. There are no visible dings or scars, but there is one spot visible on the table side as it curves under toward the base that may clean off, and this will be tried with a sponge. The pedestal has dirt on it, probably because the owners weren't able to clean it. We think it is a surface collection of dirt. It is visible in the last picture. Modern Martini Tulip Table Mod Space Age Vintage White Plastic
Up for your consideration I have a modern white martini table in very good and clean vintage condition. It looks like it is from the late 60s or early 70s. Unsure of manufacturer. But the underside is embossed with‘patent pending’ The rectangular space above it is blank. All four rubber feet are still solid and in-tact. The metal band around the middle is also in very good condition. I believe this is one solid piece, with a metal bolt on the underside deep near the center of the neck, which has rusted out of shape. You can’t see this part unless you turn it upside down. It has not discolored any of the visible plastic. The exterior body is a pretty uniform ivory-white color but has a few very faint water marks from age or drips from a foreign source. The color variations in my photos are due to using an overhead fluorescent and a floodlight ... morein front. The top of the table has a few dings and stains and small darker flecks. When you pick up the table and turn upside down you can hear a small loose crumb rattling around inside. This is still a very solid piece with no visible chips or cracks. Mid Century Modern Tulip Dining Table & Swivel Chairs Burke Similar to Saarinen
Vintage Burke Tulip table and 4 swivel chairs. This is a very unique set. The original table is a nice rosewood laminate and is in overall very nice condition. There are some minor nicks around the edges. The tulip base I believe is aluminum and has a weighted center, the table top is removable as pictured. The top measures 48" in diameter and is 29" high. The 4 swivel chairs are a unique blend of colors with a naugahyde/vinyl mustard yellow back and armrests along with a vinyl removable seat cushion that is nice because you can wipe them clean when needed, the color on them is an aqua. The swivel bases are self centering and all function. Even the original foot glides are unique as they swivel to contour to an uneven floor. Burke really did a nice job on this set. RARE 1960's mid century modern Tulip Table Dining set with one large table and four chairs with arms. In good overall condition. Though it is vintage and shows some wear due to the age of the dining set. I believe it's Knoll but there are no stickers to authenticate which is why the price is 3 times lower than what a verifiable Knoll Saarinen Tulip Dining Set in this condition would be at retail. There are no cushions. They have been removed at some point and there are some slight glue markings which I think can be removed or you could buy or make new cushions. There is a thatched pattern on chairs. The bases have been repainted at least once. It doesn't fit with an upcoming renovation I'm doing in my kitchen. We are pleased to offer this beautiful. OLD, French inlay marquetry table. This wonderful accent table features a combination of mahogany and rosewood. There is a unique inlay design on the table top which features a tulip flower at each of the 4 corners. The table is oblong, not square, with rounded curves that soften the lines. The top is skirted on each side with an inlay design on the 2 longer skirted sections. The delicate cabriole legs feature a carved rose and leaf drapery detail on the upper sections with additional carving on the lower regions. The table is quite nice and is in good condition. There are some signs of age/use on the finish. The table top has been lightly refinished. The chairs are fiberglass seats with white vinyl padded cushions. The cushions have been recovered in new vinyl. The set is in excellent condition and it has been well cared for. On close inspection you will find a few vintage scuffs on the table edge and chair bases but nothing outstanding. The lamp measures approximately 26 inches from bottom to top of harp, 17 inches from bottom to top of socket, and has an 11 inch diameter body. The lamp does not include shade or finial.
