Mid-Century Sculptural "Brushstroke" Chrome Lamp by the Laurel Lamp Co.
True. Mid-Century Lighting ~ A pretty well sought after design by The Laurel Lamp Co. It's known as the Brushstroke lamp as it is said to have been designed after Roy Lichtenstein's 1960s Brushstroke series of paintings of Abstract Expressionism. When found. This lamp lives on the high-end Mid-Century Modern websites such as 1stdibs.com in the $800 to $1200 range and is gobbled up quickly. Here you have a chance to own a statement lighting feature for your Mid-Century/Hollywood Regency designed home or office for low $$. About the lamp: Black metal base measures 5" x 5" x 6" H and leads up into the beautiful chrome sculpltural Brushstroke. Which itself measures about 18.5" long. Total height of the lamp to top of socket is about 30" I have the original harp and finial(see pics) they both need to be cleaned ... moreup. Persoanlly I would toss the harp and polish the finial, I believe the finial will come back with some cleaning/polish. Both the black metal base and the chrome sculptural portion are free of any notable scratches or damage. I would merely polish/buff up the chrome to make it pop, nothing more is required. About the condition: This lamp needed a new socket. I attempted to install one. But I'm not so clever. I put one on, and it works. This lamp is tested to work. My issue is I can't get the threaded base of the socket to fit on the threaded rod at the top of the lamp that contains the wiring, so it's just flopping about up there. Easy fix. I'm just going to let you do it. Once you do, I would suggest a new harp, but you could use the original one if you'd like as it's included in this auction, and hopefully you can polish out that finial(see the final picture on this listing) Get a shade to your liking, and you have a killer well-known Mid-Century Sculptural Chrome Lamp by The Laurel Lamp Co. to show in your home or office. Modern Floor Lamp, Mid-Century. Kovacs, Sonneman, Laurel style, Marble base
Nice mid-century floor lamp with marble base. I have seen this attributed to aforementioned designers/manufacturers but really have no idea who came up with this. Approx. 51" tall as photographed. Taller if swivel lamp head is pointed upwards. It's a satiny gold finish cylinder with a more brassy(perhaps actual brass) neck. The base is a lovely carrera marble. Pretty heavy overall. There are a few flea-bites in the black inner paint on the outer edge of the cylinder, but that is an easy fix with some flat black or just polish down the outer edge. Overall, good vintage condition. And looking at it from a couple feet away, it looks great! USA only please, no exceptions. Thanks!

Great Vintage Brass Teak Mid Century Table Lamp Lightolier? Laurel? Thurston?
This is a super vintage teak oval base and brass accent lamp from the 50's or 60's. It is not signed. But the shade is very reminiscent of those done by Thurston for Lightolier. It is all original and is in working condition with a 3 way switch that operates the 3 bulbs- 1-2- or all 3 lit. Condition of the base is great with no issues and very little wear. There is a plastic diffuser under the bulbs that gives off great ambience. As I have pictured, the shade has a few issues. The top ring at one time has come apart and someone long ago used ingenuity by using some silk ribbon to hold the top to the ring. There are also a couple of marks on the shade and normal browning to the interior paper. I have tried to picture these issues so please look before bidding. The lamp stands approx. 22" tall and the shade is approx. 20 1/2"in ... morediameter. The teak oval on the base measures approx. 9" in diameter. Vintage Laurel Brass Tulip Base Orb Lamp Mid Century
This is a great little Laurel lamp(with original label) in brass with the tulip base. I believe that this is the original frosted Laurel orb shade as well. The lamp is in working condition with original cord and 3 way switch. The lamp stands approx. 12" tall with the shade and the shade is approx. 7 1/2" in diameter. Please notice in my pics that there is a small hairline crack at the base of the shade that measures approx. 2" As you can see in the lighted picture of the shade. This is barely noticeable. There are also a few small fleabite chips in the base of the shade that are not noticeable when the shade is sitting in the lamp base. The base is in very nice condition, but I have shown an apparent factory issue with what appears to be a finish flaw. Impressive Laurel Lamp Co. Newark NJ, vintage/retro lucite and either stainles s or chrome table lamp. The metal and lucite are in excellent condition. Crystal clear and the metal is shiny. Any scratches are minimal and barely perceptib le. Two lucite chunky pulls measure 5" long X 3/4" square. The base is 8 1/2" X 5 1/4" and the lamp is 31 1/2" tall to the top finial. The black shade is suitable. Though there is some dark staining on the white interior as shown in the 7th photo, which does not show from the outside. Th is piece is much better than the ph otos show. The camera could not cap ture the clarity of the molded lucite and central metal core and bolts ad equately. Though I trie d. Mid Century Modern Chrome Lamp ~ Laurel Lamp Co.
Wonderful vintage mid century modern chrome table lamp by the Laurel Lamp Co. The top and bottom sections are polished chrome while the large center section has a contrasting brushed finish. The lamp is about 35 1/2" tall to the top of the harp and 22" tall at the top of the square section. It is 5" x 5" square. It has a 3-way socket and works fine. The lamp is missing the finial and the polished chrome sections have some marks and scuffs but nothing really bad. Otherwise the lamp is in great condition. Does not come with shade. Vintage Laurel Mid Century Modern Lamp. Great cond..3 way switch. Tested-Works
Here is a very sleek and stylish Laurel(style? lamp perfect for your Mid Century Modern home. I say Laurel style because I can not find any markings but based on very similar Laurel lamps I've seen with the silver or brass with faux wood I am assuming it's Laurel* For comparison and to help you make your opinion.see item#s 271180490689 and 110589950573(these are NOT my listing's.only to serve as a comparison) It is naturally silver(brushed aluminum is my best guess) with wood(faux wood adhesive) inserts. Finial(great shape) will be included but no lamp shade. There is no rust or pitting on the lamp. The harp has a few marks on it and is not perfect aesthetically but it it functional. I would call the condition of the lamp itself virtually blemish free. There is one mark in the metal on the back. Near the top.it is pictured in ... morepic 8 and from what I can tell it looks like a manufacturers mistake, not something that happened after purchase. Also pictured in pic 6 is a small air bubble type imperfection in the faux wood side panel. When I bought the lamp I thought it was a very light gold.and it was.but the gold hue turned out to be a patina of sorts. I noticed this as I was cleaning the back side and it was becoming increasingly silver! SO.I immediately stopped what I was doing and decided to let the next owner assess the situation for themselves and pick if you want to keep the front of the lamp goldish or indeed restore it to it's natural color of silver. Please do not be afraid that I was taking off the finish.I was merely using water. The lamp stands 26" to the socket and 35" to the top of the finial. The base itself stands 18 1/2" to the top of the outward flanges. The bottom of the base is 5 1/2" wide by 6" deep. There is a felt cover on the bottom.I did NOT remove the felt to look for any markings. The 3 way socket says Leviton on it. It may have been a replacement. We offer this Monumental Mid-Century Laurel Lamp Co. of Newark, New Jersey Acrylic& chrome table lamp. The metalware and Lucite portions of this sky scraper form lighting device remain in excellent condition with only a few hair-thin scratches present. The metal is shiny and any scratches are minimal and barely perceptible. The Lucite has almost none at all. Considering this piece is about 50 years old. Remarkably, it still remains almost show-room clean! The two chunky Lucite pulls each measure 5" long X 3/4" square. The base measures 9 1/4" wide X 5" deep(fully assembled) and the lamp stands an impressive 32" tall to the top of the original chrome finial. This is a very unique 1960's Mid Century Signature Laurel Tulip/Genie Lamp. It is in excellent working condition. It is a three way lamp. It has been tested and lights up in all three modes. The cord is original and also in Excellent condition. The general condition of the brushed nickel lamp base. Is fair. It has pimpling on the base, to the best of my knowledge this is an effect that is suppose to be there. Mid Century Modern"Chrome Dome" table lamp by Laurel. Lamp is not marked but is undeniably a Laurel Lamp.The dimensions are: 28.5" tall with 16.25" x 8" shade that has white enamel on the inside. The base measure 7" in diameter and 4" in height. The Lamp is in excellent condition. The shade looks very good although it has some light scratches and two dings one is an outword ding and one inward as though someone missed the harp puting the shade back on. The top of the shade at the finial area is a little out of shape but once together with finial on it is not even noticeable. The imperfections are very slight and difficult to photograph.I tried but they hardly show. FANTASTIC PERIOD PIECE!

Labeled Laurel Lamp Mid Century Modern at its Finest! Terrific Brass Lamp
This is a fabulous lamp. I believe that it is brass as the body does not react to a magnet and the body is a pale brass color. As you can see. The body is covered oval medallions that add texture and visual stimuli to the lamp. The lamp works and is in great shape. The lamp is 27 inches tall to the top of the socket and slightly under.5 inches in diameter at the widest part of the lamp. The Underwriter's Laboratories label states that this lamp is from the Laurel Lamp MFG. Co. All in all this is really a terrific piece! MID CENTURY MODERN LAUREL ALUMINUM SKYSCRAPER LAMP
Fabulous retro Mid-Century Modern by Laurel Lamp Co. Skyscraper stylized lamp! Beautiful contrasting smooth& brushed aluminum base. The base measures 24.75" to the top of socket. 34" base to top of harp as shown. the top of the"skyscraper is 4" x 2.25" the base is 4.75" by 4.25" square. the piece extending from the skyscraper is 4" and is not aluminum. It weighs a bit under 11 lbs. There are some slight scratches. They seem worse in the photos and it needs a new cord and the felt on the bottom. It does work and is a 3 way lamp. Many famous designers worked for this company, but I found no signatures. Feel free to ask questions.

The company strove to become the Cadillac of Lighting and hired superb design talent to put their lamps always a notch above the competition. They dealt with Swedish. Italian and Danish designers. Often importing the necessary materials from Europe to be assembled in their factory. This lamp is one of the designs penned by Gio Ponti and he affectionately referred to this as"Haughty Trumpet" design. It was available in several configurations as a single floor lamp. A three shade floor lamp and a tension pole lamp with three shades. It was a big success for Laurel Lamp and Gio Ponti. Eero Saarinen would come out with a"Tulip" ... morebased seating design for Knoll slightly later(1958) and causing some to say Saarinen was clearly"inspired" by Ponti's base design. Saarinen. In response, said his design had undergone five years of development. It didn't matter. Both the Knoll Tulip series of furnishings and Laurel"Trumpet" lamps sold well to the upper echelon of the retail market. This lamp is in the very rare and sought-after Ivory/White color. It's almost impossible to find one with this color. Most were black. Lime or orange. This floor lamp is in great condition. The enamel has only a few marks and still has a great luster on the shade. Inside the shade and on the base. It gleams and this makes it look like it cant possibly be over half a century old! The brass goose neck shines. The electrical works perfectly and there is just a small amount of tarnish where the shade meets the brass adjustment handle. This lamp still has its maker label affixed to the inside of the shade as imaged in the sixth picture. You are bidding on a nice vintage Laurel cube lamp with Italian blown glass shade. This lamp is completely original and does work. The lamp is marked“Laurel Lamp MFG Co. Newark” near the bulb(see pic) but the original sticker on the underside of the shade is missing. The missing sticker read. Hand Blown Glass. Made in Italy. Bubbles, lines, slight surface defects or discolorations are characteristics of all fine hand blown and handcrafted glass. They are not to be considered as defects. The shade is in perfect condition. I could not find any chips, scratches, or defects. The shade has a lever which releases the shade and makes it much easier to change the bulb. This is a great feature of the design! The lamp takes a slightly smaller bulb with a max of 60 watts. The base is metal painted in white to match the shade. It has a couple scuffs/scratches ... morebut is in great vintage condition. I’m sure it could be touched up very easily. The lamp has the original brown cord that measures roughly 5 feet long with the clicker(on/off switch) on the cord near the base of the lamp.
