Hello. I have for sale a pair of Art Deco style molded glass and chrome wall sconces, each frosted pink shade is decorated with a ribbed motif and central figure of a nude in relief, set in a chrome frame. I was told they were made in Holland. I am a guy whose taste is not quite this style. By the pictures you can see they do operate. Unfortunately one does have a very tiny nick. This does not affect the looks though when the glass is sitting in the chrome frame. They measure 9 1/2"high, 10 1/2 wide and weigh approx. 5 lb. I hope the pictures and info help. Any? An exceptionally impressive statement piece for the discerning collector. The lamp has a central chromed feature in the shape of Saturn suspended between superb stepped chrome columns and a circular multi-stepped base in chrome/black bakelite/chrome surmounting a black lacquered foot with black felt to the underside. Further enhancing the lamp’s striking visual impact is its white cased glass Saturn-inspired spherical shade encircled by a wide chrome band fixed at the back with a tiny chrome screw. The lamp has recently been refitted with a high quality chrome bulb-holder(bayonet type) Rewired with luxury ... morequality twisted braided black cord complete with a black bakelite plug and. Last but not least. Features an original 1930’s 12-sided inline switch in black bakelite. The chrome gleaming bright and mirror-like. The bakelite glossy and free from chips or cracks and the black lacquered foot in flawless condition. All dark/white patches/marks are merely reflections. Virtually unnoticeable except on very close scrutiny there is a minor casting flaw toward the back. Between the 9 and 10 o'clock position, on the stepped chrome component of the base, i.e. A minute sliver of metal missing on the lowermost edge(see last photo) The shade has one of the usual minute chips to the collar. Art Deco Belmet Rollodor Self Righting Chrome Rolling Ashtray Smoking Stand
This rolling ashtray has a heavy weighted base and it always brings itself to a straight upright position after moving it. It measures 24" tall with surface rust and pitting to the cigar holder and the ashtray bowl. The bowl is spring loaded for dumping the ashes. There is some surface rust to the handle on the shaft, and the chrome is a little tarnished. It's a cool machine age art deco piece that's worthy of restoring.

A 1930s CHROME ART DECO LAMP BASE - FOX HUNTING DESIGN RIDER HOUND FENCE TREE
Highly unusual example of an original art deco table lamp base featuring various elements of a fox hunting scenario with chromium-pieces. The base itself is a dark hardwood with 7" diameter. Affixed to this are three pieces 1) a mounted huntsman with a hound running at his side. 2) a three bar fence and 3) behind this a gnarled treestump which carries the electrical flex to the light fitment. The back plate measures about 6" x 1.5" and has a hole in each corner for fixing to the door, the handle is about 3.5" long and cut in typical art deco style,the keyhole escution is about 0.75" or 19mm in size, they will take the normal sized square bar as you can see in picture two( included) the condition original used and very good.

I believe may be Wade cellulose but I'm not sure. She has been completely over-painted, there is possibly a crack around her waist or it might just be the paint layer. I have not had this tested as safe to use as a light so I am selling purely as a decorative object.

I have not been able to find this exact table, with the single strap steel at bottom. All of the examples I have found, that closely match this table, are attributed to Hoffman and/ or The Howell Co. Hoffman did do some work before joining Howell, in the 1930's. I can not definitively say this is a Hoffman, but in the"style of" Sometimes spelled Hoffmann. The condition is. What it is, a restoration project or an"idea" pattern for a project. The chrome is pealing throughout and the iron is rusting and has pitting. The redemptive quality, for an item that has been in a out building for 50+ years, is the soundness of strap ... moreand tube iron The strap iron is sound with no trauma or bending or weak points. The tube iron has no denting or trauma. There is more pronounced pitting at lowest run of tubing. At top and bottom, lower left picture#2, lower left picture#5, 6 and face of arch bend# 7. There are no rust through points. A screw driver or awl will not penetrate pits, using arm power, I did not use a hammer. The wood is shot and a big portion of second shelf is missing. Almost all of the screw holes in wood are wollered out. And do not hold, I have shoved them in as pins for pictures. The top is constructed of 3/32" laminate over a butcher block style body. Total thickness is 1" The shelf is a little over 5/8" and was one board. Fine grained, like poplar or maple. The two metal screws and threads. And rail receiving threads, are in good shape and fasten properly. Screws pictured. Are original to the piece. The screws. That attach the mounting strap steel, at top of tube leg, are frozen. I made one attempt to unscrew and decided to leave alone, slots are still crisp. Picture#10. Mid century modern. Industrial age.

Up for bids is a fantastic old lamp from a Cape cod estate. It is in excellent original condition with only light wear. It stands about 16" tall to the top of the arm. The shade is about 7 1/2" in diameter. And the base is about 6 1/2" in diameter. The cord is in good shape and free from cuts or splices. The plug is the original bakelite type. A great 1920s-30s Art Deco Mantel Clock. British made, it has a 24hr movement I think? and is running, but as with any old clock it may/probally need lubricating/servicing, the Chrome is in very good condition, the only real negative is there is a mottling to some off the dial, may be removable? but it is not so obvious when on a mantel or table, the clock is missing it hand set knob, case to the rear stamped British Made Case, the clock is quite heavy for its size as the base is Chromed Cast Brass the clock measures 6" Tall x 6.5" Wide.

1940's Art Deco Chrome Toast-O-Lator J Automated Toaster Vintage Antique No Res

New Art Deco Chrome Toast-O-Lator Automated Toaster Electric Antique Vintage Art Deco chrome and bakelite Toast-O-Lator Mdel J toaster. Originating in the 1930s as the Crocker Wheeler Electric MFG. Co. They later became the Toast-O-Lator Co. Inc in the mid'40s. This toaster is a Model J. The toaster has a unique mechanism with the bread being placed in the toaster on the right side. The bread then moves according to the setting of light to dark i.e. light will go through quickly and the dark setting will move slower. The bread is moved through on a conveyor type bars. The timing is controlled by a silent accurate electric motor. The exclusive Wind-O-Spy, on bot sides, enables you to watch the bread ... moremove by as it is being toasted. At the left end of the toaster the bakelite base is rounded so the toast can drop down and out. The akelite has no cracks or breaks or repairs and just needs a good cleaning. The chrome is in wonderful condition except for a couple of small rust spots seen in closeups. I have not cleaned or polished it. The original cloth cord is in excellent condition. Chase Chrome Art Deco "Triple Tray" Serving
This is an hors d'oeuvres/sandwich/cake tray made by the chase company. Circa 1930-40's. The finish is satin chromium, and it has embossed"cube-esque swirl" designs. It is foldable for easy storage, and measures 7 1/8" high, 11" wide, and 13" long in the open position, and 7 1/8" X 11" folded. There are some slight discoloration spots(pics. 5& 6) Otherwise it bears only a minimal amount of wear from 8 decades. Although this particular item does not bear the Chase Logo centaur, it is most certainly an authentic Chase piece. ART DECO STEPPED GLASS LAMP SHADE WITH CHROME SHADE HOLDER
A lovely art deco stepped glass table lamp shade with chrome shade holder. Dating from the 1930s. The shade is mottled orange glass with darker orange streaks running through it and it is hexagonal in shape with stepped sides. It measures 7 1/2" tall x 7" wide at the base. There is some surface rust on the inside of the shade holder. Otherwise it is all in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. This fixture measures approximately 13" x 6" There's a switch and a receptacle on the fixture. Which are both in working condition. The shade is frosted and has some blemishes(scrapes, discoloration etc. due to age. The chrome has some pitting and discoloration spots. It shows it's age, as this is a vintage fixture. In order to change the bulb. You have to pull on both of the side arms to release the shade(similar to the function of a toilet paper holder) I don't think the switch is original to the fixture. But I think the original looked similar to this, although it may have been a push button. This is a toggle switch. Perfect light to go over a bathroom ... morevanity or it could be hung directly on the ceiling. Try it sideways as a sconce! Many wonderful purposes for this cool retro lights. There is a silver plate on the top of register inscribed"National 3652107 5267" I am not sure what these numbers indicate but I would guess maybe model# and serial# I do not have any keys for this and have no way of opening it so I do not know what it looks like inside. I don't know what sort of operational shape this is in either. The metal is a bit dull but a quick cleaning with some extra fine steel wool will bring the original shine back. An all original. Attractive chrome electric 1940's Fireplace/ appliance. Very cool art deco form in a wonderful chromed metal finish. Sleek and streamlined mid-century modern graphic design featuring 3 horizontal chrome bars across the front of the unit. There are 2 switches on the side of the unit. One on/off switch for the heater and the other on/off switch for the light bulb on the interior which illuminates the faux black glass" coals" and creates the illusion of the"coals" glowing. The faux black glass" coals" rest upon a piece of glass on the top of the unit and are also glued to a piece of glass down the front side. The" coals" appear to be glowing with heat when the unit is turned on. It looks great from every angle. It comes with all the coals(mica. I believe) although about 70% have come ... moreloose from the top and need to be reglued or you can just let them rest on top of the glass. Chrome is in very nice condition for its age. No dents. Some call this a 1939 NY Worlds Fair lamp, not sure about that. No manufacturers mark. Pictures tell the story! Thanks for looking!

OLD VINTAGE 1948 ARVIN CHROME ART DECO TUBE RADIO MODEL 422 WORKING CONDITION
This is a carefully preserved 1948 Arvin 4 tube radio Model 442 it was manufactured by Noblitt-Sparks Industries.Inc.13th Street& Big Four R.R. Columbus, Indiana. The chassis with its four tube circuit was common to several metal midget models of this era and designed for local radio reception. The cabinet of this radio has a nice super reflective chrome finish.This radio has been restored electronically having all of the old wax paper capacitors replaced with all new modern capacitors for better reliability,performance and tube longevity. This radio has been tested for several days after servicing,wile playing with loud clear volume and tunes in many radio stations across the dial. A new AC power cord was also installed for safety reasons. The dimensions of the radio cabinet are as follows Length 6 inches Height 5 1/4 inches With 4 1/2 ... moreinches.
