3-D Metal Art Ski,Skiers,Skiing-Curtis Jere?
Awesome craftsmanship of tin or metal work. This group of downhill skiiers is made or cut from all metal componets with shades of copper. Golden brass, bronze and silver tin, all fused together to give it an outstanding appearance. It has a ring or hook on the back side for hanging on the wall. It would look great in a ski lodge or over the mantel of a nice fireplace or any wall of someone who loves skiing, winter sports or outdoors. The details are great, as they are all dressed in their ski apparel complete with goggles and ski hat. It measures 41- 3/4 inches in length and 16 inches tall and protrudes several inches from the wall for a fabulous 3-D decor. It looks like or resembles the work of Curtis Jere, but I can't find a signature or date. Happy bidding.

Vintage 1978 Curtis Jere Wall Sculpture Mid Century Modern Art Eames Mad Men C
This auction is for one rare 1978 Curtis Jere geometric shapes wall sculpture. We are getting ready to move. So we are scaling back some of our art pieces. This piece is signed"C. Jere 1978" in black paint on one of the chrome shapes. There is also a gold foil label on the back of the piece that reads"FINE SCULPTURES BY C. JERE ARTISAN HOUSE, INC. LOS ANGELES CALIF. SEE PICTURE) Cosmetically, the chrome and brass shapes have scratches and spots of surface rust(see pictures) It needs to be cleaned. The surface rust and scratches may be removable with a proper cleaning. We were too afraid we would do something wrong and ruin the piece, so we never tried to clean or polish it. Vintage 1970 Curtis Jere Enameled Copper & Quartz Flower Sculpture
VIntage C. Jere Enameled Copper Flower in Quartz Base A nice vintage. Modern sculpture by Curtis Jeré, the company founded in 1963 by Curtis Freiler and Jerry Fels to bring"gallery-quality art for the masses. C. Jeré" became the pseudonym for their American, hand-made works. This sculpture of a flower is constructed out of enameled and patinated sheet copper. Copper wire, and quartz. The flower is enameled in three colors-blue, yellow and green- the leaves patinated a lovely green color, and the quartz base has red-orange iron inclusions in the top. The piece is 13.5" tall and 19.5" wide(the way the leaves are currently positioned; they could be moved if desired) The base is 6.5" by 2.75" by 3" tall. The stem isn't fixed into it. It looks like someone may have scrubbed this piece many years ago, possibly washing off the Jere mark. It is 32" long and 15" high(at the highest point) In very good condition with no cracked. Broken, or missing parts, and no broken braze/ weld points. The brass has developed a nice patina over the years. Please message with any questions. hi this is another attr. to curtis jere similar to the owls listed here on ebay. this came from the same estate and has the same beak and eyes made out of brass as the owls. It looks more like a chicken to me than an owl so the buyer can decide what kind of bird it is. This bird sits flat on the surface. It is unknown if it had feet my opinion is it did not as it is so large it would be difficult for it to stand. the size is.9 inches tall,9 inches wide and almost 11 inches beak to tail. I have not found one of these on ebay or anywhere else. It is quite heavy so shipping is 15.00 bucks. I will take a few bucks off if you buy both. see my other listing for the smaller one. Description: This is a nice copper art vase done in the Brutalist style and probably dates from the early 60s. It was made from industrial materials. It almost looks like the artist made a copper vase from a length of pipe and then wrapped it in wire and then torched and rolled it to get the raised. Abstract relief effect before polishing it. The size. Scale and weight of it as well as the natural patina makes me think it could be a Curtis– Jere piece. The vase stands 8 1/4” tall and 2 1/2" wide. It weighs almost 2 ½ lbs. and feels quite hefty for its size. I cannot find any mark or signature but my guess is that there would originally have been a sticker on the blue felt base pad of the vase. The color and patina are what you’d expect of a piece of this vintage but please look atr all of my pictures to judge color and condition ... morefor yourself. These have long been attributed to Curtis Jere. I cannot find a signature on this one and I'm not sure if any of them have ever been signed. Excellent Mid Century look and feel. This one is 38"s long and about 20 inches tall and comes out from the wall about 4 inches. Fine condition with no breaks in the welds. A few bends here an there but easily straightened. They usually get a few more bends in shipping especially the geese wings. Nice patina on the coppery bronze on this example. Here is a huge Curtis Jere Wall Sculpture of three sailing sloops.It is in pretty good condition one weld is broken and the center boat has 2 slight creases on the rear sail where it was bent and straightened( see the last 2 photos) These were made in 1975 thru 1977 and this one is signed but not dated.The patina is nice and there is some light corrosion on the back frame work.It is about 53" long 32" high and 9" from the front to the wall so it is beyond the size that can be shipped by USPS. Vintage 1970's C. Jere Metal Wall Sculpture ~ Brppklyn Bridge. New York. Very large sculpture. I cannot find a signature, but this is 100% C. Jere.no doubt about it. Please enlarge the pictures for the best description. This is not a copper coated piece. It is a silver colored metal with darkening on some pieces, to show more depth maybe( It does have some areas of wear, might have been cleaned previously. I DID NOT clean it as I have no idea what to do and I did not want to harm the metal or the look of it. I think it is AWESOME as is! It has some very minor spots of brown or rust spots, can be seen in enlarge pictures. Measures 58.5" long x just under 22.5" tall at tallest x just under 5" deep. This is a large enameled copper plate made by Artisan House Enamels. The Curtis Jere Studios, circa 1975. It's hand-enameled in black and gold over a field of red enamel. Seems to depict maple leaves in a mid-century look pattern. Measures 15" in diameter. 1.75" deep, with bottom lined with a large cork pad. Includes original gold paper sticker with maker's name. Condition is excelent. No cracks, bends, dents, scratches of any kind. This plate has a small welded-in loop on back for hanging on the wall as art, or else you can just put it on a table. C Jere Curtis Jere signed mountain climbers sculpture or statue. Dated 1973
This auction is for the vintage C.Jere mountain climbers sculpture pictured. It is signed C.Jere 1973. Measures about 15 inches from bottom of stand to top of flag. Without the stand it is about 10 inches. The climber who is actually going up the mountain has a broken foot(bottom of leg is separated from the foot that is in the rock) This could be soldered back together or even super glued and you would have a tough time seeing it. I did not want to be dishonest and repair it. So I am leaving it as is for whoever is interested in this piece. You can see it good in picture# 3. The base has some scratches and dings(picture# 5) It looks like there was a plaque stuck on it at one time. It is still very solid. Although this piece has its issues, it is still an original from the 1970's and is still a very neat item. I have found similar ones ... moreand they are asking 200.00 to 500.00 on other sites. Here's an excellent vintage red rose sculpture on a stone base done in the Curtis Jere style. It is not marked. The rose is copper and is painted red on the front. It has the beaded welding details. There are three leaves which also have the beading detail. The stem of the rose is brass and comes down into a little piece of stone which looks like nature marble. The flower measures about 8 inches tall. The sculpture is in excellent condition. The marble base is naturally rough as you can see in the pictures. Up for auction is a large approx. 52" x 32" Original Curtis Jere Signed Metal and Brass Cubist Wall Hanging Sculpture. Jere mixed the metal and brass cubes giving it a shimmering effect when the lighting is just so. Curtis Jere was a well known Modernist Artist and continued producing his pieces beyond the Mid century period. Just about up to the day he died in 2008. This one was created in 1998 toward the end of his career. Piece protrudes approx 5" out from wall. Iron braces welded at back with several loops for hanging. Condition is good with the only issue of note being one weld mark where one of the cubes apparently fell off during moving(see last two photos for location and close up) If you are, or know someone that is a welder/sculpter it wouldn't take much to duplicate the missing cube and replace it if your chose ... moreto. Signed Curtis C Jere Large Metal Owl Sculpture Mid Century Modern Vintage 69'
Here is a nice example of a C Jere owl. He is signed and dated.1969 He is in overall good vintage condition. There are a few minor spots of texture loss and cracking. But nothing major.I have pictured these spots to the best of my ability- small spot on the top(pic 7) inside of one"horn"pic 8) outside of one"horn" pic 9) He has stood up well over time, and is a stunning piece. Would make a great addition to any Mid Century Modern home, or a unique piece for designers and stagers. Like the majority of these owls. The original base is missing.
